< Judges 20 >

1 And all the children of Israel went out, and all the congregation was gathered as one man, from Dan even to Bersabee, and in the land of Galaad, to the Lord at Massepha.

2 And all the tribes of Israel stood before the Lord in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.
Bakambi ya bato nyonso, ya mabota nyonso ya Isalaele bazalaki kati na lisanga ya bato ya Nzambe: ezalaki na basoda nkoto nkama minei oyo batambolaka na makolo mpe bayebi kobunda na mopanga.
3 And the children of Benjamin heard that the children of Israel were gone up to Massepha: and the children of Israel came and said, Tell us, where did this wickedness take place?
Bana ya libota ya Benjame bayokaki ete bana ya Isalaele mosusu bakendeki kuna na Mitsipa. Bongo bana ya Isalaele balobaki: — Yebisa biso ndenge nini kufa ya somo boye esalemaki.
4 And the Levite, the husband of the woman that was slain, answered and said, I and my concubine went to Gabaa of Benjamin to lodge.
Molevi, mobali ya mwasi oyo babomaki, alobaki: — Ngai mpe makangu na ngai, toyaki na Gibea, na mokili ya Benjame mpo na kolekisa butu.
5 And the men of Gabaa rose up against me, and compassed the house by night against me; they wished to kill me, and they have humbled my concubine, and she is dead.
Na kati-kati ya butu, bavandi ya Gibea batombokelaki ngai mpe bazingelaki ndako mpo ete baboma ngai; basangisaki nzoto na makasi na makangu na ngai, mpe akufaki.
6 And I laid hold of my concubine, and divided her in pieces, and sent [the parts] into every coast of the inheritance of the children of Israel; for they have wrought lewdness and abomination in Israel.
Nakamataki makangu na ngai, nakataki ye na biteni mpe natindaki eteni moko na moko kati na etuka oyo bapesaki na bana ya Isalaele, pamba te bato ya libota ya Benjame basalaki likambo ya somo mpe ya soni.
7 Behold, all you [are] children of Israel; and consider and take counsel here among yourselves.
Sik’oyo, bino nyonso bana ya Isalaele, boloba mpe bokata likambo oyo.
8 And all the people rose up as one man, saying, No one of us shall return to his tent, and no one of us shall return to his house.
Bato nyonso batelemaki lokola moto moko mpe balobaki: « Moto moko te kati na biso akozonga na ndako na ye ya kapo to na ndako na ye.
9 And now this [is] the thing which shall be done in Gabaa; we will go up against it by lot.
Tala sik’oyo likambo oyo tokosala bato ya Gibea: Tokokende kobundisa bango kolanda ndenge zeke oyo tokobeta ekotalisa.
10 Moreover we will take ten men for a hundred for all the tribes of Israel, and a hundred for a thousand, and a thousand for ten thousand, to take provision, to cause them to come to Gabaa of Benjamin, to do to it according to all the abomination, which they wrought in Israel.
Tokozwa bato zomi kati na bato nkama moko ya mabota nyonso ya Isalaele, tokozwa bato nkama moko kati na bato nkoto moko mpe bato nkoto moko kati na bato nkoto zomi, mpo na kopesa biloko ya kolia epai ya mampinga. 11 And all the men of Israel were gathered to the city as one man.
Boye, mibali nyonso ya Isalaele basanganaki esika moko mpe bayokanaki lokola moto moko mpo na kobundisa engumba Gibea.
12 And the tribes of Israel sent men through the whole tribe of Benjamin, saying, What [is] this wickedness that has been wrought among you?
Bato ya bikolo ya Isalaele batindaki mibali kati na mabota nyonso ya Benjame mpe balobaki: « Ndenge nini bosali lisumu ya somo boye kati na bino?
13 Now then give up the men the sons of transgressors that are in Gabaa, and we will put them to death, and purge out wickedness from Israel: but the children of Benjamin consented not to listen to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel.
Sik’oyo, botindela biso bato mabe wana ya Gibea mpo ete toboma bango mpe tolongola mabe kati na Isalaele. » Kasi bato ya Benjame baboyaki koyokela baninga na bango, bana ya Isalaele.
14 And the children of Benjamin were gathered from their cities to Gabaa, to go forth to fight with the children of Israel.
Wuta na bingumba na bango nyonso ya mike, bato ya libota ya Benjame basanganaki esika moko, na Gibea, mpo na kobundisa bana ya Isalaele.
15 And the children of Benjamin from their cities were numbered in that day, twenty-three thousand, [every] man drawing a sword, besides the inhabitants of Gabaa, who were numbered seven hundred chosen men of all the people, able to use both hands alike;
Na mokolo wana, bato ya libota ya Benjame basangisaki basoda nkoto tuku mibale na motoba oyo bayebi kobunda na mopanga, wuta na bamboka na bango nyonso ya mike, longola kaka engumba Gibea oyo esangisaki mibali ya bitumba nkama sambo.
16 All these could sling with stones at a hair, and not miss.
Kati na basoda wana, ezalaki na mibali nkama sambo ya makasi oyo basalelaka loboko ya mwasi. Moto moko na moko kati na bango, soki abwaki libanga na nzela ya ebambelo mabanga, ekoki soki moke te kozanga kotuta suki moko.
17 And the men of Israel, exclusive of Benjamin, were numbered four hundred thousand men that drew sword; all these [were] men of war.
Mibali ya Isalaele, longola kaka bato ya libota ya Benjame, bazalaki nkoto nkama minei, ba-oyo bayebi kosalela mopanga; mpe bango nyonso bazalaki bato ya bitumba.
18 And they arose and went up to Baethel, and enquired of God: and the children of Israel said, Who shall go up for us first to fight with the children of Benjamin? And the Lord said, Juda shall go up first as leader.
Bana ya Isalaele bakendeki na Beteli mpe batunaki Nzambe: — Nani kati na biso asengeli kokende mpo na kobundisa libota ya Benjame? Yawe azongisaki: — Yuda akokende liboso.
19 And the children of Israel rose up in the morning, and encamped against Gabaa.
Na tongo oyo elandaki, bana ya Isalaele bakendeki mpe batongaki molako na bango pembeni ya Gibea.
20 And they went out, all the men of Israel, to fight with Benjamin, and engaged with them at Gabaa.
Mibali ya Isalaele babimaki mpo na kobundisa bato ya libota ya Benjame mpe bamibongisaki mpo na kobundisa bango na Gibea.
21 And the sons of Benjamin went forth from Gabaa, and they destroyed in Israel on that day two and twenty thousand men down to the ground.
Bato ya libota ya Benjame babimaki na Gibea mpe babomaki, mokolo wana, mibali ya Isalaele nkoto tuku mibale na mibale.
22 And the men of Israel strengthened themselves, and again engaged in battle in the place where they had engaged on the first day.
Kasi mibali ya Isalaele bamilendisaki, bango na bango, mpe babongamaki na esika oyo bazalaki na mokolo ya liboso.
23 And the children of Israel went up, and wept before the Lord till evening, and enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall we again draw near to battle with our brethren the children of Benjamin? and the Lord said, Go up against them.
Bana ya Isalaele bakendeki mpe balelaki liboso ya Yawe kino na pokwa, mpe batunaki Yawe: — Boni, tokende lisusu kobundisa bandeko na biso ya libota ya Benjame? Yawe azongiselaki bango: — Bokende kobundisa bango.
24 And the children of Israel advanced against the children of Benjamin on the second day.
Na mokolo ya mibale, bana ya Isalaele babundisaki bato ya libota ya Benjame.
25 And the children of Benjamin went forth to meet them from Gabaa on the second day, and destroyed of the children of Israel yet further eighteen thousand men down to the ground: all these drew sword.
Na tango wana, bana ya libota ya Benjame bakimaki na Gibea mpo na kobundisa bana ya Isalaele, babomaki lisusu mibali ya Isalaele nkoto zomi na mwambe; bango nyonso bazalaki bato oyo bayebi kobunda na mopanga.
26 And the children of Israel and all the people went up, and came to Baethel; and they wept, and sat there before the Lord; and they fasted on that day until evening, and offered whole burnt offerings and perfect sacrifices, before the Lord,
Bana ya Isalaele bakendeki, bango nyonso, na Beteli, mpe kuna, bavandaki mpe balelaki liboso ya Yawe. Na mokolo wana, bana ya Isalaele bakilaki bilei kino na pokwa mpe babonzaki, epai na Yawe, mbeka ya kotumba mpe mbeka ya boyokani.
27 for the ark of the Lord God [was] there in those days,
Bana ya Isalaele batunaki Yawe. (Na mikolo wana, Sanduku ya Boyokani ya Nzambe ezalaki kuna.
28 and Phinees the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron stood before it in those days; and the children of Israel enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall we yet again go forth to fight with our brethren the sons of Benjamin? and the Lord said, Go up, to-morrow I will give them into your hands.
Pineasi, mwana mobali ya Eleazari, mwana mobali ya Aron, azalaki na mosala liboso ya Sanduku). Batunaki: — Boni, tokende lisusu kobundisa bandeko na biso, bato ya libota ya Benjame to te? Yawe azongisaki: — Bokende, pamba te, lobi, nakokaba bango na maboko na bino.
29 And the children of Israel set an ambush against Gabaa round about [it].

30 And the children of Israel went up against the children of Benjamin on the third day, and arrayed themselves against Gabaa as before.
Bana ya Isalaele bakendeki na mokolo ya misato kobundisa libota ya Benjame mpe bamibongisaki malamu mpo na kobundisa Gibea lokola na mbala ya liboso.
31 And the children of Benjamin went out to meet the people, and were all drawn out of the city, and began to strike and kill the people as before in the roads, whereof one goes up to Baethel, and one to Gabaa in the field, about thirty men of Israel.
Bana ya Benjame babimelaki bango mpe babendaki bango mosika ya engumba. Babandaki koboma bana ya Isalaele ndenge basalaki liboso; babomaki bato pene tuku misato kati na zamba, na nzela ya Beteli mpe ya Gibea.
32 And the children of Benjamin said, They fall before us as at the first: but the children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them out from the city into the roads; and they did so.
Libota ya Benjame bakanisaki ete bakobeta bango ndenge basalaki liboso. Nzokande bana ya Isalaele bazwaki mokano ya kokima mpe ya komema bango mosika ya engumba, mosika ya Gibea.
33 And all the men rose up out of their places, and engaged in Baal Thamar; and the liers in wait of Israel advanced from their place from Maraagabe.
Na bongo, bana ya Isalaele batelemaki na bisika na bango mpe bakendeki kosangana mpo na bitumba, na Bala-Tamari. Bana ya Isalaele, oyo babombamaki, babimaki na bisika na bango mpe balandaki bango na etando ya polele, na Gibea.
34 And there came over against Gabaa ten thousand chosen men out of all Israel; and the fight [was] severe; and they knew not that evil was coming upon them.
Mibali makasi ya Isalaele, nkoto zomi, babimaki na Gibea; mpe bitumba ezalaki makasi. Kasi bana ya libota ya Benjame basosolaki te mabe nini ekokomela bango.
35 And the Lord struck Benjamin before the children of Israel; and the children of Israel destroyed of Benjamin in that day a hundred and twenty-five thousand men: all these drew sword.
Yawe abetaki bana ya Benjame liboso ya Isalaele, mpe, na mokolo wana, bana ya Isalaele babomaki mibali nkoto tuku mibale na nkama moko kati na libota ya Benjame, ba-oyo bayebi kobunda na mopanga.
36 And the children of Benjamin saw that they were struck; and the men of Israel gave place to Benjamin, because they trusted in the ambuscade which they had prepared against Gabaa.
Bongo bana ya Benjame bamonaki ete bakweyi penza na bitumba. Nzokande bana ya Isalaele bakosaki kozonga sima mpo ete batiaki elikya na bango epai ya mibali oyo babombamaki pene ya Gibea.
37 And when they retreated, then the liers in wait rose up, and they moved toward Gabaa, and the whole ambush came forth, and they struck the city with the edge of the sword.
Mibali yango babimelaki mbala moko Gibea, bapanzanaki mpe babetaki engumba mobimba na mopanga.
38 And the children of Israel had a signal of battle with the liers in wait, that they should send up a signal of smoke from the city.
Mibali ya Isalaele mpe bandeko na bango, oyo babombamaki pene ya Gibea, bayokanaki na elembo moko: mibali oyo babombamaki basengeli komatisa wuta na engumba lipata ya milinga na likolo.
39 And the children of Israel saw that the liers in wait had seized Gabaa, and they stood in line of battle; and Benjamin began to strike down wounded ones among the men of Israel about thirty men; for they said, Surely they fall again before us, as in the first battle.
Tango bana ya Isalaele bamonaki lipata wana ya milinga, bapesaki mokongo na bitumba. Kasi mibali ya Benjame babandaki kobeta mpe koboma bana ya Isalaele pene tuku misato. Bakanisaki ete bakobeta bango ndenge basalaki liboso.
40 And the signal went up increasingly over the city as a pillar of smoke; and Benjamin looked behind him, and behold the destruction of the city went up to heaven.
Kasi tango lipata ya milinga ebandaki komata makasi na likolo, bana ya Benjame babalukaki mpe bamonaki engumba na bango mobimba kopela moto mpe komatisa likonzi monene ya lipata ya milinga.
41 And the men of Israel turned back, and the men of Benjamin hasted, because they saw that evil had come upon them.
Bana ya Isalaele babalolaki elongi na bango mpo na kotala mibali ya Benjame. Bongo mibali ya Benjame babangaki mpo ete bamonaki likama oyo ekomeli bango.
42 And they turned to the way of the wilderness from before the children of Israel, and fled: but the battle overtook them, and they from the cities destroyed them in the midst of them.
Boye, bapesaki bana ya Isalaele mokongo mpe bakimaki na nzela ya esobe. Kasi bitumba elandaki bango, mpe mibali ya Isalaele, oyo babimaki na engumba Gibea, basilisaki koboma bango nyonso na nzela na bango.
43 And they cut down Benjamin, and pursued him from Nua closely till they came opposite Gabaa on the east.
Bazingelaki bana ya Benjame, balandaki bango na kozanga kopema mpe banyataki bango na makolo kino liboso ya Gibea, na ngambo oyo moyi ebimelaka.
44 And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men: all these [were] men of might.
Kati na bana ya Benjame, mibali nkoto zomi na mwambe bakufaki: bango nyonso bazalaki bilombe ya bitumba.
45 And the rest turned, and fled to the wilderness to the rock of Remmon; and the children of Israel picked off of them five thousand men; and the children of Israel went down after them as far as Gedan, and they struck of them two thousand men.
Ndambo kati na bango bakimaki na nzela ya esobe, na ngambo ya libanga monene ya Rimoni. Na nzela, bana ya Isalaele babomaki bato nkoto mitano oyo balokotaki na nzela. Balandaki bango lisusu kino na Gideomi mpe babomaki mibali nkoto mibale.
46 And all that fell of Benjamin were twenty-five thousand men that drew sword in that day: all these were men of might.
Motango nyonso ya bana ya Benjame oyo bakufaki na mokolo wana ezalaki nkoto tuku mibale na mitano: bango nyonso bazalaki bilombe ya bitumba mpe bayebaki kobunda na mopanga.
47 And the rest turned, and fled to the wilderness to the rock of Remmon, even [six] hundred men; and they sojourned four months in the rock of Remmon.
Mibali nkama motoba kati na bango balongaki kopesa mokongo mpe kokima na nzela ya esobe kino na libanga monene ya Rimoni. Bawumelaki kuna sanza minei.
48 And the children of Israel returned to the children of Benjamin, and struck them with the edge of the sword from the city of Methla, even to the cattle, and every thing that was found in all the cities: and they burnt with fire the cities they found.
Mibali ya Isalaele bazongelaki bato ya libota ya Benjame mpe babomaki na mopanga mibali nyonso elongo na bibwele na bango, kobanda na engumba Gibea kino na bamboka mike. Batumbaki bamboka mike nyonso epai wapi balekaki.
