< Judges 10 >

1 And after Abimelech Thola the son of Phua rose up to save Israel, [being] the son of his father's brother, a man of Issachar; and he lived in Samir in mount Ephraim.
Pea naʻe tuʻu hake ki mui ia ʻApimeleki ʻa Tola ko e foha ʻo Pua, ko e foha ʻo Toto, ko e tangata ʻo ʻIsaka, ke ne fakamoʻui ʻa ʻIsileli; pea naʻe nofo ia ʻi Samili ʻi he moʻunga ʻo ʻIfalemi.
2 And he judged Israel twenty-three years, and died, and was buried in Samir.
Pea naʻa ne fakamaauʻi ʻa ʻIsileli ʻi he taʻu ʻe uofulu ma tolu, pea pekia ia, pea naʻe tanu ia ʻi Samili.
3 And after him arose Jair of Galaad, and he judged Israel twenty-two years.
Pea naʻe hoko mo ia ʻa Saili ko e tangata ʻo Kiliati, pea ne fakamaau ʻe ia ʻa ʻIsileli ʻi he taʻu ʻe uofulu ma ua.
4 And he had thirty-two sons riding on thirty-two colts, and they had thirty-two cities; and they called them Jair's towns until this day in the land of Galaad.
Pea naʻe toko tolungofulu hono foha naʻa nau heka ʻi he ngaahi ʻasi mui ʻe tolungofulu, pea naʻe tolungofulu ʻenau kolo, ʻaia ʻoku ui ko e ngaahi kolo ʻo Saili, ʻo aʻu ki he ʻaho ni, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he fonua ʻo Kiliati.
5 And Jair died, and was buried in Rhamnon.
Pea naʻe pekia ʻa Saili, pea tanu ia ʻi Kamoni.
6 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim, and Astaroth, and the gods of Aram, and the gods of Sidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Phylistines; and they forsook the Lord, and did not serve him.
7 And the Lord was very angry with Israel, and sold them into the hands of the Phylistines, and into the hand of the children of Ammon.
Pea naʻe tupu ai ke vela ʻae houhau ʻo Sihova ki ʻIsileli, pea ne fakatau kinautolu ki he nima ʻoe kau Filisitia, pea ki he nima ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻAmoni.
8 And they afflicted and bruised the children of Israel at that time eighteen years, all the children of Israel beyond Jordan in the land of the Amorite in Galaad.
Pea naʻe hongofulu taʻu mo e taʻu ʻe valu ʻi he kuonga ko ia mo ʻenau taʻomia ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli: ʻae fānau kotoa pē ʻa ʻIsileli naʻe nofo ʻi he potu ki kō atu ʻi Sioatani ʻi he fonua ʻoe kau ʻAmoli, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi Kiliati.
9 And the children of Ammon went over Jordan to fight with Juda, and Benjamin, and with Ephraim; and the children of Israel were greatly afflicted.
10 And the children of Israel cried to the Lord, saying, We have sinned against you, because we have forsaken God, and served Baalim.
Pea naʻe tangi ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli kia Sihova, ʻo pehē, “Kuo mau fai angahala kiate koe, ko e meʻa ʻi heʻemau liʻaki homau ʻOtua, mo ʻemau tauhi foki ʻa Peali.”
11 And the Lord said to the children of Israel, Did I not [save you] from Egypt and from the Amorite, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Phylistines,
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Sihova ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, “ʻIkai naʻaku fakamoʻui ʻakimoutolu mei he kakai ʻIsipite, pea mei he kau ʻAmoli, pea mei he fānau ʻa ʻAmoni, pea mei he kau Filisitia?
12 and from the Sidonians, and Amalec, and Madiam, who afflicted you? and you cried to me, and I saved you out of their hand?
Pea naʻe taʻomia foki ʻakimoutolu ʻe he kau Saitoni, mo e kau ʻAmaleki, pea mo e kau Maoni: pea ne mou tangi kiate au, pea ne u fakamoʻui ʻakimoutolu mei honau nima.
13 Yet you forsook me and served other gods; therefore I will not save you any more.
Ka kuo mou liʻaki au ke tauhi ʻae ngaahi ʻotua kehe: ko ia ʻe ʻikai te u kei fakamoʻui ʻakimoutolu.
14 Go, and cry to the gods whom you have chosen to yourselves, and let them save you in the time of your affliction.
‌ʻAlu ʻo tangi ki he ngaahi ʻotua ʻaia kuo mou fili: tuku kenau fakamoʻui ʻakimoutolu ʻi he ʻaho ʻo hoʻomou tuʻutāmaki lahi.”
15 And the children of Israel said to the Lord, We have sinned: do you to us according to all [that is] good in your eyes; only deliver us this day.
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli kia Sihova, “Kuo mau fai angahala: ke ke fai ʻe koe ʻaia ʻoku lelei kiate koe kiate kimautolu: ka ʻoku mau kole kiate koe ke ke fakamoʻui ʻakimautolu he ʻaho ni.”
16 And they put away the strange gods from the midst of them, and served the Lord only, and his soul was pained for the trouble of Israel.
Pea naʻa nau tukuange ʻiate kinautolu ʻae ngaahi ʻotua kehe naʻe ʻiate kinautolu, ʻonau tauhi ʻa Sihova: pea naʻe mamahi hono laumālie ʻi he mamahi ʻa ʻIsileli.
17 And the children of Ammon went up, and encamped in Galaad; and the children of Israel were gathered together and encamped on the hill.
Pea naʻe fakakātoa fakataha ai ʻae fānau ʻa ʻAmoni, ʻonau ʻapitanga ʻi Kiliati. Pea naʻe fakakātoa fakataha ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, ʻonau ʻapitanga ʻi Misipa.
18 And the people the princes of Galaad said every man to his neighbor, Who [is] he that shall begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall even be head over all that dwell in Galaad.
Pea naʻe fepehēʻaki ʻe he kakai mo e houʻeiki ʻo Kiliati, “Ko hai ʻae tangata ʻe kamata ʻae tau ki he fānau ʻa ʻAmoni? ʻE hoko ia ko e ʻeiki ki he kakai kotoa pē ʻo Kiliati.”
