Joshua 3
1 And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and departed from Sattin; and they came as far as Jordan, and lodged there before they crossed over.
Adeɛ kyee anɔpahema no, Yosua ne Israelfoɔ no nyinaa tu firii Sitim kɔduruu Asubɔnten Yordan nsunoa, baabi a wɔtenaa nna kakra ansa na wɔretwa.
2 And it came to pass after three days, [that] the scribes went through the camp;

3 and they charged the people, saying, When you shall see the ark of the covenant of the Lord our God, and our priests and the Levites bearing it, you shall depart from your places, and you shall go after it.
maa nnipa no akwankyerɛ sɛ, “Sɛ mohunu sɛ Lewifoɔ asɔfoɔ no so Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn Apam Adaka no a, monni wɔn akyi.
4 But let there be a distance between you and it; you shall stand as much as two thousand cubits [from it]. Do not draw near to it, that you may know the way which you are to go; for you have not gone the way before.
Esiane sɛ momfaa ha da no enti, wɔbɛkyerɛ mo ɛkwan. Momma akwansini fa nna mo ne wɔn ntam, na moammɛn Apam Adaka no. Monhwɛ na moammɛn ho.”
5 And Joshua said to the people, Sanctify yourselves against to-morrow, for to-morrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
Yosua ka kyerɛɛ nkurɔfoɔ no sɛ, “Monnwira mo ho, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔkyena Awurade bɛyɛ anwanwadeɛ wɔ mo mu.”
6 And Joshua said to the priests, Take up the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and go before the people: and the priests took up the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and went before the people.
Anɔpa no, Yosua ka kyerɛɛ asɔfoɔ no sɛ, “Mompagya Apam Adaka no na momfa nni nnipa no anim ntwa asubɔnten no.” Ɛno enti wɔsiim.
7 And the Lord said to Joshua, This day do I begin to exalt you before all the children of Israel, that they may know that as I was with Moses, so will I also be with you.
Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Yosua sɛ, “Ɛnnɛ, mɛhyɛ aseɛ ayɛ wo kɛseɛ wɔ Israelfoɔ no nyinaa ani so. Na ɛbɛma wɔahunu sɛ, meka wo ho sɛdeɛ na meka Mose ho no.
8 And now charge the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, As soon as you shall enter on a part of the water of Jordan, then you shall stand in Jordan.
Fa saa akwankyerɛ yi ma asɔfoɔ a wɔso Apam Adaka no: ‘Sɛ moduru Asubɔnten Yordan nsunoa hɔ a, monnante nkɔ nsuo no mu kakra na monnyina.’”
9 And Joshua said to the children of Israel, Come hither, and listen to the word of the Lord our God.
Na Yosua ka kyerɛɛ Israelfoɔ no sɛ, “Mommra mmɛtie asɛm a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn aka.
10 Hereby you shall know that the living God [is] among you, and will utterly destroy from before our face the Chananite, and the Chettite and Pherezite, and the Evite, and the Amorite, and the Gergesite, and the Jebusite.
Ɛnnɛ mobɛhunu sɛ Onyankopɔn teasefoɔ no ka mo ho. Ampa ara ɔbɛpam Kanaanfoɔ, Hetifoɔ, Hewifoɔ, Perisifoɔ, Girgasifoɔ, Amorifoɔ ne Yebusifoɔ.
11 Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passes over Jordan.
Monnwene ho! Apam Adaka a ɛyɛ Awurade a asase nyinaa yɛ ne dea no bɛdi mo anim de mo atware Asubɔnten Yordan.
12 Choose for yourselves twelve men of the sons of Israel, one of each tribe.
Afei, monyiyi nnipa dumienu a ɔbaako biara firi mmusuakuo dumienu no mu.
13 And it shall come to pass, when the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord of the whole earth rest in the water of Jordan, the water of Jordan [below] shall fail, and the water coming down from above shall stop.
Asɔfoɔ no bɛsoa Awurade a ɔyɛ asase nyinaa wura no Adaka no. Sɛ wɔn nan nya si nsuo no mu ara pɛ, asuo no bɛtwa afiri atifi ama ano aboa wɔ hɔ.”
14 And the people removed from their tents to cross over Jordan, and the priests bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord before the people.
Ɛberɛ a nnipa no sɔree sɛ wɔrekɔtwa Yordan no, asɔfoɔ a na wɔso Apam Adaka no dii wɔn anim.
15 And when the priests that bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord entered upon Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord were dipped in part of the water of Jordan; (now Jordan overflowed all its banks about the time of wheat harvest: )
Na ɛyɛ otwaberɛ mu enti na Yordan no ayiri aba nsunoa. Nanso, asɔfoɔ a wɔso Adaka no nan sii asuo no ano pɛ,
16 then the waters that came down from above stopped; there stood one solid heap very far off, as far as the region of Kariathiarim, and the lower part came down to the sea of Araba, the salt sea, till it completely failed; and the people stood opposite Jericho.
asuo no ano hyɛɛ aseɛ boaa wɔ nʼatifi fam, baabi a wɔfrɛ hɔ Adam a ɛbɛn Saretan. Na asuo a ɛwɔ anafoɔ no nso tene kɔguu Nkyene Ɛpo no mu kɔsii sɛ asuo no subɔnhwa no weeɛ. Enti, nnipa no nyinaa twaa wɔ beaeɛ bi a ɛbɛn Yeriko kuropɔn no.
17 And the priests that bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood on dry land in the midst of Jordan; and all the children of Israel went through on dry land, until all the people had completely gone over Jordan.
Saa ɛberɛ no mu, asɔfoɔ a wɔso Awurade Apam Adaka no gyinaa asase kesee so wɔ subɔnhwa no mfimfini ma nnipa no nyinaa twaa mu. Wɔtwɛnee wɔ hɔ kɔsii sɛ obiara faa asase kesee so twaa Yordan.
