Joshua 19
1 And the second lot came out for the children of Symeon; and their inheritance was in the midst of the lots of the children of Juda.
Le deuxième sort sortit pour les enfants de Siméon, selon leur parenté, et l’héritage fut
2 And their lot was Beersabee, and Samaa, and Caladam,
Pour eux au milieu de la possession des fils de Juda: Bersabée, Sabée, Molada;
3 and Arsola, and Bola, and Jason,
Hasersual, Bala, Asem,
4 and Erthula, and Bula, and Herma,
Eltholad, Bétul, Harma,
5 and Sikelac, and Baethmachereb, and Sarsusin,
Sicéleg, Bethmarchaboth, Hasersusa,
6 and Batharoth, and their fields, thirteen cities, and their villages.
Béthlébaoth et Sarohen: treize villes et leurs villages;
7 Eremmon, and Thalcha, and Jether, and Asan; four cities and their villages,
Aïn, Remmon, Athar et Azan: quatre villes et leurs villages;
8 round about their cities as far as Balec as [men] go to Bameth southward: this [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon according to their families.
Toutes les bourgades autour de ces villes jusqu’à Baalath, Béer, Ramath contre la partie australe. Tel est l’héritage des enfants de Siméon, selon leur parenté,
9 The inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon [was a part] of the lot of Juda, for the portion of the children of Juda was greater than theirs; and the children of Symeon inherited in the midst of their lot.
Dans la possession et le partage des enfants de Juda, parce qu’il était trop grand pour eux: et c’est pour cela que les enfants de Siméon eurent leur possession au milieu de leur héritage.
10 And the third lot came out to Zabulon according to their families: the bounds of their inheritance shall be—Esedekgola shall be their border,
Le troisième sort échut aux enfants de Zabulon, selon leur parenté; et la frontière de leur possession s’étendait jusqu’à Sarid;
11 the sea and Magelda, and it shall reach to Baetharaba in the valley, which is opposite Jekman.
Elle monte de la mer et de Mérala, et elle parvient à Debbaseth, jusqu’au torrent qui est contre Jéconam;
12 And the border returned from Sedduc in a contrary direction eastward from Baethsamys, to the borders of Chaselothaith, and shall pass on to Dabiroth, and shall proceed upward to Phangai.
Elle retourne de Sared contre l’orient, aux confins de Césélethabor, s’avance près Dabéreth et monte contre Japhié;
13 And thence it shall come round in the opposite direction eastward to Gebere to the city of Catasem, and shall go on to Remmonaa Matharaoza.
De là, elle passe jusqu’à la partie orientale de Géthhépher et Thacasin, et s’avance vers Remmon, Amthar et Noa.
14 And the borders shall come round northward to Amoth, and their going out shall be at Gaephael,
De plus, elle fait, à l’aquilon, le tour d’Hanaton, et elle est terminée par la vallée de Jephtahel,
15 and Catanath, and Nabaal, and Symoon, and Jericho, and Baethman.
Par Cathed, Naalol, Séméron, Jédala et Bethléem; douze villes et leurs villages.
16 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Zabulon according to their families, [these] cities and their villages.
C’est là l’héritage de la tribu des enfants de Zabulon, selon leur parenté; ce sont leurs villes et leurs bourgades.
17 And the fourth lot came out to Issachar.
C’est pour Issachar, selon sa parenté, que sortit le quatrième sort;
18 And their borders were Jazel, and Chasaloth, and Sunam,
Et son héritage fut Jezraël, Casaloth, Sunem,
19 and Agin, and Siona, and Reeroth,
Hapharaïm, Séhon, Anaharat,
20 and Anachereth, and Dabiron, and Kison, and Rebes,
Rabboth, Césion, Abès.
21 and Remmas, and Jeon, and Tomman, and Aemarec, and Bersaphes.
Rameth, Engannim, Enhadda, et Bethphésès;
22 And the boundaries shall border upon Gaethbor, and upon Salim westward, and Baethsamys; and the extremity of his bounds shall be Jordan.
Et sa frontière parvient jusqu’à Thabor, Séhésima et Bethsamès; et se termine au Jourdain: seize villes et leurs villages.
23 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.
Telle est la possession des enfants d’Issachar, selon leur parenté; telles sont les villes et leurs bourgades.
24 And the fifth lot came out to Aser according to their families.
Le cinquième sort échut aux enfants d’Aser, selon leur parenté;
25 And their borders were Exeleketh, and Aleph, and Baethok, and Keaph,
Et leur frontière fut Halcath, Chali, Béthen, Axaph,
26 and Elimelech, and Amiel, and Maasa, and the lot will border on Carmel westward, and on Sion, and Labanath.
Elmélech, Amaad et Messal; et elle parvient jusqu’au Carmel de la mer, jusqu’à Sihor et Labanath;
27 And it will return westward from Baethegeneth, and will join Zabulon and Ekgai, and Phthaeel northwards, and the borders will come to Saphthaebaethme, and Inael, and will go on to Chobamasomel,
Et elle retourne contre l’orient à Bethdagon; elle passe jusqu’à Zabulon et à la vallée de Jephthael, contre l’aquilon, jusqu’à Bethémec et Néhiel. Elle s’avance, vers la gauche, vers Cabul,
28 and Elbon, and Raab, and Ememaon, and Canthan to great Sidon.
Abran, Rohob, Hamon et Cana, jusqu’à Sidon la grande;
29 And the borders shall turn back to Rama, and to the fountain of Masphassat, and the Tyrians; and the borders shall return to Jasiph, and their going forth shall be the sea, and Apoleb, and Echozob,
Puis elle retourne vers Horma, jusqu’à la ville très fortifiée de Tyr, et jusqu’à Hosa; et elle est terminée, à la mer, au territoire d’Achziba,
30 and Archob, and Aphec, and Raau.
Amma, Aphec et Rohob: vingt-deux cités et leurs villages.
31 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Aser according to their families, the cities and their villages.
Telle est la possession des enfants d’Aser, selon leur parenté; telles sont les villes et leurs bourgades.
32 And the sixth lot came out to Nephthali.
Aux enfants de Nephthali échut le sixième sort, selon leurs familles;
33 And their borders were Moolam, and Mola, and Besemiin, and Arme, and Naboc, and Jephthamai, as far as Dodam; and their goings out were Jordan.
Et leur frontière commence à Héleph et Elon, va à Saananim et à Adami, qui est la même que Néceb, et à Jebnaël jusqu’à Lécum, et s’avance jusqu’au Jourdain;
34 And the coasts will return westward by Athabor, and will go out thence to Jacana, and will border on Zabulon southward, and Aser will join [it] westward, and Jordan eastward.
Et la frontière retourne, contre l’occident, à Azanoth-Thabor, et de là s’avance vers Hucuca, et passe à Zabulon, contre le midi, à Aser, contre l’occident, et à Juda, vers le Jourdain, contre le levant.
35 And the walled cities of the Tyrians, Tyre, and Omathadaketh, and Kenereth,
Les villes très fortifiées sont Assédim, Ser, Emath, Reccath, Cénéreth,
36 and Armaith, and Areal, and Asor,
Edéma, Arama, Asor,
37 and Cades, and Assari, and the well of Asor;
Cédés, Edraï, Enhasor,
38 and Keroe, and Megalaarim, and Baetthame, and Thessamys.
Jéron, Magdalel, Horem, Bethanath et Bethsamès: dix-neuf villes et leurs villages.
39 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Nephthali.
Telle est la possession de la tribu des enfants de Nephthali, selon leur parenté; telles sont les villes et leurs bourgades.
40 And the seventh lot came out to Dan.
C’est pour la tribu des enfants de Dan, selon leurs familles, que sortit le septième sort;
41 And their borders were Sarath, and Asa, and the cities of Sammaus,
Et la frontière de sa possession fut Saraa, Esthaol et Hirsémès, c’est-à-dire, ville du soleil,
42 and Salamin, and Ammon, and Silatha,
Sélébin, Aïalon, Jéthéla,
43 and Elon, and Thamnatha, and Accaron;
Elon, Themna et Acron,
44 and Alcatha, and Begethon, and Gebeelan,
Elthécé, Gébbéhon et Balaath,
45 and Azor, and Banaebacat, and Gethremmon.
Jud, Bané, Barach, Gethremmon,
46 And westward of Hieracon the border [was] near to Joppa.
Méjarchon, et Arecon, avec la frontière qui regarde Joppé,
47 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan, according to their families, these [are] their cities and their villages: and the children of Dan did not drive out the Amorite who afflicted them in the mountain; and the Amorite would not suffer them to come down into the valley, but they forcibly took from them the border of their portion.
Et elle est terminée par cette limite. Mais les enfants de Dan montèrent et combattirent contre Lésem, la prirent, la frappèrent du tranchant du glaive, en prirent possession et habitèrent en elle, lui donnant le nom de Lésem-Dan, du nom de Dan leur père.
48 And the sons of Dan went and fought against Lachis, and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword; and they lived in it, and called the name of it Lasendan: and the Amorite continued to dwell in Edom and in Salamin: and the hand of Ephraim prevailed against them, and they became tribute to them.
Telle est la possession de la tribu des enfants de Dan, selon leur parenté; telles sont les villes et leurs bourgades.
49 And they proceeded to take possession of the land according to their borders, and the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Naue among them,
Or, lorsqu’il eut achevé de partager par le sort la terre à chacun, selon sa tribu, les enfants d’Israël donnèrent en possession à Josué, fils de Nun, au milieu d’eux,
50 by the command of God, and they gave him the city which he asked for, Thamnasarach, which is in the mount of Ephraim; and he built the city, and lived in it.
Selon le commandement du Seigneur, la ville qu’il avait demandée, Thamnath-Saraa, sur la montagne d’Ephraïm, et il bâtit la ville et il y habita.
51 These [are] the divisions which Eleazar the priest divided by lot, and Joshua the [son] of Naue, and the heads of families among the tribes of Israel, according to the lots, in Selo before the Lord by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony, and they went to take possession of the land.
Telles sont les possessions que partagèrent au sort Eléazar, le prêtre, Josué, fils de Nun, et les princes des familles et des tribus des enfants d’Israël, à Silo, devant le Seigneur, à la porte du tabernacle de témoignage. C’est ainsi qu’ils partagèrent la terre.
