Job 35
1 And Elius resumed and said,
Respondió Eliu, y dijo:
2 What is this that you think to be according to right? who are you that you have said, I am righteous before the Lord?
¿Te parece correcto decir, mi justicia es más que la de Dios,
3 I will answer you, and your three friends.
? Porque dijiste: ¿Qué me beneficia a mí y qué provecho tengo por no haber pecado?
4 Look up to the sky and see; and consider the clouds, how high [they are] above you.
Te responderé a ti y a tus amigos:
5 If you have sinned, what will you do?
Vuelvan sus ojos a los cielos, y entiendan que los cielos son más altos que ustedes.
6 and if too you have transgressed much, what can you perform?
Si has hecho mal, ¿eso no le afecta a Dios? y si tus pecados son grandes en número, ¿qué es para él?
7 And suppose you are righteous, what will you give him? or what shall he receive of your hand?
Si eres recto, ¿qué le das a él? ¿O qué toma él de tu mano?
8 Your ungodliness [may affect] a man who is like to you; or your righteousness a son of man.
Tu maldad puede tener un efecto en un hombre como tú, o tu justicia aprovechara un hijo de hombre.
9 They that are oppressed of a multitude will be ready to cry out; they will call for help because of the arm of many.
Por la abundancia de la violencia, los hombres claman en dolor; piden ayuda a causa del brazo de los poderosos.
10 But none said, Where is God that made me, who appoints the night-watches;
Pero nadie ha dicho: ¿Dónde está Dios mi Hacedor, que da canciones en la noche?
11 who makes me to differ from the four-footed beasts of the earth, and from the birds of the sky?
Quién nos da más conocimiento que las bestias de la tierra, y nos hace más sabios que las aves del cielo.
12 There they shall cry, and none shall listen, even because of the insolence of wicked men.
Allí están clamando por el orgullo de los malhechores, pero él no les responde.
13 For the Lord desires not to look on error, for he is the Almighty One.
Pero Dios no escuchará lo que es falso, ni la mirará el Omnipotente.
14 He beholds them that perform lawless deeds, and he will save me: and do you plead before him, if you can praise him, as it is [possible] even now.
Cuánto menos cuando dices que no lo ves; Esperalo, la causa está delante de él.
15 For he is not [now] regarding his wrath, nor has he noticed severely any trespass.
Y ahora que no ha visitado en su ira; ni se conoce con rigor.
16 Yet Job vainly opens his mouth, in ignorance he multiplies words.
Y la boca de Job está abierta de par en par para dar lo que es sin beneficio, aumentando las palabras sin conocimiento.
