Job 33
1 Howbeit hear, Job, my words, and listen to my speech.
“কিন্তু এখন, হে ইয়োব, আমার কথা শুনুন; আমি যা কিছু বলি, তাতে মনোযোগ দিন।
2 For behold, I have opened my mouth, and my tongue has spoken.
আমি আমার মুখ খুলতে যাচ্ছি; আমার কথা আমার জিভের ডগায় লেগে আছে।
3 My heart [shall be found] pure by [my] words; and the understanding of my lips shall meditate purity.
আমার কথা এক ন্যায়পরায়ণ অন্তর থেকে বেরিয়ে আসে; আমি যা জানি আমার ঠোঁট সততাপূর্বক তাই বলে।
4 The Divine Spirit is that which formed me, and the breath of the Almighty that which teaches me.
ঈশ্বরের আত্মা আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন; সর্বশক্তিমানের শ্বাস আমায় জীবন দান করেছে।
5 If you can, give me an answer: wait therefore; stand against me, and I [will stand] against you.
যদি পারেন তবে আমার কথার উত্তর দিন; উঠে দাঁড়ান ও আমার সামনে আপনার মামলার যুক্তি সাজান।
6 You are formed out of the clay as also I: we have been formed out of the same [substance].
ঈশ্বরের দৃষ্টিতে আপনি যেমন আমিও তেমনই; আমিও মাটির এক টুকরো।
7 My fear shall not terrify you, neither shall my hand be heavy upon you.
আমাকে ভয় করতে হবে না, বা আমার হাতও আপনার উপরে ভারী হবে না।
8 But you have said in mine ears, (I have heard the voice of your words; ) because you say, I am pure, not having sinned;
“কিন্তু আপনি আমার কানে কানে বলেছেন— সেকথা আমি শুনেছি—
9 I am blameless, for I have not transgressed.
‘আমি শুচিশুদ্ধ, আমি কোনও অন্যায় করিনি; আমি নির্মল ও পাপমুক্ত।
10 Yet he has discovered a charge against me, and he has reckoned me as an adversary.
তবুও ঈশ্বর আমার মধ্যে দোষ খুঁজে পেয়েছেন; তিনি আমাকে তাঁর শত্রু বলে গণ্য করেছেন।
11 And he has put my foot in the stocks, and has watched all my ways.
তিনি আমার পায়ে বেড়ি পড়িয়েছেন; তিনি আমার সব পথের উপরে সজাগ দৃষ্টি রাখেন।’
12 For how say you, I am righteous, yet he has not listened to me? for he that is above mortals is eternal.
“কিন্তু আমি আপনাকে বলছি, এ বিষয়ে আপনি নির্ভুল নন, যেহেতু ঈশ্বর যে কোনো নশ্বর মানুষের চেয়ে মহান।
13 But you say, Why has he not heard every word of my cause?
আপনি কেন তাঁর কাছে অভিযোগ জানাচ্ছেন যে তিনি কারোর কথার উত্তর দেন না?
14 For when the Lord speaks once, or a second time,
যেহেতু ঈশ্বর তো কথা বলেন—এখন একভাবে, তো তখন অন্যভাবে— যদিও কেউই তা হৃদয়ঙ্গম করে না।
15 [sending] a dream, or in the meditation of the night; (as when a dreadful alarm happens to fall upon men, in slumberings on the bed: )
স্বপ্নে, রাতে আসা দর্শনে, যখন মানুষ গভীর ঘুমে মগ্ন থাকে তাদের বিছানায় তন্দ্রাচ্ছন্ন হয়ে থাকে,
16 then opens he the understanding of men: he scares them with such fearful visions:
তখন হয়তো তিনি তাদের কানে কানে কথা বলেন ও সতর্কবার্তা দিয়ে তাদের আতঙ্কিত করে তোলেন,
17 to turn a man from unrighteousness, and he delivers his body from a fall.
যেন তিনি তাদের অন্যায়াচরণ থেকে ফিরিয়ে আনতে পারেন ও অহংকার থেকে তাদের দূরে সরিয়ে রাখতে পারেন,
18 He spares also his soul from death, and [suffers] him not to fall in war.
যেন খাত থেকে তাদের প্রাণ, তরোয়ালের আঘাত থেকে তাদের জীবন রক্ষা করতে পারেন।
19 And again, he chastens him with sickness on his bed, and the multitude of his bones is benumbed.
“অথবা কেউ হয়তো অস্থিতে অবিরত যন্ত্রণা নিয়ে বিছানায় ব্যথায় কাতরাতে কাতরাতে শাস্তি পায়,
20 And he shall not be able to take any food, though his soul shall desire meat;
তাদের কাছে খাবার বিরক্তিকর বলে মনে হয় ও তাদের প্রাণ সুস্বাদু আহারও ঘৃণা করে।
21 until his flesh shall be consumed, and he shall show his bones bare.
তাদের শরীর ক্ষয়ে গিয়ে অদৃশ্য হয়ে যায়, ও তাদের অস্থি, যা এক সময় অদৃশ্য ছিল, তা এখন বেরিয়ে পড়েছে।
22 His soul also draws near to death, and his life is in Hades.
তারা খাতের কাছে এগিয়ে যায়, ও তাদের জীবন মৃত্যুদূতদের নিকটবর্তী হয়।
23 Though there should be a thousand messengers of death, not one of them shall wound him: if he should purpose in his heart to turn to the Lord, and declare to man his fault, and show his folly;
তবুও যদি তাদের পাশে থেকে একথা বলার জন্য এক স্বর্গদূতকে, হাজার জনের মধ্যে থেকে একজন দূতকে পাঠানো হয়, যে কীভাবে ন্যায়পরায়ণ হওয়া যায়,
24 he will support him, that he should not perish, and will restore his body as [fresh] plaster upon a wall; and he will fill his bones with morrow.
ও তিনি সেই লোকটির প্রতি অনুগ্রহকারী হয়ে ঈশ্বরকে বলেন, ‘খাদে নেমে যাওয়ার হাত থেকে তাদের রেহাই দাও; আমি তাদের জন্য মুক্তিপণ খুঁজে পেয়েছি—
25 And he will make his flesh tender as that of a babe, and he will restore him among men in [his] full strength.
তাদের শরীর এক শিশুর মতো সতেজ হয়ে যাক; তারা তাদের যৌবনের দিনগুলিতে ফিরে যাক।’
26 And he shall pray to the Lord, and his prayer shall be accepted of him; he shall enter with a cheerful countenance, with a full expression [of praise]: for he will render to men [their] due.
তখন সেই লোকটি ঈশ্বরের কাছে প্রার্থনা করতে পারবে ও তাঁর অনুগ্রহ লাভ করবে, তারা ঈশ্বরের মুখদর্শন করবে ও আনন্দে চিৎকার করবে; তিনি তাদের আবার পূর্ণ মঙ্গলের দশায় ফিরিয়ে আনবেন।
27 Even then a man shall blame himself, saying, What kind of things have I done? and he has not punished me according to the full amount of my sins.
আর তারা অন্যদের কাছে গিয়ে বলবে, ‘আমি পাপ করেছি, আমি সত্য বিকৃত করেছি, কিন্তু আমার যা প্রাপ্য আমি তা পাইনি।
28 Deliver my soul, that it may not go to destruction, and my life shall see the light.
ঈশ্বর আমাকে খাদে যাওয়া থেকে রক্ষা করেছেন, ও আমি জীবনের আলো উপভোগ করার জন্য বেঁচে থাকব।’
29 Behold, all these things, the Mighty One works in a threefold manner with a man.
“ঈশ্বর একজন লোকের সঙ্গে এসব কিছু করেন— দু-বার, এমনকি তিনবারও করেন—
30 And he has delivered my soul from death, that my life may praise him in the light.
খাত থেকে তাদের ফিরিয়ে আনার জন্য, যেন তাদের উপরে জীবনের আলো উদ্ভাসিত হয়।
31 Listen, Job, and hear me: be silent, and I will speak.
“হে ইয়োব, মনোযোগ দিন, ও আমার কথা শুনুন; নীরব থাকুন, ও আমাকে বলতে দিন।
32 If you have words, answer me: speak, for I desire you to be justified.
আপনার যদি কিছু বলার থাকে, তবে আমাকে উত্তর দিন; কথা বলুন, কারণ আমি আপনাকে সমর্থন করতে চাই।
33 If not, do you hear me: be silent, and I will teach you.
কিন্তু যদি না থাকে, তবে আমার কথা শুনুন; নীরব থাকুন, ও আমি আপনাকে জ্ঞান শিক্ষা দেব।”
