Job 28
1 For there is a place for the silver, whence it comes, and a place for the gold, whence it is refined.
Sa pagkatinuod adunay mina alang sa salapi, Ug usa ka dapit alang sa bulawan nga ilang pagaulayon.
2 For iron comes out of the earth, and brass is hewn out like stone.
Ang puthaw pagakuhaon gikan sa yuta, Ug ang tumbaga pagatunawon gikan sa bato.
3 He has set a bound to darkness, and he searches out every limit: a stone [is] darkness, and the shadow of death.
Ang tawo magapahunong sa kangitngit, Ug didto sa kahiladman magapangita, Sa mga bato nga atua sa mangitngit ug landong sa kamatayon.
4 There is a cutting off the torrent by reason of dust: so they that forget the right way are weakened; they are removed from [among] men.
Halayo sa pinuy-anan sa mga tawo siya magabugwal sa usa ka gahong; Sila hingkalimtan sa tiil nga moagi sa ibabaw, Sila nanagbitay halayo sa mga katawohan, sila nanagtabyog.
5 [As for] the earth, out of it shall come bread: under it has been turned up as it were fire.
Mahitungod sa yuta, gikan niana magagula ang tinapay; Ug ang ilalum niana ingon ug gibali pinaagi sa kalayo.
6 Her stones are the place of the sapphire: and [her] dust [supplies] man with gold.
Ang mga bato niini maoy dapit sa mga zafiro, Ug kana may mga pulvos sa bulawan.
7 [There is] a path, the fowl has not known it, neither has the eye of the vulture seen it:
Nianang dalana walay langgam nga dumadagit nga nagpanghibalo, Ni makakita niana ang mata sa ananangkil:
8 neither have the sons of the proud trodden it, a lion has not passed upon it.
Ang mga mananap nga palabilabihon wala makatala niana, Ni makaagi dinha ang mabangis nga leon.
9 He has stretched forth his hand on the sharp [rock], and turned up mountains by the roots:
Gibutang niya ang iyang kamot sa ibabaw sa batong santikan; Gilintuwad niya ang mga bukid hangtud sa mga gamut.
10 and he has interrupted the whirlpools of rivers, and mine eye has seen every precious thing.
Siya nagahimo ug mga kanal sa taliwala sa mga bato; Ug ang iyang mata makakita sa tanang butang bililhon.
11 And he has laid bare the depths of rivers, and has brought his power to light.
Siya magabugkos sa mga kasapaan aron dili na manaligdig; Ug ang butang nga tinago, iyang gibutyag sa kahayag.
12 But whence has wisdom been discovered? and what is the place of knowledge?
Apan asa ba ang kaalam igkita? Ug hain ba ang pinuy-anan sa salabutan?
13 A mortal has not known its way, neither indeed has it been discovered among men.
Ang tawo wala masayud sa bili niana; Ni igkita kini sa yuta sa mga buhi.
14 The depth said, It is not in me: and the sea said, It is not with me.
Ang kahiladman nagaingon: Kini wala diri kanako; Ug ang dagat nagaingon: Kana wala diri kanako.
15 One shall not give fine gold instead of it, neither shall silver be weighed in exchange for it.
Kana dili mabatonan tungod sa bulawan, Ni ang salapi pagatimbangon tungod sa bili niini.
16 Neither shall it be compared with gold of Sophir, with the precious onyx and sapphire.
Kini dili kabilhan sa bulawan sa Ophir, Sa malahalon nga onyx, kun sa zafiro.
17 Gold and crystal shall not be equalled to it, neither shall vessels of gold be its exchange.
Ang bulawan ug bildo dili ikatanding niini, Ni kabayloan kini ug mga lunsay nga bulawan.
18 Coral and fine pearl shall not be mentioned: but do you esteem wisdom above the most precious things.
Ang guso ug ang salamin dili pagahisgutan: Oo, ang bili sa kaalam labaw pa kay sa mga mutya.
19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not be equalled to it; it shall not be compared with pure gold.
Ang topacio sa Ethiopia dili ikagtanding niini, Ni kabilhan kini sa bulawang lunsay.
20 Whence then is wisdom found? and of what kind is the place of understanding?
Diin man diay magagikan ang kaalam? Ug hain man ang dapit sa salabutan?
21 It has escaped the notice of every man, and has been hidden from the birds of the sky.
Sanglit tinago man gikan sa mga mata sa mga buhi, Ug sinalipdan gikan sa kalanggaman sa kalangitan.
22 Destruction and Death said, We have heard the report of it.
Ang Kagun-oban ug Kamatayon nanag-ingon: Ang kagahub niana nabatian namo sa among mga igdulungog.
23 God has well ordered the way of it, and he knows the place of it.
Ang Dios nasayud sa dalan niini, Ug siya nahibalo sa dapit niana.
24 For he surveys the whole [earth] under heaven, knowing the things in the earth:
Kay siya nagatan-aw ngadto sa mga kinatumyan sa yuta, Ug nagasud-ong sa ilalum sa tibook langit;
25 all that he has made; the weight of the winds, the measures of the water.
Sa iyang pagtimbang sa hangin: Oo, sa taksanan ang katubigan iyang gitakus.
26 When he made [them], thus he saw and numbered them, and made a way for the pealing of the thunder.
Sa diha nga siya nagbuhat ug balaod sa ulan, Ug alagianan alang sa kilat sa dalugdug;
27 Then he saw it, and declared it: he prepared it [and] traced it out.
Unya siya nakakita niini, ug nagsaysay niini; Iyang gipahaluna kini, oo, ug kini gipangita.
28 And he said to man, Behold, godliness is wisdom: and to abstain from evil is understanding.
Ug miingon siya sa tawo: Ania karon, ang kahadlok sa Ginoo, nga mao ang kaalam; Ug ang paglikay sa dautan mao ang salabutan.
