< Job 26 >
1 But Job answered and said,
Ningĩ Ayubu agĩcookia atĩrĩ:
2 To whom do you attach yourself, or whom are you going to assist? is it not he that [has] much strength, and [he] who has a strong arm?
“Kaĩ ũrĩ gũteithia ũrĩa ũtarĩ na ũhoti-ĩ! Kaĩ ũrĩ kũhonokia guoko kũrĩa gũtarĩ na hinya-ĩ!
3 To whom have you given counsel? is it not to him who has all wisdom? whom will you follow? is it not one who has the greatest power?
Kaĩ ũrĩ gũtaara mũndũ ũtarĩ na ũũgĩ-ĩ! Na atĩrĩ, kaĩ nĩwonanĩtie ũmenyo mũnene-ĩ!
4 To whom have you uttered words? and whose breath is it that has come forth from you?
Nũũ wagũteithia kwaria ciugo icio? Na nĩ roho waũ waria na kanua gaku?
5 Shall giants be born from under the water and the inhabitants thereof?
“Arĩa akuũ marĩ na ruo rũnene, o acio marĩ rungu rwa maaĩ na kĩrĩa gĩothe gĩtũũraga kuo.
6 Hell is naked before him, and destruction has no covering. (Sheol )
Gĩkuũ nĩkĩguũranie mbere ya Ngai; mwanangĩko ũikarĩte ũtarĩ mũhumbĩre. (Sheol )
7 He stretches out the north wind upon nothing, and he upon nothing hangs the earth;
Atambũrũkagia matu ma mwena wa gathigathini igũrũ rĩa kũndũ gũtarĩ kĩndũ; nayo thĩ ndarĩ kĩndũ amĩcunjurĩtie nakĩo.
8 binding water in his clouds, and the cloud is not tore under it.
Athayaga maaĩ thĩinĩ wa matu make, no matu macio matingĩtembũrwo nĩ ũritũ wamo.
9 He keeps back the face of his throne, stretching out his cloud upon it.
Ahumbagĩra ũthiũ wa mweri rĩrĩa waiganana, agatambũrũkia matu make igũrũ rĩaguo.
10 He has encompassed the face of the water by an appointed ordinance, until the end of light and darkness.
Nĩekĩrĩte rũkiriri igũrũ rĩa maaĩ, rũkahakania ũtheri na nduma.
11 The pillars of heaven are prostrate and astonished at his rebuke.
Itugĩ iria itiirĩrĩire igũrũ nĩ ithingithaga, ikagegearaga nĩ ũndũ wa ikũũmana rĩake.
12 He has calmed the sea with [his] might, and by [his] wisdom the whale has been overthrown.
Nĩoirugire maaĩ ma iria na ũndũ wa hinya wake; na nĩ ũndũ wa ũũgĩ wake nĩatinaangirie Rahabu tũcunjĩ.
13 And the barriers of heaven fear him, and by a command he has slain the apostate dragon.
Mĩhũmũ yake nĩyo yathakaririe igũrũ; guoko gwake nĩ gwatheecire nyoka ĩrĩa ĩnyororokaga na ihenya.
14 Behold, these are parts of his way; and we will listen to him at the least intimation of his word: but the strength of his thunder who knows, when he shall employ [it]?
Atĩrĩrĩ, ĩno no mĩthia ya mawĩra make; kaĩ no kamũheehũ kanini tũiguaga ka ũhoro wake-ĩ! Nũũ ũngĩgĩtaũkĩrwo nĩ marurumĩ ma ũhoti wake?”
