Job 25

1 Then Baldad the Sauchite answered and said,

அப்பொழுது சூகியனான பில்தாத் மறுமொழியாக சொன்னதாவது:

2 What beginning or fear is his—even he that makes all things in the highest?

“ஆளுகையும், பிரமிக்கத்தக்க பயமும் இறைவனுக்கே உரியது; அவரே பரலோகத்தின் உயரங்களில் சமாதானத்தை நிலைநாட்டுகிறவர்.

3 For let none think that there is a respite for robbers: and upon whom will there not come a snare from him?

அவருடைய படைவீரர்களை எண்ணமுடியுமோ? அவருடைய ஒளி யார்மேல் உதிக்காமல் இருக்கிறது?

4 For how shall a mortal be just before the Lord? or who that is born of a woman shall purify himself?

அப்படியிருக்க ஒரு மனிதன் இறைவனுக்கு முன்பாக நேர்மையானவனாக நிற்பதெப்படி? பெண்ணிடத்தில் பிறந்தவன் தூய்மையாய் இருப்பதெப்படி?

5 If he gives an order to the moon, then it shines not; and the stars are not pure before him.

அவருடைய பார்வையில் சந்திரன் பிரகாசம் இல்லாமலும், நட்சத்திரங்கள் தூய்மையற்றதாயும் இருக்கும்போது,

6 But alas! man is corruption, and the son of man a worm.

பூச்சியாயிருக்கும் மனிதனும், புழுவாயிருக்கும் மனுமகனும் எவ்வளவு அற்பமானவர்கள்!”
