< Job 12 >
1 And Job answered and said,
Ket simmungbat ni Job ket kinunana,
2 So then you [alone] are men, and wisdom shall die with you?
“Awan duadua a dakayo dagiti tattao; matayto ti kinasirib a kaduayo.
3 [But] I also have a heart as well as you.
Ngem addaanak iti pannakaawat a kas kadakayo; saanak a nababbaba ngem kadakayo. Wen, siasino ti saan a makaammo kadagiti banbanag a kas kadagitoy?
4 For a righteous and blameless man has become a subject for mockery.
Maysaak a pagkakatawaan dagiti kaarrubak—siak, nga immawag iti Dios ken sinungbatanna! Siak, a nalinteg ken awan ti pakababalawanna a tao—maysaak itan a pagkakatawaan.
5 For it had been ordained that he should fall under others at the appointed time, and that his houses should be spoiled by transgressors: let not however any one trust that, being evil, he shall be [held] guiltless,
Iti panunot ti tao a nanam-ay ket adda iti panangumsi para iti kinadaksanggasat; agpanpanunot isuna iti wagas a mangyeg pay iti ad-adu a kinadaksanggasat kadagiti maikagkaglis ti sakana.
6 even as many as provoke the Lord, as if there were indeed to be no inquisition [made] of them.
Rumang-ay dagiti tolda dagiti agtatakaw, ket natalged dagiti mangpapaunget iti Dios; dagiti bukodda nga ima dagiti diosda.
7 But ask now the beasts, if they may speak to you; and the birds of the air, if they may declare to you.
Ngem ita damagem dagiti narungsot nga ayup, ket suroandaka; damagem dagiti billit kadagiti tangatang, ket ibagada kenka.
8 Tell the earth, if it may speak to you: and the fishes of the sea shall explain to you.
Wenno agsaoka iti daga, ket suroannaka daytoy; ibaganto kenka dagiti lames ti baybay.
9 Who then has not known in all these things, that the hand of the Lord has made them?
Ania kadagitoy amin nga ayup ti saan a makaammo nga inaramid dagiti ima ti Dios daytoy—inikkanna ida iti biag—
10 Whereas the life of all living things is in his hand, and the breath of every man.
O Yahweh, siasino ti makin-iggem iti biag dagiti tunggal agbibiag a banag ken ti anges ti amin a sangkataoan?
11 For the ear tries words, and the palate tastes meats.
Saan kadi a suboken ti lapayag dagiti sasao a kas iti panangraman ti dawat-dawat iti kanenna?
12 In length of time is wisdom, and in long life knowledge.
Ti adda iti nataengan a tao ket kinasirib; iti kinaatiddog dagiti aldaw ket pannakaawat.
13 With him are wisdom and power, with him counsel and understanding.
Adda iti Dios ti kinasirib ken bileg; addaan isuna iti nasayaat a kapanunotan ken pannakaawat.
14 If he should cast down, who will build up? if he should shut up against man, who shall open?
Kitaenyo, mangrebba isuna, ket saanen a maibangon manen; no ibaludna ti maysa a tao, awanen ti pannakawayawaya.
15 If he should withhold the water, he will dry the earth: and if he should let it loose, he overthrows and destroys it.
Kitaenyo, no pasardengenna dagiti danum, maattianan dagitoy; ket no burwanganna dagitoy, dadaelenda ti daga.
16 With him are strength and power: he has knowledge and understanding.
Adda kenkuana ti pigsa ken kinasirib; agpada nga adda iti pannakabalinna dagiti tattao a naallilaw ken dagiti manangallilaw.
17 He leads counselors away captive, and maddens the judges of the earth.
Idalanna a sakasaka iti liday dagiti mammagbaga; pagbalinenna a maag dagiti ukom.
18 He seats kings upon thrones, and girds their loins with a girdle.
Ikkatenna dagiti kawar ti turay manipud kadagiti ari; barikesenna ida iti lupot.
19 He sends away priests into captivity, and overthrows the mighty ones of the earth.
Iyadayona dagiti papadi a sakasaka iti liday ken parmekenna dagiti nabileg a tattao.
20 He changes the lips of the trusty, and he knows the understanding of the elders.
Ikkatenna dagiti sasao dagiti tattao a mapagtalkan ken ikkatenna dagiti pannakaawat dagiti panglakayen.
21 He pours dishonor upon princes, and heals the lowly.
Ibukbukbukna ti pananglais kadagiti prinsipe ken ikkatenna dagiti barikes dagiti napipigsa a tattao.
22 Revealing deep things out of darkness: and he has brought into light the shadow of death.
Ipakpakitana dagiti nauuneg a banbanag manipud iti kasipngetan ken iruarna iti lawag dagiti aniniwan nga ayan dagiti natay a tattao.
23 Causing the nations to wander, and destroying them: overthrowing the nations, and leading them [away].
Pappapigsaenna dagiti nasion, ket daddaelenna met dagitoy; palawaenna dagiti nasion, ket idalanna met ida a kas balud.
24 Perplexing the minds of the princes of the earth: and he causes them to wander in a way, they have not known, [saying],
Ik-ikkatenna ti pannakaawat manipud kadagiti panguloen dagiti tattao iti daga; pagalla-allaenna ida idiay let-ang nga awan ti dalan.
25 Let them grope [in] darkness, and [let there be] no light, and let them wander as a drunken man.
Agarikapda iti kasipngetan nga awan ti lawag; pagdiwer-diwerenna ida a kasla nabartek a tao.
