< Job 12 >
1 And Job answered and said,
Pamenepo Yobu anayankha kuti,
2 So then you [alone] are men, and wisdom shall die with you?
“Ndithudi inuyo ndinu anthu ndipo nzeru zanu zidzafera nanu pamodzi!
3 [But] I also have a heart as well as you.
Koma inenso ndili nazo nzeru ngati inu; ineyo sindine munthu wamba kwa inu. Ndani amene sadziwa zonse zimene mwanenazi?
4 For a righteous and blameless man has become a subject for mockery.
“Ndasanduka chinthu choseketsa kwa abwenzi anga, ngakhale ndinkapemphera kwa Mulungu ndipo Iye ankandiyankha. Ine ndasanduka chinthu chongoseketsa, ngakhale ndili wolungama ndi wosalakwa!
5 For it had been ordained that he should fall under others at the appointed time, and that his houses should be spoiled by transgressors: let not however any one trust that, being evil, he shall be [held] guiltless,
Anthu amene ali pabwino amanyoza anzawo amene ali pa tsoka. Tsokalo limagwa pa amene wayamba kale kugwa.
6 even as many as provoke the Lord, as if there were indeed to be no inquisition [made] of them.
Nyumba za anthu achifwamba zimakhala pa mtendere, ndipo anthu amene amaputa Mulungu amakhala pabwino, amene amanyamula milungu yawo mʼmanja.
7 But ask now the beasts, if they may speak to you; and the birds of the air, if they may declare to you.
“Koma funsa nyama zakuthengo ndipo zidzakuphunzitsa, kapena mbalame zamumlengalenga ndipo zidzakuwuza;
8 Tell the earth, if it may speak to you: and the fishes of the sea shall explain to you.
kapena uyankhule ndi dziko lapansi ndipo lidzakuphunzitsa, kapena ulole nsomba zamʼnyanja kuti zikufotokozere.
9 Who then has not known in all these things, that the hand of the Lord has made them?
Kodi mwa zonsezi ndi chiti chimene sichidziwa kuti lachita zimenezi ndi dzanja la Yehova?
10 Whereas the life of all living things is in his hand, and the breath of every man.
Mʼmanja mwake ndi mʼmene muli moyo wa cholengedwa chilichonse, ndiponso moyo wa anthu a mitundu yonse.
11 For the ear tries words, and the palate tastes meats.
Kodi khutu sindiye limene limamva mawu monga mmene lilime limalawira chakudya?
12 In length of time is wisdom, and in long life knowledge.
Kodi nzeru sipezeka pakati pa anthu okalamba? Kodi moyo wautali sumabweretsa nzeru zomvetsa zinthu?
13 With him are wisdom and power, with him counsel and understanding.
“Kwa Mulungu ndiye kuli nzeru ndi mphamvu; uphungu ndi kumvetsa zinthu ndi zake.
14 If he should cast down, who will build up? if he should shut up against man, who shall open?
Chimene Iye wapasula palibe angachimangenso. Akatsekera munthu mʼndende palibe angamutulutse.
15 If he should withhold the water, he will dry the earth: and if he should let it loose, he overthrows and destroys it.
Iyeyo akamanga mvula dziko limawuma; akamasula mvulayo, madzi amasefukira pa dziko.
16 With him are strength and power: he has knowledge and understanding.
Kwa Iye kuli mphamvu ndi kupambana; munthu wopusitsidwa ndiponso wopusitsa onse ali mu ulamuliro wake.
17 He leads counselors away captive, and maddens the judges of the earth.
Iye amalanda aphungu nzeru zawo ndipo amapusitsa oweruza.
18 He seats kings upon thrones, and girds their loins with a girdle.
Iye amachotsa zingwe zimene mafumu anawamanga nazo ndipo amawamanga lamba mʼchiwuno mwawo.
19 He sends away priests into captivity, and overthrows the mighty ones of the earth.
Iye amasocheretsa ansembe atawalanda nzeru zawo ndipo amagonjetsa anthu amphamvu amene ndi okhazikika.
20 He changes the lips of the trusty, and he knows the understanding of the elders.
Iye amakhalitsa chete aphungu odalirika ndipo amalanda chidziwitso cha anthu akuluakulu.
21 He pours dishonor upon princes, and heals the lowly.
Iye amanyoza anthu otchuka ndipo anthu anyonga amawatha mphamvu.
22 Revealing deep things out of darkness: and he has brought into light the shadow of death.
Iye amatulutsira poyera zinthu zozama za mu mdima ndipo mdima wandiweyaniwo amawusandutsa kuwala.
23 Causing the nations to wander, and destroying them: overthrowing the nations, and leading them [away].
Iye amakuza mitundu ya anthu ndipo amayiwononganso; amachulukitsa mitundu ya anthu ndipo amayimwazanso.
24 Perplexing the minds of the princes of the earth: and he causes them to wander in a way, they have not known, [saying],
Iye amalanda nzeru za atsogoleri a dziko lapansi; amawayendetsa mʼthengo mopanda njira.
25 Let them grope [in] darkness, and [let there be] no light, and let them wander as a drunken man.
Iwo amafufuzafufuza njira mu mdima wopanda chowunikira; Iye amawayendetsa dzandidzandi ngati oledzera.
