Job 11
1 Then Sophar the Minaean answered and said,
Sô-pha, người Na-a-ma đáp lời Gióp:
2 He that speaks much, should also hear on the other side: or does the fluent speaker think himself to be righteous? blessed [is] the short lived offspring of woman.
“Phải chăng những lời này không ai dám đối đáp? Phải chăng người lắm lời này có lý?
3 Be not a speaker of many words; for is there none to answer you?
Tôi có thể giữ im lặng trong khi anh khoa trương sao? Khi anh chế nhạo Đức Chúa Trời, không ai dám quở anh sao?
4 For say not, I am pure in my works, and blameless before him.
Anh nói: ‘Niềm tin của con hoàn hảo,’ và ‘Con trong sạch trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời.’
5 But oh that the Lord would speak to you, and open his lips to you!
Nếu Đức Chúa Trời phán dạy; nếu Chúa nói với anh điều Ngài nghĩ suy!
6 Then shall he declare to you the power of wisdom; for it shall be double of that which is with you: and then shall you know, that a just recompence of your sins has come to you from the Lord.
Nếu Chúa tỏ anh biết bí mật của sự khôn ngoan, vì sự khôn ngoan thật không phải là chuyện đơn giản. Hãy nhớ! Vì độ lượng nhân từ, tội anh nặng, Đức Chúa Trời đã hình phạt nhẹ.
7 Will you find out the traces of the Lord? or have you come to the end [of that] which the Almighty has made?
Làm sao anh có thể hiểu thấu sự huyền nhiệm của Đức Chúa Trời? Và khám phá giới hạn của Đấng Toàn Năng?
8 Heaven [is] high; and what will you do? and there are deeper things than those in hell; what do you know? (Sheol h7585)
Sự hiểu biết ấy cao hơn các tầng trời— anh nghĩ anh là ai? Những điều ấy sâu hơn âm phủ— anh biết được gì? (Sheol h7585)
9 Or longer than the measure of the earth, or the breadth of the sea.
Những điều ấy dài rộng hơn mặt đất, và mênh mông hơn đại dương.
10 And if he should overthrow all things, who will say to him, What have you done?
Nếu Đức Chúa Trời đến và bắt người ta cầm tù hay lập tòa xét xử, ai có thể cản ngăn Ngài?
11 For he knows the works of transgressors; and when he sees wickedness, he will not overlook [it].
Vì Chúa biết những người giả dối, Ngài ghi xuống tất cả tội lỗi chúng.
12 But man vainly buoys himself up with words; and a mortal born of woman [is] like an ass in the desert.
Chừng nào lừa hoang sinh ra con là người, Thì kẻ u mê mới nên thông sáng.
13 For if you have made your heart pure, and lift up [your] hands towards him;
Nếu anh dọn lòng trong sạch và đưa tay hướng về Chúa kêu cầu!
14 if there is any iniquity in your hands, put if far from you, and let not unrighteousness lodge in your habitation.
Nếu anh lìa xa tội lỗi, không chứa chấp gian tham.
15 For thus shall your countenance shine again, as pure water; and you shall dive yourself of uncleanness, and shall not fear.
Anh sẽ ngẩng mặt lên, không hổ thẹn. Sống vững vàng, không sợ hãi lo âu.
16 And you shall forget trouble, as a wave that has passed by; and you shall not be scared.
Anh sẽ quên đi thời khổ nạn; như dòng nước đã chảy xa.
17 And your prayer [shall be] as the morning star, and life shall arise to you [as] from the noonday.
Đời anh sẽ rực rỡ như ban ngày. Ngay cả tăm tối cũng sẽ sáng như bình minh.
18 And you shall be confident, because you have hope; and peace shall dawn to you from out of anxiety and care.
Anh sẽ tin tưởng và hy vọng. Sống thảnh thơi và ngơi nghỉ an bình.
19 For you shall be at ease, and there shall be no one to fight against you; and many shall charge, and make supplication to you.
Anh sẽ nằm yên không kinh hãi, và nhiều người đến xin anh giúp đỡ.
20 But safety shall fail them; for their hope is destruction, and the eyes of the ungodly shall waste away.
Nhưng người ác sẽ bị mù lòa. Chúng sẽ không thấy lối thoát thân. Chỉ hy vọng thử hơi cuối cùng.”
