Jeremias 6
1 Strengthen yourselves, you children of Benjamin, [to flee] out of the midst of Jerusalem, and sound an alarm with the trumpet in Thecue, and set up a signal over Baethacharma: for evil threatens from the north, and a great destruction is coming.
௧பென்யமீன் வம்சத்தாரே, நீங்கள் எருசலேமின் நடுவிலிருந்து ஒன்றாய்க்கூடி ஓடி, தெக்கோவாவில் எக்காளம் ஊதி, பெத்கேரேமின்மேல் அடையாளமாகத் தீவெளிச்சம் காட்டுங்கள்; ஒரு தீங்கும் மகா அழிவும் வடக்கேயிருந்து தோன்றுகிறதாயிருக்கிறது.
2 And [your] pride, O daughter of Sion, shall be taken away.
௨செல்வமாய் வளர்ந்த அழகுள்ள மகளாகிய சீயோனை அழிப்பேன்.
3 The shepherds and their flocks shall come to her; and they shall pitch [their] tents against her round about, and shall feed [their flocks] each with his hand.
௩மேய்ப்பர் தங்கள் மந்தைகளுடன் அவளிடத்திற்கு வருவார்கள்; அவர்கள் அவளுக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சுற்றிலும் கூடாரம்போட்டு, அவனவன் தன் தன் இடத்தில் மேய்த்து,
4 Prepare yourselves for war against her; rise up, and let us go up against her at noon. Woe to us! for the day has gone down, for the shadows of the day fail.
௪அவளுக்கு விரோதமாய் போர்செய்ய ஆயத்தம்செய்யுங்கள் என்றும், மத்தியானத்தில்தானே நாம் போய்ச்சேருவதற்கு எழுந்திருங்கள்; ஐயோ, பொழுது சாய்ந்து, மாலைநேர நிழல்கள் நீண்டுபோகிறதே;
5 Rise, and let us go up against her by night, and destroy her foundations.
௫எழுந்திருங்கள், நாம் இரவுநேரத்திலாவது போய்ச்சேர்ந்து, அவளுடைய அரண்மனைகளை அழிப்போம் என்றும் சொல்லுவார்கள்.
6 For thus says the Lord, Hew down her trees, array a numerous force against Jerusalem. O false city; [there is] all oppression in her.
௬சேனைகளுடைய யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், மரங்களை வெட்டி, எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கோட்டைமதில் போடுங்கள்; அதுவே விசாரிக்கப்படவேண்டிய நகரம்; அதின் உட்புறமெல்லாம் கொடுமை.
7 As a cistern cools water, so her wickedness cools her, ungodliness and misery shall be heard in her, [as] continually before her.
௭ஊற்றானது, தன் தண்ணீரைச் சுரக்கச்செய்வதைப்போல, அது தன் தீங்கைச் சுரக்கச்செய்கிறது; அதில் கொடுமையும் தீமையான காரியங்களும் கேட்கப்படுகிறது; துக்கமும் காயங்களும் எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாகக் காணப்படுகிறது.
8 You shall be chastened, O Jerusalem, with pain and the scourge, lest my soul depart from you; lest I make you a desert land, which shall not be inhabited.
௮எருசலேமே, என் ஆத்துமா உன்னை விட்டுப் பிரியாமலிருக்கவும், நான் உன்னைப் பாழும் குடியில்லாத தேசமும் ஆக்காமலிருக்கவும் புத்தியைக்கேள்.
9 For thus says the Lord, Glean, glean thoroughly as a vine the remnant of Israel: turn back [your hands] as a grape-gatherer to his basket.
௯திராட்சைக்குலைகளை அறுக்கிறவனைப்போல உன் கையைத் திரும்பக் கூடைகளின்மேல் போடென்று சொல்லி, அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலின் மீதியாயிருந்த பழத்தைத் திராட்சைச்செடியின் பழத்தைப்போல் நன்றாய்ப் பொறுக்கிக்கொண்டு போவார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
10 To whom shall I speak, and testify, that he may listen? behold, your ears are uncircumcised, and they shall not be able to hear: behold, the word of the Lord is become to them a reproach, they will not at all desire it.
௧0அவர்கள் கேட்கும்படி நான் யாருடன் பேசி எச்சரிப்பேன்? அவர்களுடைய காது விருத்தசேதனமில்லாதது; அவர்கள் கேட்கமாட்டார்கள்; யெகோவாவுடைய வசனம் அவர்களுக்கு நிந்தையாயிருக்கிறது; அதின்மேல் அவர்களுக்கு விருப்பமில்லை.
11 And I allowed my wrath to come to full, yet I kept [it] in, and did not utterly destroy them: I will pour it out on the children without, and on the assembly of young men together: for man and woman shall be taken together, the old man with him that is full of days.
௧௧ஆகையால் நான் யெகோவாவுடைய கடுங்கோபத்தால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறேன்; அதை அடக்கி இளைத்துப்போனேன்; வீதிகளிலுள்ள பிள்ளைகளின்மேலும், வாலிபருடைய கூட்டத்தின்மேலெங்கும் அதை ஊற்றிவிடுவேன்; ஆண்களும், பெண்களும், முதியவர்களும், மிக வயதானவர்களுங்கூடப் பிடிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
12 And their houses shall be turned to others, [with] their fields and their wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of this land, says the Lord.
௧௨அவர்களுடைய வீடுகளும், சொந்தநிலங்களும், அவர்களுடைய மனைவிகளுடன் ஏகமாக அந்நியர் வசமாகும்; என் கையை இந்தத் தேசத்தின் குடிமக்களுக்கு விரோதமாக நீட்டுவேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
13 For from the least of them even to the greatest they have all committed iniquity; from the priest even to the false prophet they have all wrought falsely.
௧௩அவர்களில், சிறியோர்முதல் பெரியோர்வரை, ஒவ்வொருவரும் பொருளாசைக்காரர்; இதுவுமல்லாமல் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள்முதல் ஆசாரியர்கள்வரை ஒவ்வொருவரும் பொய்யர்.
14 And they healed the breach of my people [imperfectly], making light [of it], and saying, Peace, peace, and where is peace?
௧௪சமாதானமில்லாமலிருந்தும்: சமாதானம் சமாதானம் என்று சொல்லி, என் மக்களின் காயங்களை மேலோட்டமாகக் குணமாக்குகிறார்கள்.
15 They were ashamed because they failed; yet they were not ashamed as those who are [truly] ashamed, and they knew not their own disgrace: therefore shall they [utterly] fall when they do fall, and in the time of visitation shall they perish, said the Lord.
௧௫அவர்கள் அருவருப்பானதைச் செய்ததினிமித்தம் வெட்கப்படுகிறார்களோ? ஆனாலும் வெட்கப்படமாட்டார்கள், வெட்கப்படவும் அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியாது; ஆதலால் விழுகிறவர்களுக்குள்ளே விழுவார்கள்; நான் அவர்களை விசாரிக்குங்காலத்தில் இடறுண்டுபோவார்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
16 Thus says the Lord, Stand you in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths of the Lord; and see what is the good way, and walk in it, and you shall find purification for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [in them].
௧௬வழிகளில் நின்று, முன்னோர்களின் பாதைகள் எவையென்று கேட்டு விசாரித்து, நல்ல வழி எங்கே என்று பார்த்து, அதில் செல்லுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது உங்கள் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் கிடைக்கும் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; அவர்களோ, நாங்கள் அதில் நடக்கமாட்டோம் என்கிறார்கள்.
17 I have set watchmen over you, [saying], Hear you the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hear [it].
௧௭நான் உங்கள்மேல் காவலாளரையும் வைத்து, எக்காள சத்தத்திற்கு செவிகொடுங்கள் என்றும் சொன்னேன்; அவர்களோ: நாங்கள் கேட்கமாட்டோம் என்கிறார்கள்.
18 Therefore have the nations heard, and they that feed their flocks.
௧௮ஆகையால் தேசங்களே, கேளுங்கள்; சபையே, அவர்களுக்குள் நடக்கிறதை அறிந்துகொள்.
19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evils upon this people, [even] the fruit of their rebellions; for they have not heeded my words, and they have rejected my law.
௧௯பூமியே, கேள்; இந்த மக்கள் என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்காமலிருந்து, என் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கேட்காமல் அதை வெறுத்துவிடுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள்மேல் நான் அவர்கள் நினைவுகளின் பலனாகிய தீங்கை வரச்செய்வேன்.
20 Therefore do you bring me frankincense from Saba, and cinnamon from a land afar off? your whole burnt offerings are not acceptable, and your sacrifices have not been pleasant to me.
௨0சேபாவிலிருந்து வருகிற தூபவர்க்கமும், தூரதேசத்தினுடைய சுகந்தப்பட்டையும் எனக்கு எதற்கு? உங்கள் சர்வாங்கதகனங்கள் எனக்கு விருப்பமல்ல; உங்கள் பலிகள் எனக்கு இன்பமாயிராது.
21 Therefore thus says the Lord, Behold, I [will] bring weakness upon this people, and the fathers and sons shall be weak together; the neighbor and his friend shall perish.
௨௧ஆகையால் இதோ, நான் இந்த மக்களுக்கு இடறல்களை வைப்பேன்; அவைகள்மேல் தகப்பன்களும், பிள்ளைகளும், நண்பர்களும், அண்டைவீட்டுக்காரனும், ஏகமாக இடறுண்டு அழிவார்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
22 Thus says the Lord, Behold, a people comes from the north, and nations shall be stirred up from the end of the earth.
௨௨இதோ, வடதேசத்திலிருந்து ஒரு மக்கள்கூட்டம் வந்து, பூமியின் கடைசி எல்லைகளிலிருந்து ஒரு பெரிய தேசம் எழும்பும்.
23 They shall lay hold on bow and spear; [the people] is fierce, and will have no mercy; their voice is as the roaring sea; they shall array themselves for war against you as fire on horses and chariots, O daughter of Sion.
௨௩அவர்கள் வில்லும் வேலும் பிடித்துவருவார்கள்; அவர்கள் கொடியவர்கள், இரக்கம் அறியாதவர்கள்; அவர்கள் சத்தம் கடலின் இரைச்சலைப்போல் இருக்கும்; மகளாகிய சீயோனே, அவர்கள் உனக்கு விரோதமாக போர்செய்யக் குதிரைகளின்மேலேறி அணியணியாக வருவார்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
24 We have heard the report of them: our hands are weakened: anguish has seized us, the pangs as of a woman in travail.
௨௪அவர்கள் வருகிற செய்தியைக் கேட்டோம்; நம்முடைய கைகள் தளர்ந்தது; துன்பமும், கர்ப்பவதிக்கு உண்டாகும் வேதனையைப்போன்ற வேதனையும் நம்மைப் பிடித்தது.
25 Go not forth into the field, and walk not in the ways; for the sword of the enemy lingers round about.
௨௫வயல்வெளியில் புறப்படாதிருங்கள்; வழியிலும் நடக்காதிருங்கள்; சுற்றிலும் எதிரியின் பட்டயமும் பயங்கரமுமுண்டு.
26 O daughter of my people, gird yourself with sackcloth: sprinkle [yourself] with ashes; make for yourself pitiable lamentation, [as] the mourning for a beloved [son]: for misery will come suddenly upon you.
௨௬என் மக்களாகிய மகளே, நீ சணல் ஆடையைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, சாம்பலில் புரண்டு, ஒரே மகனுக்காகத் துக்கிக்கிறதுபோல மனங்கசந்து புலம்பு; அழிக்கிறவன் திடீரென்று நம்மேல் வருவான்.
27 I have caused you to be tried among tried nations, and you shall know me when I have tried their way.
௨௭நீ என் மக்களின் வழியை அறிந்துகொள்ளவும் சோதித்துப்பார்க்கவும் நான் உன்னை அவர்களுக்குள்ளே கோட்டைச்சுவராகவும், பாதுகாப்பாகவும் வைத்தேன்.
28 [They are] all disobedient, walking perversely: [they are] brass and iron; they are all corrupted.
௨௮அவர்களெல்லோரும் முரட்டாட்டமான அகங்காரிகளும், தூற்றித்திரிகிறவர்களுமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் வெண்கலமும் இரும்புமானவர்கள்; அவர்களெல்லோரும் கெட்டவர்கள்.
29 The bellows have failed from the fire, the lead has failed: the silversmith works at his trade in vain; their wickedness is not consumed.
௨௯தோல்பை வெந்தது; ஈயம் நெருப்பினால் அழிந்தது; புடமிடுகிறவனுடைய பிரயாசம் வீணாகப்போனது; பொல்லாப்புகள் நீங்கிப்போகவில்லை.
30 Call you them reprobate silver, because the Lord has rejected them.
௩0அவர்கள் தள்ளுபடியான வெள்ளி என்னப்படுவார்கள்; யெகோவா அவர்களைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார்.
