Jeremias 40
1 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias the second time, when he was yet bound in the court of the prison, saying,
Ɔsahene Nebusaradan a ɔtua ɔhene awɛmfoɔ ano no gyaee Yeremia wɔ Rama akyi no, asɛm no firi Awurade nkyɛn baa Yeremia hɔ. Ɔhunuu sɛ, wɔagu Yeremia nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn wɔ nnommumfoɔ a wɔfiri Yerusalem ne Yuda a na wɔde wɔn rekɔ Babilonia no mu.
2 Thus says the Lord, who made the earth and formed it, to establish it; the Lord is his name;
Brɛ a ɔsahene a ɔtua awɛmfoɔ no ano no hunuu Yeremia no, ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Awurade, wo Onyankopɔn, na ɔhyɛɛ saa amanehunu yi maa beaeɛ yi.
3 Cry to me, and I will answer you, and I will declare to you great and mighty things, which you know not.
Na afei, Awurade ama aba mu. Wayɛ sɛdeɛ ɔkaa sɛ ɔbɛyɛ no. Yeinom nyinaa baa mu, ɛfiri sɛ, mo saa nnipa yi yɛɛ bɔne tiaa Awurade na moanyɛ ɔsetie amma no.
4 For thus says the Lord concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the king of Juda, which have been pulled down for mounds and fortifications,
Nanso, ɛnnɛ mereyi wo afiri nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn a ɛgu wo nsa no mu. Sɛ wopɛ a, ma yɛnkɔ Babilonia na mɛhwɛ wo so, nanso sɛ wompɛ deɛ a ɛmma. Hwɛ ɔman no nyinaa na ɛda wʼanim no, kɔ baabiara a wopɛ.”
5 to fight against the Chaldeans, and to fill it with the corpses of men, whom I struck in mine anger and my wrath, and turned away my face from them, for all their wickedness:
Na ansa na Yeremia bɛdane ne ho akɔ no, Nebusaradan ka kaa ho sɛ, “Sane kɔ Ahikam babarima Gedalia a, ɔyɛ Safan nana, a Babiloniahene apa no sɛ ɔnhwɛ Yuda nkuro so no nkyɛn na wo ne no nkɔtena wɔ nnipa no mu, anaasɛ kɔ baabi foforɔ biara a wopɛ.” Na ɔsahene no maa Yeremia aduane ne akyɛdeɛ, na ɔmaa no kɔeɛ.
6 Behold, I bring upon her healing and cure, and I will show [myself] to them, and will heal her, and make both peace and security.
Enti, Yeremia kɔɔ Ahikam babarima Gedalia nkyɛn wɔ Mispa, na ɔne no tenaa nnipa a wɔkaa wɔ asase no so no mu.
7 And I will turn the captivity of Juda, and the captivity of Israel, and will build them, even as before.
Ɛberɛ a asraafoɔ mpanimfoɔ no nyinaa ne wɔn mmarima a wɔda so wɔ wiram no tee sɛ, Babiloniahene ayɛ Ahikam babarima Gedalia amrado wɔ asase no so, na ɔde mmarima, mmaa ne mmɔfra a wɔyɛ ahiafoɔ wɔ asase no so, na wɔamfa wɔn ankɔ nnommumfa mu wɔ Babilonia ahyɛ ne nsa no,
8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against me, and will not remember their sins, whereby they have sinned against me, and revolted from me.
wɔbaa Gedalia hɔ wɔ Mispa: Netania babarima Ismael, Karea mmammarima Yohanan ne Yonatan, Tanhumet babarima Seraia, Efai a ɔfiri Netofa mmammarima, Yesania a, ɔyɛ Maakani babarima ne wɔn mmarima.
9 And it shall be for joy and praise, and for glory to all the people of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I will do: and they shall fear and be provoked for all the good things and for all the peace which I will bring upon them.
Na Ahikam babarima Gedalia a ɔyɛ Safan nana no kaa ntam de hyɛɛ wɔn ne wɔn mmarima den sɛ, “Monnsuro sɛ mobɛsom Babiloniafoɔ. Montena asase no so na monsom Babiloniahene, na ɛbɛsi mo yie.
10 Thus says the Lord; There shall yet be heard in this place, of which you say, it is destitute of men and cattle, in the cities of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem, [the places] that have been made desolate for lack of men and cattle,
Me deɛ, mɛtena Mispa, na masi mo anan mu wɔ Babiloniafoɔ a wɔbɛba abɛhyia yɛn no mu, na mo deɛ, monkɔ boaboa nsã, ahuhuro berɛ mu nnuaba ne ngo ano ngu adekora nkuruwa mu wɔ twaberɛ mu, na montenatena nkuro a moafa no so.”
11 the voice of gladness, and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of men saying, Give thanks to the Lord Almighty: for the Lord is good; for his mercy [endures] fore ever: and they shall bring gifts into the house of the Lord; for I will turn all the captivity of that land as before, said the Lord.
Ɛberɛ a Yudafoɔ a wɔwɔ Moab, Amon, Edom ne aman ahodoɔ a aka no, tee sɛ Babiloniahene agya nkaeɛfoɔ bi wɔ Yuda na wayi Ahikam babarima Gedalia a ɔyɛ Safan nana sɛ amrado wɔ wɔn so no,
12 Thus says the Lord of hosts; There shall yet be in this place, that is desert for lack of man and beast, in all the cities thereof, resting-places for shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

13 In the cities of the hill country, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the [cities] round about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Juda, flocks shall yet pass under the hand of him that numbers [them], says the Lord.
Na Karea babarima Yohanan ne akodɔm ntuanofoɔ a wɔda so wɔ wiram no baa Gedalia nkyɛn wɔ Mispa
na wɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Wonnim sɛ, Amonhene Baalis asoma Netania babarima Ismael sɛ, ɔmmɛkum wo anaa?” Nanso, Ahikam babarima Gedalia annye wɔn anni.
Na Karea babarima Yohanan ka kyerɛɛ Gedalia wɔ kɔkoam wɔ Mispa sɛ, “Ma menkɔkum Netania babarima Ismael, na obiara rente. Adɛn enti na ɛsɛ sɛ ɔkum wo na ɔma Yudafoɔ a wɔatwa wo ho ahyia no bɔ hwete, na Yudafoɔ nkaeɛfoɔ no yera?”
Nanso, Ahikam babarima Gedalia ka kyerɛɛ Karea babarima Yohanan sɛ, “Ɛnyɛ saa adeɛ yi! Deɛ woka fa Ismael ho no nyɛ nokorɛ.”
