Jeremias 26
1 In the beginning of the reign of king Sedekias, there came this word concerning Aelam.
योशियाहका छोरा यहोयाकीमको शासनकालको सुरुमा परमप्रभुको यो वचन मकहाँ आयो,
2 FOR EGYPT, AGAINST THE POWER OF PHARAO NECHAO KING OF EGYPT, who was by the river Euphrates in Charmis, whom Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Joakim king of Juda.
“परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, 'मेरो मन्दिरको चोकमा खडा हो र मेरो मन्दिरमा आराधना गर्ने आउने यहूदाका सबै सहरको बारेमा भन् । तिनीहरूलाई भन्न मैले तँलाई आज्ञा गरेका सबै वचन घोषणा गर् । एउटै शब्द पनि नछोड ।
3 Take up arms and spears, and draw near to battle;
सयद तिनीहरूले सुन्नेछन्, अनि हरेक मानिस आफ्ना दुष्ट चालहरूबाट फर्कनेछन्, यसरी तिनीहरूका अभ्यासको दुष्टताको कारणले मैले तिनीहरूमाथि ल्याउने योजना गरेको विपत्ति ल्याउनबाट मैले आफ्नो मन म बद्लनेछु ।
4 and harness the horses: mount, you horsemen, and stand ready in your helmets; advance the spears, and put on your breastplates.
त्यसैले तैंले तिनीहरूलाई यसो भन्नुपर्छ, 'परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः मैले तिमीहरूको अगि राखिदिएको मेरो व्यवस्थाअनुसार हिंड्नलाई तिमीहरूले मेरो कुरा सुनेनौ भने,
5 Why do they fear, and turn back? even because their mighty men shall be slain: they have utterly fled, and being hemmed in they have not rallied, says the Lord.
मैले तिमीहरूकहाँ निरन्तर रूपमा पठाइरहेका मेरा दास, अगमवक्ताहरूका वचनहरू तिमीहरूले सुनेनौ भने, तर तिमीहरूले सुनेका छैनौ,
6 Let not the swift flee, and let not the mighty man escape to the north: the [forces] at Euphrates are become feeble, and they have fallen.
तब म यो मन्दिरलाई शीलोजस्तै बनाउनेछु । म यस सहरलाई पृथ्वीका सबै जातिको दृष्टिमा श्रापको पात्र बनाउनेछु' ।”
7 Who is this [that] shall come up as a river, and as rivers roll [their] waves?
यर्मियाले परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा यी वचन घोषणा गरेका पुजारीहरू, अगमवक्ताहरू र सबै मानिसले सुने ।
8 The waters of Egypt shall come up like a river: and he said, I will go up, and will cover the earth, and will destroy the dwellers in it.
त्यसैले जब परमप्रभुले यर्मियालाई भन्नू भनी आज्ञा गर्नुभएका वचन तिनले घोषणा गरेर सके, तब पुजारीहरू, अगमवक्ताहरू र सबै मानिसले तिनलाई समाते र भने, “तँ निश्चय नै मर्नेछस् ।
9 Mount you the horses, prepare the chariots; go forth, you warriors of the Ethiopians, and Libyans armed with shields; and mount, you Lydians, bend the bow.
यो मन्दिर शीलोझैं हुनेछ र यो सहर बासिन्दारहित उजाड हुनेछ भनेर किन परमप्रभुको नाउँमा अगमवाणी गरिस्?” किनकि सबै मानिसले परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा यर्मियाको विरुद्धमा भिड जम्मा गरेका थिए ।
10 And that day [shall be] to the Lord our God a day of vengeance, to take vengeance on his enemies: and the sword of the Lord shall devour, and be glutted, and be drunken with their blood: for the Lord [has] a sacrifice from the land of the north at the river Euphrates.
तब यहूदाका अधिकारीहरूले यो खबर सुने, र तिनीहरू राजाको महलदेखि परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा गए । तिनीहरू परमप्रभुको मन्दिरको नयाँ मूल ढोकामा बसे ।
11 Go up to Galaad, and take balm for the virgin daughter of Egypt: in vain have you multiplied your medicines; there is no help in you.
पुजारीहरू र अगमवक्ताहरूले अधिकारीहरू र सबै मानिससँग बोले । तिनीहरूले भने, “यो मानिसलाई मार्नु ठिक छ, किनकि यसले यो सहरको विरुद्धमा अगमवाणी बोलेका छ, जस्तो तपाईंहरूले आफ्नै कानले सुन्नुभएको छ ।”
12 The nations have heard your voice, and the land has been filled with your cry: for the warriors have fainted fighting one against another, [and] both are fallen together.
त्यसैले यर्मियाले सबै अधिकारी र सबै मानिससँग बोले र भने, “तपाईंहरूले सुन्नुभएका यी वचन भन्न परमप्रभुले मलाई यो मन्दिर र यो सहरको विरुद्धमा अगमवाणी बोल्न पठाउनुभएको छ ।
13 THE WORDS WHICH THE LORD SPOKE by Jeremias, concerning the coming of the king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt.
त्यसैले अब, आ-आफ्ना चाल र अभ्यासहरू सुधार्नुहोस् र परमप्रभु तपाईंहरूका परमेश्वरको सोर सुन्नुहोस्, ताकि उहाँले तपाईंहरूको विरुद्धमा घोषणा गर्नुभएको विपत्तिको विषयमा उहाँले आफ्नो मन बद्लनुहुनेछ ।
14 Proclaim [it] at Magdol, and declare [it] at Memphis: say you, Stand up, and prepare; for the sword has devoured your yew tree.
मेरो आफ्नै बारेमा, मलाई हेर्नुहोस्, म आफै तपाईंहरूकै हातमा छु । तपाईंहरूको दृष्टिमा जे ठिक र उचित लाग्छ, मलाई त्यही गर्नुहोस् ।
15 Therefore has Apis fled from you? your choice calf has not remained; for the Lord has utterly weakened him.
तर तपाईंहरूले निश्चय नै जान्नुपर्छ, कि तपाईंहरूले मलाई मार्नुभयो भने, तब तपाईंहरूले निर्दोष रगतको दोष आफैमा, यो सहरमा र यहाँका बासिन्दाहरूमा ल्याउँदै हुनुहुन्छ, र किनकि तपाईंहरूले सुन्ने गरी यी वचन घोषणा गर्न साँच्चै नै परमप्रभुले मलाई तपाईंहरूकहाँ पठाउनुभएको हो ।”
16 And your multitude has fainted and fallen; and each one said to his neighbor, Let us arise, and return into our country to our people, from the Grecian sword.
तब अधिकारीहरू र सबै मानिसले पुजारीहरू र अगमवक्ताहरूलाई भने, “यो मानिस मर्न लायक छैन, किनकि उसले परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्वरको नाउँमा यी कुराहरूको घोषणा गरेको छ ।”
17 Call you the name of Pharao Nechao king of Egypt, Saon esbeie moed.
तब देशका धर्म-गुरुहरूका माझबाट मानिसहरू खडा भए, र सारा मानिसहरूको सभालाई भने,
18 [As] I live, says the Lord God, he shall come as Itabyrion among the mountains, and as Carmel that is on the sea.
तिनीहरूले भने “मोरेशेतका मीकाले यहूदाका राजा हिजकियाको शासनकालमा अगमवाणी बोल्दै थिए । तिनले यहूदाका सबै मानिससँग बोले र भने, 'सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः सियोन जोतिएको खेतझैं हुनेछ, यरूशलेमचाहिं गिटीको थुप्रो हुनेछ र मन्दिरको डाँडाचाहिं झाडीझैं हुनेछ ।'
19 O daughter of Egypt dwelling [at home], prepare you stuff for removing: for Memphis shall be utterly desolate, and shall be called Woe, because there are no inhabitants in it.
के यहूदाका राजा हिजकिया र यहूदाका सारा मानिसले तिनलाई मारे त? के तिनले परमप्रभुको भय मान्ने काम गरे र परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूमाथि ल्याउने घोषणा गर्नुभएको विपत्ति ल्याउनबाट उहाँको मन बद्लने गरी के तिनले परमप्रभुको मुहारलाई शान्त पारेनन् र? यसरी हामी आफ्नै प्राणको विरुद्धमा अझै ठुलो दुष्ट काम गर्ने र?”
20 Egypt is a fair heifer, [but] destruction from the north is come upon her.
त्यसै बेला त्यहाँ परमप्रभुको नाउँमा अगमवाणी बोल्ने अर्का मानिस, किर्यत-यारीमा बस्ने शमायाहका छोरा उरियाह पनि थिए । यर्मियाका वचनहरूसित सहमत हुने गरी तिनले पनि यस सहर र यस देशको विरुद्धमा अगमवाणी बोले ।
21 Also her hired [soldiers] in the midst of her are as fatted calves fed in her; for they also have turned, and fled with one accord: they stood not, for the day of destruction was come upon them, and the time of their retribution.
तर जब राजा यहोयाकीम, तिनका सबै सिपाही र अधिकारीहरूले तिनको वचन सुने, तब राजाले तिनलाई मार्न खोजे, तर उरियाहले यो कुरा सुने र तिनी डराए । त्यसैले तिनी भागे र मिश्रमा गए ।
22 Their voice is as [that] of a hissing serpent, for they go upon the sand; they shall come upon Egypt with axes, as men that cut wood.
तब राजा यहोयाकीमले मिश्रमा अक्बोरका छोरा एल्नातान र त्यसका साथमा केही मानिसहरू उरियाहको पछिपछि मिश्रमा पठाए ।
23 They shall cut down her forest, says the Lord, for [their number] can’t at all be conjectured, for it exceeds the locust in multitude, and they are innumerable.
तिनीहरूले उरियाहलाई मिश्रबाट ल्याए र तिनलाई राजा यहोयाकीमकहाँ ल्याए । तब यहोयाकीमले तिनलाई तरवारले मारे, र तिनको लाशलाई साधारण मानिसका लाशहरू भएको ठाउँमा पठाए ।
24 The daughter of Egypt is confounded; she is delivered into the hands of a people from the north.
तर शापानका छोरा अहीकामको हात यर्मियासित थियो । त्यसैले तिनलाई मारिनलाई मानिसहरूका हातमा दिइएन ।
25 Behold, I [will] avenge Ammon her son upon Pharao, and upon them that trust in him.
27 But fear not you, my servant Jacob, neither be you alarmed, Israel: for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be at ease, and sleep, and there shall be no one to trouble him.
28 Fear not you, my servant Jacob, says the Lord; for I am with you: she [that was] without fear and in luxury, has been delivered up: for I will make a full end of every nation among whom I have thrust you forth; but I will not cause you to fail: yet will I chastise you in the way of judgment, and will not hold you entirely guiltless.
