Jeremias 19
1 Then said the Lord to me, Go and get an earthen bottle, the work of the potter, and you shall bring [some] of the elders of the people, and of the priests;
परमप्रभुले यसो भन्नुभयो, “जा र तँ मानिसहरू र पुजारीहरूका धर्म-गुरुहरूसित हुँदा कुमालेको माटोको भाँडो किन् ।
2 and you shall go forth to the burial-place of the sons of their children, which is at the entrance of the gate of Charsith; and do you read there all these words which I shall speak to you:
त्यसपछि बेन-हिन्नोमको बेँसीमा भएको फुटेको भाँडाको ढोकामा जा र मैले तँलाई बताउने वचनहरू त्यहाँ घोषणा गर ।
3 and you shall say to them, Hear you the word of the Lord, you kings of Juda, and men of Juda, and the dwellers in Jerusalem, and they that enter in by these gates; thus says the Lord God of Israel; Behold, I [will] bring evil upon this place, so that the ears of every one that hears it shall tingle.
यसो भन्, 'हे यहूदाका राजाहरू र यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरू हो, परमप्रभुको वचन सुन । सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, 'हेर्, मैले यस ठाउँमाथि विपत्ति ल्याउनै लागेको छु, र यस विषयमा सुन्ने हरेकको कान झनझनाउने छ ।
4 Because they forsook me, and profaned this place, and burnt incense in it to strange gods, which they and their fathers knew not; and the kings of Juda have filled this place with innocent blood,
तिनीहरूले मलाई त्यागेका र यस ठाउँलाई अपवित्र तुल्याका हुनाले म यसो गर्ने छु । यही ठाउँमा आफूले नचिनेका अन्य देवताहरूलाई तिनीहरूले बलिदान चढाउँछन् । तिनीहरू, तिनीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरू र यहूदाका राजाहरूले यही ठाउँमा निर्दोष रगत पनि बगाएका छन् ।
5 and built high places for Baal, to burn their children in the fire, which things I commanded not, neither did I design [them] in my heart:
आफ्ना छोराहरू बाल देवतालाई आगोमा होमबलिको रूपमा चढाउन तिनीहरूले त्यसका अग्ला ठाउँहरू बनाए, यस्तो कुनै कुरो जुन मैले आज्ञा गरिनँ वा बताइनँ न त मेरो मनमा नै थियो ।
6 Therefore, behold, the days come, says the Lord, when this place shall no more be called, The fall and burial-place of the son of Ennom, but, The burial-place of slaughter.
त्यसकारण, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, हेर्, त्यस्ता दिनहरू आउँदैछन्, त्यति बेला यस ठाउँलाई तोपेत अर्थात् बेन-हिन्नोमको बेँसी भनिनेछैन, तर हत्याको बेँसी भनिनेछ ।
7 And I will destroy the counsel of Juda and the counsel of Jerusalem in this place; and I will cast them down with the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and I will give their dead bodies for food to the birds of the sky and to the wild beasts of the earth.
यही ठाउँमा म यहूदा र यरूशलेमका योजनाहरूलाई बेकम्मा तुल्याउनेछु । म तिनीहरूका आफ्ना शत्रुको तरवार र तिनीहरूको ज्यान लिन खोज्नेहरूको हातद्वारा नष्ट गर्नेछु । त्यसपछि म तिनीहरूका लाशहरू आकाशका चराहरू र जमिनका जनावरहरूलाई आहाराको रूपमा दिनेछु ।
8 And I will bring this city to desolation and [make it] a hissing; every one that passes by it shall scowl, and hiss because of all her plague.
अनि म यस सहरलाई भग्नावशेष र गिल्लाको वस्तु बनाउनेछु, किनकि यसबाट भएर जाने हरेकले यी सबै विपत्ति देखेर डराउनेछ र गिल्ला गर्नेछ ।
9 And they shall eat the flesh of their sons, and the flesh of their daughters; and they shall eat every one the flesh of his neighbor in the blockade, and in the siege wherewith their enemies shall besiege them.
तिनीहरूलाई आफ्नै छोराछोरीको मासु खाने म बनाउनेछु । तिनीहरूका शत्रुहरू र तिनीहरूको ज्यान लिन खोज्नेहरूद्वारा ल्याइएको घेराबन्दी र सङ्कष्टमा हरेक मानिसले आफ्नै छिमेकीको मासु खानेछ ।”
10 And you shall break the bottle in the sight of the men that go forth with you,
“तब तँसगै गएका मानिसहरूका आँखाकै सामु तैंले त्यो माटोको भाँडा फुटाइदे ।
11 and you shall say, Thus says the Lord, Thus will I break in pieces this people, and this city, even as an earthen vessel is broken in pieces which can’t be mended again.
तैंले तिनीहरूलाई यसो भन्, 'सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः जसरी यो माटोको भाँडो फेरि मर्मत हुनै नसक्ने गरी यर्मियाले फुटाएको छ, त्यसरी नै म यी मानिस र यस सहरलाई गर्नेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो । अरू बढी लासहरू गाड्ने ठाउँ नभएसम्म नै मानिसहरूले तोपेतमा लासहरू गाड्नेछन् ।
12 Thus will I do, says the Lord, to this place, and to the inhabitants of it, that this city may be given up, as one that is falling to ruin.
मैले यो सहरलाई तोपेतजस्तै बनाउँदा यो ठाउँ र यसका बासिन्दालाई म यसै गर्नेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो,
13 And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Juda shall be as a ruinous place, because of their uncleannesses in all the houses, wherein they burnt incense upon their roofs to all the host of heaven, and poured drink-offerings to strange gods.
यसरी, यरूशलेमका घरानाहरू र यहूदाका राजाहरू, ती सबै घर जसका कौसीहरूमा अशुद्ध मानिसहरूले आकाशमण्डलका सबै ताराहरूको पुजा गरे र अरू देवताहरूलाई अर्घबलि चढाए, तिनीहरू तोपेतजस्तै हुनेछन्' ।”
14 And Jeremias came from [the place] of the Fall, whither the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the Lord's house: and said to all the people, Thus says the Lord;
तब यर्मिया तोपेतबाट गए, जहाँ अगमवाणी बोल्न परमप्रभुले तिनलाई पठाउनुभएको थियो । तिनी परमप्रभुको मन्दिरको चोकमा खडा भए र तिनले सबै मानिसलाई भने,
15 Behold I bring upon this city, and upon all the cities belonging to it, and upon the villages of it, all the evils which I have spoken against it, because they have hardened their neck, [that they might not] listen to my commands.
“सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, 'हेर्, मैले यो सहर र यसका सबै नगरहरूको विरुद्धमा घोषणा गरेका सबै विपत्ति ल्याउनै लागेकोछु, किनकि तिनीहरू अटेरी भए र मेरा वचन सुन्न इन्कार गरे' ।”
