< Jeremias 19 >
1 Then said the Lord to me, Go and get an earthen bottle, the work of the potter, and you shall bring [some] of the elders of the people, and of the priests;
Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih; Caeh ah loe laom sah kami khaeah long laom maeto la ah, saning coeh kaminawk hoi saning coeh qaimanawk to caeh haih ah,
2 and you shall go forth to the burial-place of the sons of their children, which is at the entrance of the gate of Charsith; and do you read there all these words which I shall speak to you:
ni angyae khongkha akunhaih taeng ih, Hinnon capa ih azawn ah caeh ah loe, to ah kang thuih ih lok to taphong ah,
3 and you shall say to them, Hear you the word of the Lord, you kings of Juda, and men of Juda, and the dwellers in Jerusalem, and they that enter in by these gates; thus says the Lord God of Israel; Behold, I [will] bring evil upon this place, so that the ears of every one that hears it shall tingle.
Aw Judah siangpahrang hoi Jerusalem ah kaom kaminawk, Angraeng ih lok to tahngai oh; misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng, Israel Angraeng Sithaw mah hae tiah thuih; Khenah, tamthang thaih kaminawk, hae ahmuen ah naa angkoek khoek to amrohaih ka phaksak han.
4 Because they forsook me, and profaned this place, and burnt incense in it to strange gods, which they and their fathers knew not; and the kings of Juda have filled this place with innocent blood,
Nihcae mah kai ang pahnawt o boeh, nihcae loe angmacae mah panoek o ai ih, ampanawk mah doeh panoek o ai moe, siangpahrangnawk mah doeh panoek o vai ai ih kalah sithawnawk hmaa ah, hmuihoih hmai to thlaek o, hae ahmuen hae minawk kalah ih ahmuen ah a sak o moe, zaehaih tawn ai kaminawk ih athii hoiah hae ahmuen hae koi o sak boeh.
5 and built high places for Baal, to burn their children in the fire, which things I commanded not, neither did I design [them] in my heart:
Sak han ka thui ai, thuih doeh ka thui pae ai, palung thungah doeh ka poek ai ih hmai angbawnhaih to nihcae mah sak o baktih toengah, Baal khaeah a capanawk hmai hoi qoeng hanah hmuensangnawk to a sak o.
6 Therefore, behold, the days come, says the Lord, when this place shall no more be called, The fall and burial-place of the son of Ennom, but, The burial-place of slaughter.
To pongah, khenah, hae ahmuen loe Tophet tiah maw, to tih ai boeh loe Hinnom capa ih azawn, tiah maw kawk o mak ai, kami humhaih azawn, tiah ni kawk o tih; to ani loe angzoh li boeh, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
7 And I will destroy the counsel of Juda and the counsel of Jerusalem in this place; and I will cast them down with the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and I will give their dead bodies for food to the birds of the sky and to the wild beasts of the earth.
Judah hoi Jerusalem mah sak atimhaih hmuen to hae ahmuen ah kam rosak han; nihcae to angmacae ih misa hoi nihcae hinghaih pakrong kaminawk ban ah sumsen hoiah kam timsak han; nihcae ih qok to van ih tavaanawk hoi long ih moi kasannawk hanah buh ah ka paek han.
8 And I will bring this city to desolation and [make it] a hissing; every one that passes by it shall scowl, and hiss because of all her plague.
Hae vangpui hae kam rosak moe, minawk padaenghaih ah ka sak han; a taengah caeh kaminawk boih loe hae vangpui mah tong ih raihaih to dawnrai o ueloe, padaeng o tih.
9 And they shall eat the flesh of their sons, and the flesh of their daughters; and they shall eat every one the flesh of his neighbor in the blockade, and in the siege wherewith their enemies shall besiege them.
Nihcae hum han pakrong misanawk mah, takui khoep moe, raihaih a tong o pongah, a capanawk hoi a canunawk ih ngan to ka caaksak han, nihcae loe angmacae hoi angmacae ih ngan to caa o tih.
10 And you shall break the bottle in the sight of the men that go forth with you,
To pacoengah nang hoi nawnto caeh kaminawk hmaa ah tui tabu to pakhoih ah loe,
11 and you shall say, Thus says the Lord, Thus will I break in pieces this people, and this city, even as an earthen vessel is broken in pieces which can’t be mended again.
nihcae khaeah, misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah, pakhrai let thai han ai ah, long laom sah kami mah sak ih laom to pakhoih baktih toengah, hae kaminawk hoi hae vangpui hae kam rosak han; Tophet ah nihcae aphumhaih ahmuen kong mak ai boeh, tiah a thuih.
12 Thus will I do, says the Lord, to this place, and to the inhabitants of it, that this city may be given up, as one that is falling to ruin.
Hae ahmuen hoi hae ih kaminawk khaeah, to tiah ka sak moe, hae vangpui hae Tophet ahmuen baktiah ka ohsak han,
13 And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Juda shall be as a ruinous place, because of their uncleannesses in all the houses, wherein they burnt incense upon their roofs to all the host of heaven, and poured drink-offerings to strange gods.
im nui boih ah na dawh o moe, van ih cakaehnawk khaeah hmuihoih na thlaek o pacoengah, kalah sithawnawk khaeah tui angbawnhaih na sak o pongah, Jerusalem ih im hoi Judah siangpahrangnawk ih im loe, Tophet ahmuen baktiah amhnong tih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
14 And Jeremias came from [the place] of the Fall, whither the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the Lord's house: and said to all the people, Thus says the Lord;
To pacoengah Jeremiah loe Angraeng mah lokthuih han patoeh ih Tophet ahmuen hoiah amlaem let; anih loe Angraeng ih im thungah angdoet moe, kaminawk boih khaeah,
15 Behold I bring upon this city, and upon all the cities belonging to it, and upon the villages of it, all the evils which I have spoken against it, because they have hardened their neck, [that they might not] listen to my commands.
misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng, Israel Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, hae vangpui kaminawk loe ka lok tahngaih o han ai ah, tahnong amtak o sak pongah, hae ah kaom kaminawk khaeah ka thuih ih amrohaih hmuennawk to ka phaksak boih han, tiah a thuih.
