Esias 62
1 For Sion's sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as light, and my salvation burn as a torch.
Zionin tähden en minä vaikene, ja Jerusalemin tähden en minä lakkaa, siihenasti että hänen vanhurskautensa koittaa niinkuin paiste, ja hänen autuutensa palaa niinkuin tulisoitto.
2 And the Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and kings your glory: and one shall call you [by] a new name, which the Lord shall name.
Että pakanatkin näkisivät sinun vanhurskautes, ja kaikki kunikaat sinun kunnias. Ja sinä nimitetään uudella nimellä, jonka Herran suu on nimittävä.
3 And you shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
Ja sinun pitää oleman kunnian kruunu Herran kädesssä, ja kuninkaan hiippa sinun Jumalas kädessä.
4 And you shall no more be called Forsaken; and your land shall no more be called Desert: for you shall be called My Pleasure, and your land Inhabited: for the Lord has taken pleasure in you, and your land shall be inhabited.
Et sinä enään kutsuta hyljätyksi, eikä sinun maatas enää sanota hävitetyksi, vaan sinä kutsutaan: minun suosioni on hänessä, ja sinun maas asuttavaksi; sillä Herra on mielistynyt sinuun, ja sinun maallas asutaan.
5 And as a young man lives with a virgin, so shall your sons dwell in [you]: and it shall come to pass [that] as a bridegroom will rejoice over a bride, so will the Lord rejoice over you.
Sillä niinkuin nuorukainen rakastaa neitsyttä, niin sinun lapses pitää sinua rakastaman; ja niinkuin ylkä iloitsee morsiamestansa, niin myös sinun Jumalas iloitsee sinusta.
6 And on your walls, O Jerusalem, have I set watchmen all day and all night, who shall never cease making mention of the Lord.
Jerusalem, minä asetan vartiat muuris päälle, jotka ei ikänä päivällä eikä yöllä vaikene; ja jotka Herran muistatte, ei teidän pidä vaiti oleman.
7 For there is none like you, when he shall have established, and made Jerusalem a praise on the earth.
Ja ei teidän pidä hänestä vaikeneman, siihenasti että hän sen vahvistaa, ja asettaa Jerusalemin maan päälle kiitokseksi.
8 For the Lord has sworn by his glory, and by the might of his arm, I will no more give your corn and your provisions to your enemies; nor shall strangers any more drink your wine, for which you has laboured.
Herra vannoo oikian kätensä kautta, ja voimansa käsivarren kautta: en minä tahdo enään antaa jyviäs vihollistes syödä, enkä viinaas, jonka tähden sinä työtä teit, muukalaisten juoda;
9 But they that have gathered them shall eat them, and they shall praise the Lord; and they that have gathered [the grapes] shall drink thereof in my holy courts.
Vaan jotka sen kokoovat, syövät sitä ja kiittävät Herraa; ja jotka sitä kokoovat, juovat sitä minun pyhyyteni esihuoneissa.
10 Go through my gates, and make a way for my people; and cast the stones out of the way; lift up a standard for the Gentiles.
Menkäät, menkäät porttein kautta, peratkaat tietä kansalle: silittäkäät, silittäkäät polut, siirtäkäät kivet pois, ylentäkäät lippu kansain päälle.
11 For behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, say you to the daughter of Sion, Behold, your Saviour has come to you, having his reward and his work before his face.
Katso, Herra antaa sen kuulua hamaan maailman ääriin asti: sanokaat Zionin tyttärelle: katso, sinun autuutes tulee, katso, hänen palkkansa on hänen myötänsä, ja hänen työnsä hänen edessänsä.
12 And one shall call them the holy people, the redeemed of the Lord: and you shall be called a city sought out, and not forsaken.
Ja he pitää kutsuttaman pyhäksi kansaksi, Herran lunastetuiksi; ja sinä kutsutaan etsityksi ja ei hyljätyksi kaupungiksi.
