Esias 57
1 See how the just man has perished, and no one lays [it] to heart: and righteous men are taken away, and no one considers: for the righteous has been removed out of the way of injustice.
Atĩrĩrĩ, andũ arĩa athingu makuaga o ro ũguo, na gũtirĩ mũndũ wĩciiragia ũhoro ũcio ngoro-inĩ yake; andũ arĩa etigĩri-Ngai meheragio, na gũtirĩ mũndũ ũmenyaga atĩ acio athingu meheretio nĩguo matharwo, matikoone ũũru.
2 His burial shall be in peace: he has been removed out of the way.
Andũ arĩa mathiiaga na mĩthiĩre mĩagĩrĩru, matoonyaga thayũ-inĩ; ningĩ nĩmonaga ũhurũko makua.
3 But draw you near hither, you lawless children, the seed of adulterers and the harlot.
“No inyuĩ-rĩ, ũkaai haha, inyuĩ ariũ a mũndũ-wa-nja mũragũri, o inyuĩ ciana cia itharia na cia maraya!
4 Wherein have you been rioting? and against whom have you opened your mouth, and against whom have you loosed your tongue? are you not children of perdition? a lawless seed?
Nũũ ũcio inyuĩ mũranyũrũria? Nũũ ũcio mũratembanĩria mĩromo na mũkamũrutĩra rũrĩmĩ? Githĩ inyuĩ ti inyuĩ ciana cia aremi, o na rũciaro rwa aheenania?
5 who call upon idols under the leafy trees, slaying your children in the valleys among the rocks?
Inyuĩ mũhĩahĩaga nĩ thuti cianyu mũrĩ kũu mĩgandi-inĩ, na mũrĩ rungu rwa mũtĩ o wothe mũruru; mũrutaga ciana cianyu magongona kũu ituamba-inĩ, na mĩatũka-inĩ ya ndwaro cia mahiga.
6 That is your portion, this is your lot: and to them have you poured forth drink-offerings, and to these have you offered meat-offerings. Shall I not therefore be angry for these things?
“Mĩhianano ya kũhooywo ĩrĩa ĩrĩ mahiga-inĩ manyoroku kũu ituamba-inĩ nĩyo rũgai rwanyu; ĩĩ, mĩhianano ĩyo nĩyo igai rĩanyu. Ĩĩ, ĩyo nĩyo ũitĩire magongona maku ma kĩndũ gĩa kũnyuuo, na ũkamĩrutĩra maruta ma mũtu. Niĩ-rĩ, ingĩhota atĩa gũkirĩrĩria maũndũ ta macio?
7 On a lofty and high mountain, there is your bed, and there you carried up your meat-offerings:
Wee ũthondekete ũrĩrĩ waku karĩma-inĩ karĩa karaaya na igũrũ, na gatũũgĩru; na kũu igũrũ nĩkuo waambatire, ũgĩthiĩ kũrutĩra magongona maku kuo.
8 and behind the posts of your door you did place your memorials. Did you think that if you should depart from me, you would gain? you have loved those that lay with you;
Thuutha wa mĩrango yaku, na hingĩro-inĩ ciayo nĩkuo ũigĩte imenyithia cia gũkũririkania ũhoro wa mĩhianano ya andũ acio matooĩ Ngai. Nĩwahumbũririe gĩtanda gĩaku nĩ ũndũ wa kũndirika, ũkĩhaica igũrũ rĩakĩo, o na ũgĩkĩaramia makĩria; ũkĩrĩĩkanĩra na acio wendete itanda ciao, na ũgĩcooka ũkĩĩrorera njaga yao.
9 and you have multiplied your whoredom with them, and you have increased the number of them that are far from you, and have sent ambassadors beyond your borders, and have been debased even to hell. (Sheol h7585)
Nĩwathiire kũrĩ Moleku ũrĩ na maguta ma mũtĩ wa mũtamaiyũ, na ũkĩongerera maguta maku marĩa manungaga wega. Nĩwatũmire abarũthi aku mathiĩ kũndũ kũraya mũno; ningĩ ũgĩikũrũka o nginya mbĩrĩra-inĩ! (Sheol h7585)
10 You has wearied yourself with your many ways; yet you said not, I will cease to strengthen myself: for you has done these things; therefore you has not supplicated me.
Nĩwanogirio nĩ mĩthiĩre yaku yothe, no rĩrĩ, ndũigana kuuga atĩrĩ, ‘Ũndũ ũyũ nĩ wa tũhũ.’ Ũkĩgĩa na hinya mwerũ, nĩ ũndũ ũcio ndũigana kũringĩka.
11 Through dread of whom have you feared, and lied against me, and has not remembered, nor considered me, nor regarded me, yes, though when I see you I pass you by, yet you has not feared me.
“Nũũ wakũiguithirie guoya na ũkĩmwĩtigĩra, ũũ atĩ ũkoretwo ũkĩaga gũtuĩka mwĩhokeku kũrĩ niĩ, na ũkaaga gũcooka kũndirikana, o na kana wĩcũũranie ũhoro ũcio na ngoro yaku? Githĩ ti tondũ ngoretwo ngirĩte ki ihinda iraihu, nawe ũkaaga kũnjĩtigĩra?
12 And I will declare your righteousness, and your sins, which shall not profit you.
Nĩngaumbũrania ũthingu waku na ciĩko ciaku, nacio itigakũguna.
13 When you cry out, let them deliver you in your affliction: for all these the wind shall take, and the tempest shall carry [them] away: but they that cleave to me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.
Rĩrĩa ũgaakaya ũkĩenda ũteithio-rĩ, mĩhianano ĩyo ya kũhooywo ũnganĩtie-rĩ, nĩĩgagĩkũhonokia! Rũhuho nĩrũkamĩkuua yothe, yũmbũrwo, yeherio nĩ mĩhũmũ mĩtheri. No rĩrĩ, mũndũ ũrĩa ũnduuaga rĩũrĩro rĩake-rĩ, nĩwe ũkaagaya bũrũri, o na egwatĩre kĩrĩma gĩakwa kĩrĩa kĩamũre.”
14 And they shall say, Clear the ways before him, and take up the stumbling blocks out of the way of my people.
Na nĩgũkeeranwo atĩrĩ: “Akaai, akaai, na mũthondeke njĩra! Eheriai mĩhĩnga yehere njĩra-inĩ ya andũ akwa.”
15 Thus says the Most High, who dwells on high for ever, Holy in the holies, is his name, the Most High resting in the holies, and giving patience to the faint-hearted, and giving life to the broken-hearted:
Nĩgũkorwo Ũrĩa-Ũrĩ-Igũrũ Mũno, o We ũtũũgĩrĩtio na ũtũũraga tene na tene, ũrĩa wĩtagwo mũtheru; ekuuga atĩrĩ: “Ndũũraga o igũrũ handũ hatheru, na ningĩ ngatũũrania na mũndũ ũrĩa ũrĩ ngoro ĩthuthĩkĩte, na ũrĩa ũherete na wĩnyiihĩtie, nĩguo njarahũre roho wa mũndũ ũcio wĩnyiihĩtie, na njarahũre ngoro ĩyo ĩthuthĩkĩte.
16 I will not take vengeance on you for ever, neither will I be always angry with you: for my Spirit shall go forth from me, and I have created all breath.
Ndigũtũũra ndũithanagia nginya tene, o na kana ndũũre ndakarĩte hĩndĩ ciothe, tondũ roho wa mũndũ wahota kũringĩka mbere yakwa, mĩhũmũ ĩyo ya mũndũ ũcio ndoombire ĩhwererekere.
17 On account of sin for a little while I grieved him, and struck him, and turned away my face from him; and he was grieved, and he went on sorrowful in his ways.
Nĩndarakaririo mũno nĩ mehia make ma gũkoroka; ngĩmũherithia na ngĩmũhitha ũthiũ wakwa nĩ kũrakara, no agĩthiĩ o na mbere na mĩthiĩre yake ĩrĩa eyendeire.
18 I have seen his ways, and healed him, and comforted him, and given him true comfort;
Nĩnyonete njĩra ciake, no nĩngamũhonia; ningĩ nĩngamũtongoria, na njooke ndĩmũũmĩrĩrie,
19 peace upon peace to them that are far off, and to them that are near: and the Lord has said, I will heal them.
ndũme kũgĩe na ũgooci tũnua-inĩ twa andũ arĩa macakayaga kũu Isiraeli. Thayũ, thayũ kũrĩ arĩa marĩ kũraya, na kũrĩ arĩa marĩ gũkuhĩ,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga. “Na nĩ niĩ ngaamahonia.”
20 But the unrighteous shall be tossed as troubled waves, and shall not be able to rest.
No rĩrĩ, andũ arĩa aaganu mahaana ta iria rĩgĩikia ndiihũ ciarĩo, rĩrĩa rĩtangĩhoorera, rĩrĩa makũmbĩ marĩo mahurunjaga ndaka na ndooro.
21 There is no joy to the ungodly, said God.
Ngai wakwa ekuuga atĩrĩ, “Mũndũ ũrĩa mwaganu-rĩ, ndarĩ hĩndĩ angĩgĩa na thayũ.”
