< Esias 47 >
1 Come down, sit on the ground, O virgin daughter of Babylon: sit on the ground, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for you shall no more be called tender and luxurious.
“Siane kɔ, tena mfuturo mu, Ɔbabaa bunu Babilonia; tena fam. Worentena ahennwa so bio, Ɔbabaa Babiloniafoɔ. Wɔremfrɛ wo bio sɛ, ɔbaabereɛ a wɔkorɔkorɔ no bio.
2 Take a millstone, grind meal: remove your veil, uncover your white hairs, make bare the leg, pass through the rivers.
Fa owiyammoɔ na yam esiam; yi wo nkatanimu no. Pagya wʼatadeɛ kɔ soro, na wo nan ho ngu hɔ, na fa nsuwansuwa no mu.
3 Your shame shall be uncovered, your reproaches shall be brought to light: I will exact of you due vengeance, I will no longer deliver you to men.
Wʼadagya bɛda adi na wʼanimguaseɛ so renkata. Mɛtɔ were; memfa obiara ho nkyɛ no.”
4 Your deliverer is the Lord of hosts, the Holy One of Israel is his name.
Yɛn Gyefoɔ, Asafo Awurade ne ne din, ɔno ne Israel Kronkronni.
5 Sit you down pierced with woe, go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: you shall no more be called the strength of a kingdom.
“Tena ase dinn, kɔhyɛ esum mu, Ɔbabaa Babilonia; wɔremfrɛ wo bio sɛ ahennie ahodoɔ so hemaa.
6 I have been provoked with my people; you have defiled mine inheritance: I gave them into your hand, but you did not extend mercy to them: you made the yoke of the aged man very heavy,
Me bo fuu me nkurɔfoɔ, na meguu mʼagyapadeɛ ho fi; mede wɔn hyɛɛ wo nsa, na woanhunu wɔn mmɔbɔ. Nkɔkoraa koraa mpo wosoaa wɔn kɔnnua duruduru.
7 and said, I shall be a princess for ever: you did not perceive these things in your heart, nor did you remember the latter end.
Wokaa sɛ, ‘Mɛkɔ so daa, ayɛ ɔhemmaa afebɔɔ.’ Nanso woannwene saa nneɛma yi ho na woansusu deɛ ɛbɛtumi asie ho.
8 But now hear these words, you luxurious one, [who are] the one that sits [at ease], that is secure, that says in her heart, I am, and there is not another; I shall not sit a widow, neither shall I know bereavement.
“Afei tie, wo odwamanfoɔ, woredwodwo wo ho wɔ wo banbɔ mu na woka kyerɛ wo ho sɛ, ‘me ne no, na obiara nni hɔ sɛ me. Merenyɛ okunafoɔ da na merenni abawuo.’
9 But now these two things shall come upon you suddenly in one day, the loss of children and widowhood shall come suddenly upon you, for your sorcery, for the strength of your enchantments,
Saa nneɛma mmienu yi bɛto wo prɛko pɛ, dakoro pɛ: abawuo ne kunayɛ. Saa nneɛma yi bɛba wo so pa ara, wʼabayisɛm bebrebe yi ne ntafowayie a emu yɛ den nyinaa akyi.
10 for your trusting in wickedness: for you said, I am, and there is not another: know you, the understanding of these things and your harlotry shall be your shame; for you said in your heart, I am, and there is not another.
Wode wo ho ato wʼamumuyɛ so na waka sɛ, ‘Obiara nhunu me.’ Wo nyansa ne nimdeɛ ma wo fom kwan ɛberɛ a woka kyerɛ wo ho sɛ, ‘Me ne no, obiara nni hɔ ka me ho.’
11 And destruction shall come upon you, and you shall not be aware; [there shall be a] pit, and you shall fall into it: and grief shall come upon you, and you shall not be able to be clear; and destruction shall come suddenly upon you, and you shall not know.
Amanehunu bɛto wo, na worenhunu ɛkwan ko a wobɛfa so ayi afiri hɔ. Ɔhaw bi bɛba wo so a worentumi mfa mpatadeɛ nyi mfiri hɔ; atoyerɛnkyɛm a ɛnnaa ne ho adi nkyerɛɛ wo bɛba wo so mpofirim.
12 Stand now with your enchantments, and with the abundance of your sorcery, which you have learned from your youth; if you can be profited.
“Kɔ so yɛ wo ntafowayie ne wʼabayisɛm bebrebe a wode adi dwuma firi wo mmɔfraase no. Ebia wobɛdi nkonim, ebia wode ehu bɛba.
13 You are wearied in your counsels. Let now the astrologers of the heaven stand and deliver you, let them that see the stars tell you what is about to come upon you.
Woabrɛ wɔ afotufoɔ bebrebe a woanya no mu! Ma wo nsoromma ho anyansafoɔ mmra anim, wɔn a wɔhwɛ nsoromma mu no ka deɛ ɛreba bosome biara mu no, ma wɔnnnye wo mfiri deɛ ɛreba wo so no mu.
14 Behold, they all shall be burnt up as sticks in the fire; neither shall they at all deliver their life from the flame. Because you have coals of fire, sit you upon them;
Nokorɛm, wɔte sɛ nnyentia; ogya bɛhye wɔn. Na wɔntumi nnye wɔn ankasa ho mfiri egyadɛreɛ ano den no ho. Ogyasramma biara nni ha a ɛbɛka wo hye; ogya biara nni ha a wɔbɛtena ho ato.
15 these shall be your help. You have wearied yourself with traffic from your youth: every man has wandered to his own home, but you shall have no deliverance.
Deɛ wɔbɛtumi ayɛ ama wo ara ne no, yeinom na wo ne wɔn abrɛ na wo ne wɔn anante firi mmɔfraase. Wɔn mu biara afa ne kwan; ɔbaako mpo nni hɔ a ɔbɛtumi agye woɔ.
