< Esias 46 >
1 Bel has fallen, Nabo is broken to pieces, their graven images are gone to the wild beasts and the cattle: you take them packed up as a burden to the weary, exhausted, hungry, and [at the same time] helpless man;
Beel gad jedha; Neboo akka malee gugguufa; waaqonni isaanii tolfamoon kotte duudaa fi horiitti feʼamaniiru; fakkiiwwan isaan qabatanii jooran baʼaa dha; horii dadhabeef baʼaa dha.
2 who will not be able to save themselves from war, but they themselves are led [away] captive.
Isaan gugguufanii walii wajjin gad jedhu; baʼaa sana oolchuu hin dandaʼan; isaan iyyuu ni boojiʼamu.
3 Hear me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of Israel, who are borne [by me] from the womb, and taught [by me] from infancy, [even] to old age:
“Yaa mana Yaaqoob, isin hambaan mana Israaʼel hundi, warri ani gaafa isin gadameessa keessatti uumamtanii jalqabee ol isin qabee gaafa dhalattanii jalqabees isin baadhe hundi dhaggeeffadhaa.
4 I am [he]; and until you shall have grown old, I am [he]: I bear you, I have made, and I will relieve, I will take up and save you.
Hamma dulloomtanii arrii baaftanitti, ani isa; isuma isin jiraachisuu dha. Ani isin uumeera; isinan baadhas; ani isinan jiraachisa; isinan baraaras.
5 To whom have you compared me? see, consider, you that go astray.
“Isin eenyuun wal bira na qabdu yookaan eenyuun wal na qixxeessitu? Akka wal madaalluufis eenyutti na fakkeessitu?
6 They that furnish gold out of a purse, and silver by weight, will weigh it in a scale, and they hire a goldsmith and make idols, and bow down, and worship them.
Namoonni tokko tokko korojoo isaanii keessaa warqee gad naqanii madaalliidhaan meetii madaalu; Waaqa tolfamaa tolchuuf jedhanii tumtuu warqee qacaru; isaanis gad jedhanii sagaduuf.
7 They bear it upon the shoulder, and go; and if they put it upon its place, it remains, it can’t move: and whoever shall cry to it, it can’t hear; it can’t save him from trouble.
Ol fuudhanii gatiittii isaaniitti ni baatu; iddoo isaatti ni deebisu; innis achi dhaabata. Inni iddoo sanaa sochoʼuu hin dandaʼu. Yoo namni gara isaatti iyye iyyuu, inni deebii hin kennu; inni rakkoo isaa keessaa isa baasuu hin dandaʼu.
8 Remember you these things, and groan: repent, you that have gone astray, return in your heart;
“Yaa finciltoota, waan kana yaadadhaa; qalbiittis qabadhaa; garaa keessan keessas kaaʼadhaa.
9 and remember the former things [that were] of old: for I am God, and there is none other beside me,
Wantoota darban kanneen bara durii yaadadhaa; ani Waaqa; kan biraa hin jiru; ani Waaqa; kan akka koo hin jiru.
10 telling beforehand the latter events before they come to pass, and they are accomplished together: and I said, all my counsel shall stand, and I will do all things that I have planned:
Ani dhuma waan tokkoo jalqabumatti nan labsa; waan amma iyyuu dhufuuf jiru, ani durumaa jalqabee dubbadheera. Ani, ‘Kaayoon koo cimee jiraata; waan na gammachiisu hundas nan hojjedha’ nan jedha.
11 calling a bird from the east, and from a land afar off, for the things which I have planned: I have spoken, and brought [him]; I have created and made [him]; I have brought him, and prospered his way.
Baʼa biiftuutii allaattii waa adamsitu, lafa fagootii immoo nama kaayyoo koo fiixaan baasu nan waama. Ani waanan dubbadhe nan guuta; waanan karoorfadhes nan raawwadha.
12 Listen to me, you senseless ones, that are far from righteousness:
Yaa mata jabeeyyii, isin warri qajeelummaa irraa fagoo jirtan na dhaggeeffadhaa.
13 I have brought near my righteousness, and I will not be slow with the salvation that is from me: I have given salvation in Sion to Israel for glory.
Ani qajeelummaa koo nan dhiʼeessa; innis fagoo hin jiru; fayyisuun koos hin barfatu. Ani Xiyooniif fayyina, Israaʼeliif immoo ulfina koo nan kenna.
