Esias 41
1 Hold a feast to me, you islands: for the princes shall renew [their] strength: let them draw near and speak together: then let them declare judgment.
“ദ്വീപുകളേ, എന്റെമുമ്പിൽ നിശ്ശബ്ദരായിരിക്കുക! രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ ശക്തി പുതുക്കട്ടെ! അവർ അടുത്തുവന്ന് സംസാരിക്കട്ടെ; ന്യായവാദത്തിനായി നമുക്കൊരുമിച്ചുകൂടാം.
2 Who raised up righteousness from the east, [and] called it to his feet, so that it should go? shall appoint [it] an adversary of Gentiles, and shall dismay kings, and bury their swords in the earth, and cast forth their bows and arrows as sticks?
“പൂർവദിക്കിൽനിന്ന് ഒരുവനെ ഉണർത്തി, നീതിയിൽ അവനെ ആഹ്വാനംചെയ്ത് തന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ ആക്കിയത് ആര്? അവിടന്ന് രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളെ അവന്റെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു രാജാക്കന്മാരെ അവന്റെ മുന്നിൽ കീഴ്പ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. അവൻ അവരെ തന്റെ വാളിനാൽ പൊടിപോലെയാക്കുന്നു തന്റെ വില്ലിനാൽ അവരെ പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന പതിരുപോലെയാക്കുന്നു.
3 And he shall pursue them; the way of his feet shall proceed in peace.
തന്റെ പാദങ്ങൾ പതിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത പാതയിലൂടെ അവൻ അവരെ പിൻതുടരുന്നു, പരിക്കേൽക്കാതെ മുന്നോട്ടുപോകുന്നു,
4 Who has wrought and done these things? he has called it who called it from the generations of old; I God, the first and to [all] futurity, I AM.
ആദ്യത്തെ തലമുറമുതൽ അവരെ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തി, ഇതു പ്രവർത്തിച്ച് പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചത് ആരാണ്? ഞാനാണ് യഹോവ—അതിൽ ആദ്യത്തേതിനോടും അവസാനത്തേതിനോടും അങ്ങനെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചത്!”
5 The nations saw, and feared; the ends of the earth drew near, and came together,
അതുകണ്ടു ദ്വീപുകൾ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു; ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതികൾ വിറകൊള്ളുന്നു. അവർ സമീപിക്കുന്നു, മുന്നോട്ടുവരുന്നു.
6 every one judging for his neighbor and [that] to assist his brother: and one will say,
അവർ പരസ്പരം സഹായിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരോട് “ശക്തരായിരിക്കുക,” എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
7 The artificer has become strong, and the coppersmith that smites with the hammer, [and] forges also: sometimes he will say, It is a piece well joined: they have fastened them with nails; they will fix them, and they shall not be moved.
അങ്ങനെ ഇരുമ്പുപണിക്കാരൻ സ്വർണപ്പണിക്കാരനെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, കൂടംകൊണ്ട് തല്ലി മിനുസപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവർ അടകല്ലിൽ അടിക്കുന്നവരെ പ്രചോദിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. കൂട്ടിവിളക്കുന്നവരോട് ഒരാൾ, “നന്നായി” എന്നു വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. വീണുപോകാതിരിക്കാൻ ഒരുവൻ വിഗ്രഹത്തിന് ആണിയടിച്ചുറപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
8 But you, Israel, are my servant Jacob, and he whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraam, whom I have loved:
“എന്നാൽ നീയോ, എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇസ്രായേലേ, ഞാൻ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യാക്കോബേ, എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതികളേ,
9 whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and from the high places of it I have called you, and said to you, You are my servant; I have chosen you, and I have not forsaken you.
‘നീ എന്റെ ദാസൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, നിരസിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞില്ല,’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട്, ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതികളിൽനിന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എടുക്കുകയും അതിന്റെ വിദൂരസീമകളിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വിളിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
10 Fear not; for I am with you: wander not; for I am your God, who have strengthened you; and I have helped you, and have established you with my just right hand.
അതുകൊണ്ട് ഭയപ്പെടരുത്, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുണ്ടല്ലോ; ഉത്കണ്ഠപ്പെടരുത്, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവമാണല്ലോ. ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ബലപ്പെടുത്തുകയും നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും; എന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വലംകരത്താൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ താങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളും.
11 Behold, all your adversaries shall be ashamed and confounded; for they shall be as if they were not: and all your opponents shall perish.
“നിന്നോടു കോപിക്കുന്നവർ എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിതരും അപമാനിതരും ആകും, നിശ്ചയം; നിന്നോട് എതിർക്കുന്നവർ ഒന്നുമില്ലാതെയായി നശിച്ചുപോകും.
12 You shall seek them, and you shall not find the men who shall insolently rage against you: for they shall be as if they were not, and they that war against you shall not be.
നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നീ അന്വേഷിക്കും, എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ അവരെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല. നിന്നോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്യുന്നവർ നാമമാത്രരാകും.
13 For I am your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you,
നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്ന ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വലതുകൈ പിടിച്ച്, നിന്നോട് ‘ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും’ എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
14 Fear not, Jacob, [and you] Israel few in number; I have helped you, says your God, he that redeems you, O Israel.
കൃമിയായ യാക്കോബേ, ഇസ്രായേൽജനമേ, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട, ഞാൻതന്നെ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും,” എന്നു നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനുമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
15 Behold, I have made you as new saw-shaped threshing wheels of a waggon; and you shall thresh the mountains, and beat the hills to powder, and make [them] as chaff:
“ഇതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പുതിയതും മൂർച്ചയുള്ളതും നിരവധി പല്ലുകളുള്ളതുമായ ഒരു മെതിവണ്ടിയാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. നീ പർവതങ്ങളെ മെതിച്ചു പൊടിയാക്കും, കുന്നുകളെ പതിരാക്കിയും മാറ്റും.
16 and you shall winnow [them], and the wind shall carry them away, and a tempest shall scatter them: but you shall rejoice in the holy ones of Israel.
നീ അവയെ പാറ്റും; കാറ്റ് അവയെ പറപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകും, കൊടുങ്കാറ്റ് അവയെ ചിതറിക്കും. എന്നാൽ നീ യഹോവയിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുകയും ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
17 And the poor and the needy shall exult; for [when] they shall seek water, and there shall be none, [and] their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord God, I the God of Israel will hear, and will not forsake them:
“ദരിദ്രരും നിരാലംബരും വെള്ളം തെരയുന്നു, ഒട്ടും ലഭിക്കായ്കയാൽ അവരുടെ നാവു ദാഹത്താൽ വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയായ ഞാൻതന്നെ അവർക്ക് ഉത്തരം നൽകും; ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ ഞാൻ അവരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ല.
18 but I will open rivers on the mountains, and fountains in the midst of plains: I will make the desert pools of water, and a thirsty land watercourses.
ഞാൻ തരിശുമലകളിൽ നദികളെയും താഴ്വരകൾക്കു നടുവിൽ അരുവികളെയും തുറക്കും. ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയെ ജലാശയമാക്കും, വരണ്ടദേശത്തെ നീരുറവയായി മാറ്റും.
19 I will plant in the dry land the cedar and box, the myrtle and cypress, and white poplar:
ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ദേവദാരു, ഖദിരമരം, കൊഴുന്ത്, ഒലിവ് എന്നീ വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ നടും. ഞാൻ തരിശുഭൂമിയിൽ സരളമരവും പൈനും പുന്നയും വെച്ചുപിടിപ്പിക്കും.
20 that they may see, and know, and perceive, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has wrought these [works], and the Holy One of Israel has displayed [them].
യഹോവയുടെ കൈ ഇതു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു എന്നും ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ഇതിനെ നിർമിച്ചു എന്നും മനുഷ്യർ കാണുകയും അറിയുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നതിനും, ചിന്തിക്കുന്നതിനും വിവേകം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നതിനുംതന്നെ.
21 Your judgment draws near, says the Lord God; your counsels have drawn near, says the King of Jacob.
“വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങൾ വ്യവഹാരം ബോധിപ്പിക്കുക,” യഹോവ കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു. “നിങ്ങളുടെ വാദമുഖങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുക,” യാക്കോബിന്റെ രാജാവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
22 Let them draw near, and declare to you what things shall come to pass; or tell [us] what things were of old, and we will apply [our] understanding, and we shall know what are the last and the future things:
“സംഭവിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നതെന്തെന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ നമ്മെ അറിയിക്കട്ടെ. ഭൂതകാല സംഭവങ്ങൾ എന്തെല്ലാമെന്നു നമ്മോടു പറയുക, നാം അവയെ പരിഗണിച്ച് അവയുടെ പരിണതഫലം എന്തെന്ന് അറിയട്ടെ. അഥവാ, ഇനിയെന്താണ് സംഭവിക്കാനിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് നമ്മെ അറിയിക്കുക.
23 tell us, declare you to us the things that are coming on at the last [time], and we shall know that you are gods: do good, and do evil, and we shall wonder, and see at the same time
നിങ്ങൾ ദേവതകൾ എന്നു നാം അറിയേണ്ടതിനു ഭാവിയിൽ സംഭവിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നവ എന്തെന്നു നമ്മോടു പറയുക. നാം കണ്ടു വിസ്മയിക്കുകയും ഭയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിനു നന്മയെങ്കിലും തിന്മയെങ്കിലും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുക.
24 whence you are, and whence is your works: they have chosen you an abomination out of the earth.
എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഒന്നുമില്ലായ്മയിലും കീഴേയാണ്, നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി തികച്ചും അർഥശൂന്യംതന്നെ; നിങ്ങളെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നവർ മ്ലേച്ഛരാണ്.
25 But I have raised up him that [comes] from the north, and him that [comes] from the rising of the sun: they shall be called by my name: let the princes come, and as potter's clay, and as a potter treading clay, so shall you be trodden down.
“ഞാൻ ഉത്തരദിക്കിൽനിന്ന് ഒരുവനെ ഉണർത്തി; അവൻ ഇതാ വരുന്നു— സൂര്യോദയദിക്കിൽനിന്ന് അവൻ എന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും. കുമ്മായക്കൂട്ടുപോലെയും കുശവൻ കളിമണ്ണു ചവിട്ടിക്കുഴയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും അവൻ ഭരണാധിപരെ ചവിട്ടിമെതിക്കും.
26 For who will declare the things from the beginning, that we may know also the former things, and we will say that they are true? there is no one that speaks beforehand, nor anyone that hears your words.
ഞങ്ങൾ ഇതെല്ലാം മുൻകൂട്ടി അറിയേണ്ടതിന് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ, ‘അവിടന്ന് നീതിമാൻ,’ എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ മുമ്പേതന്നെ പറയേണ്ടതിന്, ആരംഭംമുതൽതന്നെ ഇതെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതാരാണ്? ആരും ഇതെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചില്ല, ആരും ഇതു പ്രവചിച്ചില്ല, നിങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് ആരും ഒരു വാക്കും കേട്ടിരുന്നില്ല.
27 I will give dominion to Sion, and will comfort Jerusalem by the way.
പണ്ടുതന്നെ ഞാൻ സീയോനോട്: ‘ഇതാ, അവർ!’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ജെറുശലേമിനു ഞാൻ ഒരു സദ്വാർത്താദൂതനെ നൽകി.
28 For from among the nations, behold, [there was] no one; and of their idols there was none to declare [anything]: and if I should ask them, Whence are you? they could not answer me.
ഞാൻ നോക്കി, ഒരുത്തനുമില്ലായിരുന്നു— ഞാൻ അവരോടു ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നതിന്, ദേവതകളുടെയിടയിൽ ഉപദേശം നൽകുന്ന ആരുംതന്നെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
29 For [these] are your makers, [as you think], and they that cause you to err in vain.
ഇതാ, അവരെല്ലാവരും വ്യാജരാണ്! അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ വ്യർഥം; അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ കാറ്റും സംഭ്രമവുംതന്നെ.
