Esias 32
1 For, behold, a righteous king shall reign, and princes shall govern with judgment.
Eis ahi está que reinará um Rei em justiça, e dominarão os principes segundo o juizo.
2 And a man shall hide his words, and be hidden, as from rushing water, and shall appear in Sion as a rushing river, glorious in a thirsty land.
E será aquelle Varão como um esconderijo contra o vento, e um refugio contra a tempestade, como ribeiros d'aguas em logares seccos, e como a sombra d'uma grande rocha em terra sedenta.
3 And they shall no more trust in men, but they shall incline their ears to hear.
E os olhos dos que veem não olharão para traz: e os ouvidos dos que ouvem estarão attentos.
4 And the heart of the weak ones shall attend to hear, and the stammering tongues shall soon learn to speak peace.
E o coração dos imprudentes entenderá a sabedoria; e a lingua dos gagos estará prompta para fallar distinctamente.
5 And they shall no more at all tell a fool to rule, and your servants shall no more at all say, Be silent.
Ao louco nunca mais se chamará liberal; e do avarento nunca mais se dirá que é generoso.
6 For the fool shall speak foolish words, and his heart shall meditate vanities, and to perform lawless deeds and to speak error against the Lord, to scatter hungry souls, and he will cause the thirsty souls to be empty.
Porque o louco falla louquices, e o seu coração obra a iniquidade, para usar d'hypocrisia, e para fallar erros contra o Senhor, para deixar vazia a alma do faminto, e fazer com que o sedento venha a ter falta de beber.
7 For the counsel of the wicked will devise iniquity, to destroy the poor with unjust words, and ruin the cause of the poor in judgment.
Tambem todos os instrumentos do avarento são maus: elle maquina invenções malignas, para destruir os afflictos com palavras falsas, como tambem ao juizo, quando o pobre chega a fallar.
8 But the godly have devised wise [measures], and this counsel shall stand.
Mas o liberal projecta liberalidade, e pela liberalidade está em pé.
9 Rise up, you rich women, and hear my voice; you confident daughters, listen to my words.
Levantae-vos, mulheres que estaes em repouso, e ouvi a minha voz: e vós, filhas, que estaes tão seguras, inclinae os ouvidos ás minhas palavras.
10 Remember for a full year in pain, yet with hope: the vintage has been cut off; it has ceased, it shall by no means come again.
Muitos dias de mais do anno vireis a ser turbadas, ó filhas que estaes tão seguras; porque a vindima se acabará, e a colheita não virá.
11 Be amazed, be pained, you confident ones: strip you, bare yourselves, gird your loins;
Tremei vós que estaes em repouso, e turbae-vos vós, filhas, que estaes tão seguras: despi-vos, e ponde-vos nuas, e cingi com sacco os vossoss lombos.
12 and beat your breasts, because of the pleasant field, and the fruit of the vine.
Lamentar-se-ha sobre os peitos, sobre os campos desejaveis, e sobre as vides fructuosas.
13 [As for] the land of my people, the thorn and grass shall come upon [it], and joy shall be removed from every house.
Sobre a terra do meu povo virão espinheiros e sarças; como tambem sobre todas as casas de alegria, na cidade que anda pulando de prazer.
14 [As for] the rich city, the houses are deserted; they shall abandon the wealth of the city, [and] the pleasant houses: and the villages shall be caves for ever, the joy of wild asses, shepherds' pastures;
Porque o palacio será desamparado, o arroido da cidade cessará: e Ophel e as torres da guarda servirão de cavernas eternamente, para alegria dos jumentos montezes, e para pasto dos gados;
15 until the Spirit shall come upon you from on high, and Chermel shall be desert, and Chermel shall be counted for a forest.
Até que se derrame sobre nós o espirito do alto: então o deserto se tornará em campo fertil, e o campo fertil será reputado por um bosque.
16 Then judgment shall abide in the wilderness, and righteousness shall dwell in Carmel.
E o juizo habitará no deserto, e a justiça morará no campo fertil.
17 And the works of righteousness shall be peace; and righteousness shall ensure rest, and [the righteous] shall be confident for ever.
E o effeito da justiça será paz, e a operação da justiça repouso e segurança, para sempre.
18 And his people shall inhabit a city of peace, and dwell in [it] in confidence, and they shall rest with wealth.
E o meu povo habitará em morada de paz, e em moradas bem seguras, e em logares quietos de descanço.
19 And if the hail should come down, it shall not come upon you; and they that dwell in the forests shall be in confidence, as those in the plain country.
Mas, descendo ao bosque, saraivará e a cidade se abaixará inteiramente.
20 Blessed are they that sow by every water, where the ox and ass tread.
Bemaventurados vós os que semeaes sobre todas as aguas: e para lá enviaes o pé do boi e do jumento.
