Esias 30
1 Woe to the apostate children, says the Lord: you have framed counsel, not by me, and covenants not by my Spirit, to add sins to sins:
Wehe den abtrünnigen Kindern, spricht der HERR, die ohne mich ratschlagen und ohne meinen Geist Schutz suchen, zu häufen eine Sünde über die andere,
2 [even] they that proceed to go down into Egypt, but they have not enquired of me, that they might be helped by Pharao, and protected by the Egyptians.
die hinabziehen nach Ägypten und fragen meinen Mund nicht, daß sie sich stärken mit der Macht Pharaos und sich beschirmen unter dem Schatten Ägyptens.
3 For the protection of Pharaoh shall be to you a disgrace, and [there shall be] a reproach to them that trust in Egypt.
Denn es soll euch die Stärke Pharaos zur Schande geraten und der Schutz unter dem Schatten Ägyptens zum Hohn.
4 For there are princes in Tanes, evil messengers.
Ihre Fürsten sind wohl zu Zoan gewesen und ihre Botschaft gen Hanes kommen,
5 In vain shall they labor [in seeking] to a people, which shall not profit them for help, but [shall be] for a shame and reproach.
aber sie müssen doch alle zuschanden werden über dem Volk, das ihnen nicht nütze sein kann, weder zur Hilfe noch sonst zu nutz, sondern nur zur Schande und Spott.
6 THE VISION OF THE QUADRUPEDS IN THE DESERT. In affliction and distress, [where are] the lion and lion's whelp, thence [come] also asps, and the young of flying asps, [there shall they be] who bore their wealth on asses and camels to a nation which shall not profit them.
Dies ist die Last über die Tiere, so gegen Mittag ziehen, da Löwen und Löwinnen sind, ja Ottern und feurige fliegende Drachen, im Lande der Trübsal und Angst: Sie führen ihr Gut auf der Füllen Rücken und ihre Schätze auf der Kamele Höcker zum Volk, das ihnen nicht nütze sein kann.
7 The Egyptians shall help you utterly in vain: tell them, This your consolation is vain.
Denn Ägypten ist nichts, und ihr Helfen ist vergeblich. Darum predige ich davon also: Die Rahab wird stille dazu sitzen.
8 Now then sit down and write these words on a tablet, and in a book; for these things shall be for [many long] days, and even for ever.
So gehe nun hin und schreib es ihnen vor auf eine Tafel und zeichne es in ein Buch, daß es bleibe für und für ewiglich.
9 For the people is disobedient, false children, who would not hear the law of God:
Denn es ist ein ungehorsam Volk und verlogene Kinder, die nicht hören wollen des HERRN Gesetz,
10 who say to the prophets, Report not to us; and to them that see visions, Speak [them] not to us, but speak and report to us another error;
sondern sagen zu den Sehern: Ihr sollt nicht sehen! und zu den Schauern: Ihr sollt uns nicht schauen die rechte Lehre; prediget uns aber sanft, schauet uns Täuscherei!
11 and turn us aside from this way; remove from us this path, and remove from us the oracle of Israel.
Weichet vom Wege, macht euch von der Bahn; laßt den Heiligen in Israel aufhören bei uns!
12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, Because you have refused to obey these words, and have trusted in falsehood; and because you have murmured, and been confident in this respect:
Darum spricht der Heilige in Israel also: Weil ihr dies Wort verwerfet und verlasset euch auf Frevel und Mutwillen und trotzet darauf,
13 therefore shall this sin be to you as a wall suddenly falling when a strong city has been taken, of which the fall is very near at hand.
so soll euch solche Untugend sein wie ein Riß an einer hohen Mauer, wenn es beginnet zu rieseln, die plötzlich unversehens einfällt und zerschmettert,
14 And the fall thereof shall be as the breaking of an earthen vessel, [as] small fragments of a pitcher, so that you should not find among them a sherd, with which you might take up fire, and with which you should draw a little water.
als wenn ein Topf zerschmettert würde, den man zerstößt und sein nicht schonet, also daß man von seinen Stücken nicht eine Scherbe findet, darin man Feuer hole vom Herde, oder Wasser schöpfe aus einem Brunnen.
15 Thus says the Lord, the Holy Lord of Israel; When you shall turn and mourn, then you shall be saved; and you shall know where you were, when you did trust in vanities: [then] your strength became vain, yet you would not listen:
Denn so spricht der HERR HERR, der Heilige in Israel: Wenn ihr stille bliebet, so würde euch geholfen; durch Stillesein und Hoffen würdet ihr stark sein. Aber ihr wollt nicht
16 but you said, We will flee upon horses; therefore shall you flee: and, We will be aided by swift riders; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
und sprechet: Nein, sondern auf Rossen wollen wir fliehen (darum werdet ihr flüchtig sein) und auf Läufern wollen wir reiten (darum werden euch eure Verfolger übereilen).
17 A thousand shall flee because of the voice of one, and many shall flee on account of the voice of five; until you be left as a signal-post upon a mountain, and as one bearing an ensign upon a hill.
Denn euer tausend werden fliehen vor eines einigen Schelten, ja vor fünfen werdet ihr alle fliehen; bis daß ihr überbleibet wie ein Mastbaum oben auf einem Berge, und wie ein Panier oben auf einem Hügel.
18 And the Lord will again wait, that he may pity you, and will therefore be exalted that he may have mercy upon you: because the Lord your God is a judge: blessed are they that stay themselves upon him.
Darum harret der HERR, daß er euch gnädig sei, und hat sich aufgemacht, daß er sich euer erbarme; denn der HERR ist ein Gott des Gerichts; wohl allen, die sein harren!
19 For the holy people shall dwell in Sion: and [whereas] Jerusalem has wept bitterly, [saying], Pity me; he shall pity you: when he perceived the voice of your cry, he listened to you.
Denn das Volk Zions wird zu Jerusalem wohnen; du wirst nicht weinen: Er wird dir gnädig sein, wenn du rufest; er wird dir antworten, sobald er's höret.
20 And [though] the Lord shall give you the bread of affliction and scant water, yet they that cause you to err shall no more at all draw near to you; for your eyes shall see those that cause you to err,
Und der HERR wird euch in Trübsal Brot und in Ängsten Wasser geben. Denn er wird deinen Lehrer nicht mehr lassen wegfliehen, sondern deine Augen werden deinen Lehrer sehen,
21 and your ears shall hear the words of them that went after you to lead you astray, who say, This [is] the way, let us walk in it, whether to the right or to the left.
und deine Ohren werden hören das Wort hinter dir sagen also her: Dies ist der Weg, denselbigen gehet; sonst weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken!
22 And you shall pollute the plated idols, and you shall grind to powder the gilt ones, and shall scatter them as the water of a removed [woman], and you shall thrust them forth as dung.
Und ihr werdet entweihen eure übersilberten Götzen und die güldenen Kleider eurer Bilder und werdet sie wegwerfen wie einen Unflat und zu ihnen sagen: Hinaus!
23 Then shall there be rain to the seed of your land; and the bread of the fruit of your land shall be plenteous and rich: and your cattle shall feed in that day in a fertile and spacious place.
So wird er deinem Samen, den du auf den Acker gesäet hast, Regen geben und Brot von des Ackers Einkommen, und desselbigen volle Genüge. Und dein Vieh wird sich zu der Zeit weiden in einer weiten Aue.
24 Your bulls and your oxen that till the ground, shall eat chaff mixed with winnowed barley.
Die Ochsen und Füllen, so den Acker bauen, werden gemenget Futter essen, welches geworfelt ist mit der Wurfschaufel und Wanne.
25 And there shall be upon every lofty mountain and upon every high hill, water running in that day, when many shall perish, and when the towers shall fall.
Und es werden auf allen großen Bergen und auf allen großen Hügeln zerteilte Wasserströme gehen zur Zeit der großen Schlacht, wenn die Türme fallen werden.
26 And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold in the day when the Lord shall heal the breach of his people, and shall heal the pain of your wound.
Und des Mondes Schein wird sein wie der Sonnen Schein, und der Sonnen Schein wird siebenmal heller sein denn jetzt, zu der Zeit, wenn der HERR den Schaden seines Volkes verbinden und seine Wunden heilen wird.
27 Behold, the name of the Lord comes after a [long] time, burning wrath: the word of his lips is with glory, a word full of anger, and the anger of his wrath shall devour as fire.
Siehe, des HERRN Name kommt von ferne, sein Zorn brennet und ist sehr schwer, seine Lippen sind voll Grimmes, und seine Zunge wie ein verzehrend Feuer
28 And his breath, as rushing water in a valley, shall reach as far as the neck, and be divided, to confound the nations for [their] vain error: error also shall pursue them, and overtake them.
und sein Odem wie eine Wasserflut, die bis an den Hals reicht, zu zerstreuen die Heiden, bis sie zunichte werden, und die Völker mit einem Zaum in ihren Backen hin und her treibe.
29 Must you always rejoice, and go into my holy places continually, as they that keep a feast? and must you go with a pipe, as those that rejoice, into the mountain of the Lord, to the God of Israel?
Da werdet ihr singen wie zu Nacht eines heiligen Festes und euch von Herzen freuen, als wenn man mit der Pfeife gehet zum Berge des HERRN, zum Hort Israels.
30 And the Lord shall make his glorious voice to be heard, and the wrath of his arm, to make a display with wrath and anger and devouring flame: he shall lighten terribly, and [his wrath shall be] as water and violent hail.
Und der HERR wird seine herrliche Stimme schallen lassen, daß man sehe seinen ausgereckten Arm mit zornigem Dräuen und mit Flammen des verzehrenden Feuers, mit Strahlen, mit starkem Regen und mit Hagel.
31 For by the voice of the Lord the Assyrians shall be overcome, [even] by the stroke wherewith he shall strike them.
Denn Assur wird erschrecken vor der Stimme des HERRN, der ihn mit der Rute schlägt.
32 And it shall happen to him from every side, [that] they from whom their hope of assistance was, in which he trusted, themselves shall war against him in turn with drums and with harp.
Denn es wird die Rute ganz durchdringen und wohl treffen, wenn sie der HERR über ihn führen wird, mit Pauken und Harfen, und allenthalben wider sie streiten.
33 For you shall be required before [your] time: has it been prepared for you also to reign? nay, God has [prepared for you] a deep trench, wood piled, fire and much wood: the wrath of the Lord [shall be] as a trench kindled with sulphur.
Denn die Grube ist von gestern her zugerichtet; ja, dieselbige ist auch dem Könige bereitet, tief und weit genug; so ist die Wohnung drinnen, Feuer und Holz die Menge. Der Odem des HERRN wird sie anzünden wie ein Schwefelstrom.
