< Esias 28 >
1 Woe to the crown of pride, the hirelings of Ephraim, the flower that has fallen from the glory of the top of the fertile mountain, they that are drunken without wine.
Hankàñe amy sabaka-pisengea’ o mpijike’ i Efraimeoy, naho amy fihearam-boñe’e nifanjaka ami’ty hatsomerentsere’ey, i an-doham-bavatane vondra’ o niopo-divaioy.
2 Behold, the anger of the Lord is strong and severe, as descending hail where there is no shelter, violently descending; as a great body of water sweeping away the soil, he shall make rest for the land.
Heheke te manañe ty maozatse naho ty fatratse t’i Talè, hoe tio-bein-kavandran-gadaboñe, tangololahy mampianto, hoe fisorotombahan-drano mienene, ty hamokovokoam-pita’e aze an-kasiahañe mb’an-tane mb’eo.
3 The crown of pride, the hirelings of Ephraim, shall be beaten down with the hands and with the feet.
Ho lialiàm-pandia i sabaka niebotsebora’ o mpijike mena’ i Efraimeoy.
4 And the fading flower of the glorious hope on the top of the high mountain shall be as the early fig; he that sees it, before he takes it into his hand, will desire to swallow it down.
Le i voñe an-doham-bavatane vondrakey ro hIheatse amy hasoa-vinta’ey, naho i sakoa loham-boan’ asaray, ie vata’e isake naho am-pità’e ao, ro habotse’e.
5 In that day the Lord of hosts shall be the crown of hope, the woven [crown] of glory, to the remnant of the people.
Iehovà’ i Màroy ty ho halam- boñem-bolonahetse amy andro zay, Sabaka fanjaka ho a’ ondaty sehanga’eo;
6 They shall be left in the spirit of judgment for judgment, and for the strength of them that hinder slaying.
naho ty arofo tò amy miambesatse an-jakay, Vaho haozarañe ho amo manebañe i hotakotake an-dalam-beiy.
7 For these have trespassed through wine; they have erred through strong drink: the priest and the prophet are mad through strong drink, they are swallowed up by reason of wine, they have staggered through drunkenness; they have erred: this is [their] vision.
Avembèn-divay naho ampidaleandaleañen-toake ka retoañe: ampisiotsioren-toake ty mpisoroñe naho ty mpitoky; alihen-divay iereo, avembèn-toake; mitoantoañe añ’aroñaroñe iereo, mikolitrekolitre t’ie mizaka.
8 A curse shall devour this counsel, for this [is their] counsel for the sake of covetousness.
Kanao lifo-deotse naho loa o fandambañañeo, le tsy aman-toetse malio ka.
9 To whom have we reported evils? and to whom have we reported a message? [even to those] that are weaned from the milk, who are drawn from the breast.
Ia ty hañòha’e hilala, naho ia ty hampalangese’e i taliliy? O vaho notàñe amy rononoio hao? O vaho nasitake am-patroao hao?
10 Expect you affliction on affliction, hope upon hope: yet a little, [and] yet a little,
Fa, fañè manovom-pañè, fañè am-pañè, patetse am-patetse, patetse am-patetse, kede atoy, kede aroy.
11 by reason of the contemptuous [words] of the lips, by means of another language: for they shall speak to this people, saying to them,
Toe am-pivimby mibedobedo, naho am-pamelen’ ambahiny, ty hisaontsia’e am’ondatio,
12 This is the rest to him that is hungry, and this is the calamity: but they would not hear.
ie nanoeñe ty hoe: Fitofàñe toy; ampitofa o mokotseo; zao o fanintsiñañeo; fe tsy nañaoñe iereo.
13 Therefore the oracle of God shall be to them affliction on affliction, hope on hope, yet a little, [and] yet a little, that they may go and fall backward; and they shall be crushed and shall be in danger, and shall be taken.
Aa le hoe ty hitsara’ Iehovà: Fañè tovoñam-pañè, fañè am-pañè, patetse am-patetse, patetse am-patetse, kede ty atoy, kede ty aroy. Soa te ie mandeha iereo ro hitoboly, ho pozaheñe, ho fandriheñe, vaho ho tavaneñe.
14 Therefore hear you the word of the Lord, you afflicted men, and you princes of this people that is in Jerusalem.
Aa le janjiño ty tsara’ Iehovà ry mpanivetive mifeleke ondaty e Ierosalaime ao retoa.
15 Because you have said, We have made a covenant with Hades, and agreements with death; if the rushing storm should pass, it shall not come upon us: we have made falsehood our hope, and by falsehood shall we be protected: (Sheol )
Ami’ty natao’ areo ty hoe: nilahatse amy Havilasiy zahay, vaho nifañina amy Tsikeokeokey; le ie misoroke atoy ty kiria mamaoke le tsy homb’ama’ay izay; fa ipalira’ay ty fandañirañe, itsoloha’ay i remborake; (Sheol )
16 Therefore thus says the Lord, [even] the Lord, Behold, I lay for the foundations of Sion a costly stone, a choice, a corner-stone, a precious [stone], for its foundations; and he that believes [on him] shall by no means be ashamed.
Aa le hoe t’i Talè Iehovà: Heheke te mampipoke faham-bato e Tsione eo iraho, vato tsinòke; vaton-kotsoke sarotse, soa fijadoñe; Tsy ho tsòtseke ty mpiato ama’e.
17 And I will cause judgment [to be] for hope, and my compassion shall be for [just] measures, and you that trust vainly in falsehood [shall fall]: for the storm shall by no means pass by you,
Hanoeko talim-panjeheañe ty hatò, naho havantañañe ty fampimiràñe, ho faopaohen-kavandra ty fipaliram-bodiake, vaho handoparan-drano i fiampirañey.
18 except it also take away your covenant of death, and your trust in Hades shall by no means stand: if the rushing storm should come upon you, you shall be beaten down by it. (Sheol )
Ho mongoreñe ty fañina’ areo amy Havilasy, tsy hijadoñe ty filahara’ areo amy Tsikeokeoke; ie mitoañe mb’eo ty kiria mamaoke, le ho lialià’e nahareo. (Sheol )
19 Whenever it shall pass by, it shall take you; morning by morning it shall pass by in the day, and in the night there shall be an evil hope. Learn to hear,
Ndra mbiambia ty hirangà’e, le ho fihine’e nahareo, fa boak’ andro ty hitoaña’e, handro an-kale; vaho ho vata’e maharevendreveñe ty andrendrehañe ty tali’e.
20 you that are distressed; we can’t fight, but we are ourselves too weak for you to be gathered.
Loho bory ty fandreañe, tsy mete ihitsiañe, kede ty am-pohe’ i bodoy tsy mete isafononohañe.
21 The Lord shall rise up as a mountain of ungodly [men], and shall be in the valley of Gabaon; he shall perform his works with wrath, [even] a work of bitterness, and his wrath shall deal strangely, and his destruction shall be strange.
Hiongake hoe tam-bohi-Peratsime t’Iehovà, hitroñe manahake tam-bohi’ i Gibone, hanoe’e ty fitoloña’e —tolon-draha boidy, hihentseña’e ty sata’e—sata àlike!
22 Therefore do not you rejoice, neither let your bands be made strong; for I have heard of works finished and cut short by the Lord of hosts, which he will execute upon all the earth.
Ie amy zao, apoho ty fanivetiveañe, hera ho fihineñe o tali-randra’ areoo, fa tsinanoko amy Talè, Iehovà’ i Màroy te nitseizeñe fandrotsahañe ty tane bey toy
23 Listen, and hear my voice; attend, and hear my words.
Mijanjiña naho tsendreño ty feoko; haoño vaho janjiño o entakoo.
24 Will the plowman plow all the day? or will he prepare the seed beforehand, before he tills the ground?
Mitrabake nainai’e hao ty mpitongy? ho troboe’e naho ho fantaña’e nainai’e hao i taney?
25 Does he not, when he has levelled the surface thereof, then sow the small black poppy, or cumin, and afterward sow wheat, and barley, and millet, and bread-corn in your borders?
Ie fa nampirae’e i taney, tsy handraraha’e vañemba hao naho amitseza’e vihinja? Tongise’e am-piriritañe ty vare-bolè, le an-toe’e eo ty vare-horodè, vaho añ’olotse ey ty kosemete.
26 So you shall be chastened by the judgment of your God, and shall rejoice.
Amy t’ie anareko hisafiry, mañòke aze t’i Andrianañahare’e.
27 For the black poppy is not cleansed with harsh treatment, nor will a wagon-wheel pass over the cumin; but the black poppy is threshed with a rod, and the cumin shall be eaten with bread;
Tsy lisanem-baoñe ty vañemba, tsy aodiñ’ an-daròn-tsarete ty vihinja, fe kimokimohen-doda ty vañemba naho lisaneñ’ akalo ty vihinja.
28 for I will not be angry with you for ever, neither shall the voice of my anger crush you.
Demoheñe ty vare-bolè hanoañe mofo, fa tsy lisaneñe nainai’e, eo ty mandialia aze an-tsarete reketse soavala ambone’e eo, fe tsy hotomomohe’e.
29 And these signs came forth from the Lord of hosts. Take counsel, exalt vain comfort.
Boak’ am’ Iehovà’ i Màroy ka izay, miambake ty fanoroa’e, tsy amañ’ohatse ty hihi’e.
