< Esias 23 >
1 THE WORD CONCERNING TYRE. Howl, you ships of Carthage; for she has perished, and [men] no longer arrive from the land of the Citians: she is led captive.
Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ itũũra rĩa Turo: Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ marikabu cia Tarishishi, ta girĩkai. Nĩgũkorwo itũũra rĩa Turo nĩrĩanange, rĩgatigwo rĩtarĩ nyũmba kana gĩcukĩro kĩa marikabu. Ũhoro ũcio nĩũmakinyĩire marĩ o kũu bũrũri wa Kitimu.
2 To whom are the dwellers in the island become like, the merchants of Phoenice, passing over the sea
Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ andũ a gĩcigĩrĩra, na inyuĩ onjorithia a Sidoni, ta kirai o inyuĩ mũtongetio nĩ andũ arĩa mageragĩra iria-inĩ.
3 in great waters, a generation of merchants? as when the harvest is gathered in, [so are] these traders with the nations.
Kũu maaĩ-inĩ maingĩ nĩkuo kwageragĩrio ngano ya Shihoru, namo magetha ma Nili nĩmo maarĩ uumithio wa itũũra rĩa Turo, narĩo rĩgĩtuĩka ndũnyũ ya ndũrĩrĩ.
4 Be ashamed, O Sidon: the sea has said, yes, the strength of the sea has said, I have not travailed, nor brought forth, nor have I brought up young men, nor reared virgins.
Atĩrĩrĩ wee Sidoni, o nawe, kĩĩhitho kĩrũmu kĩa iria-inĩ, conokai, nĩgũkorwo iria nĩrĩarĩtie rĩkoiga atĩrĩ: “Niĩ ndirĩ ndagĩa na ruo rwa kũrũmwo, kana ngaciara; ndirĩ ndaarera aanake, kana ngarera airĩtu.”
5 Moreover when it shall be heard in Egypt, sorrow shall seize them for Tyre.
Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ũhoro ũcio ũgaakinya bũrũri wa Misiri, andũ akuo nĩmakaagĩa na ruo rũnene mũno maigua ũhoro ũcio wa Turo.
6 Depart you to Carthage; howl, you that dwell in this island.
Atĩrĩrĩ, ringai mũthiĩ mũrĩmo wa Tarishishi, ta girĩkai inyuĩ mũtũũraga kũu gĩcigĩrĩra-inĩ.
7 Was not this your pride from the beginning, before she was given up?
Rĩĩrĩ nĩrĩo itũũra rĩanyu inene rĩa ikeno cia ũrĩĩu, itũũra inene rĩa kuuma tene, o tene mũno, itũũra rĩrĩa andũ aarĩo maathiĩte na magũrũ magatũũre mabũrũri ma andũ a kũraya mũno?
8 Who has devised this counsel against Tyre? Is she inferior? or has she no strength? her merchants were the glorious princes of the earth.
Nũũ waciirĩire atĩ itũũra rĩa Turo rĩũkĩrĩrwo, o itũũra rĩu rĩheanaga tanji cia ũthamaki, o rĩo onjorithia a rĩo arĩ ariũ a athamaki, na endia a rĩo marĩ igweta thĩ yothe?
9 The Lord of hosts has purposed to bring down all the pride of the glorious ones, and to disgrace every glorious thing on the earth.
Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe nĩwe waciirĩire ũndũ ũcio, nĩgeetha aniine mwĩtĩĩo wa riiri wothe, na aconorithie andũ arĩa othe marĩ igweta a gũkũ thĩ.
10 Till your land; for ships no more come out of Carthage.
Atĩrĩrĩ, wee mwarĩ wa Tarishishi, thiĩ ũkarĩme bũrũri waku o ta ũrĩa kũrĩmĩtwo hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia Rũũĩ rwa Nili, tondũ rĩu ndũrĩ na gĩcukĩro kĩa marikabu rĩngĩ.
11 And your hand prevails no more by sea, which troubled kings: the Lord of hosts has given a command concerning Chanaan, to destroy the strength thereof.
Jehova nĩatambũrũkĩtie guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa iria, na agatũma mothamaki marĩo mainaine. Nĩathanĩte atĩ ciĩgitĩro iria nũmu cia Foinike cianangwo.
12 And [men] shall say, You shall no longer at all continue to insult and injure the daughter of Sidon: and if you depart to the Citians, neither there shall you have rest.
Akoiga atĩrĩ, “Wee mwarĩ gathirange wa Sidoni ikeno ciaku cia ũrĩĩu nĩ thiru, rĩu ũrĩ mũhehenje! “Ũkĩra ũringe, ũthiĩ ũkinye Kitimu; no rĩrĩ, o na kũu ndũkoona ũhurũko.”
13 And [if you depart] to the land of the Chaldeans, this also is laid waste by the Assyrians, for her wall is fallen.
Ta rora bũrũri wa Ababuloni, andũ acio rĩu maagĩĩte kĩene! Ashuri magũtuĩte gĩikaro kĩa nyamũ cia werũ; nĩmaakire mĩthiringo mĩraihu na igũrũ ya kũrĩthiũrũrũkĩria, na magĩtiga ciĩgitĩro ciao itarĩ kĩndũ, magĩtũma bũrũri ũcio wanangĩke biũ.
14 Howl, you ships of Carthage: for your strong hold is destroyed.
Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ marikabu cia Tarishishi, ta girĩkai; nĩgũkorwo gĩikaro kĩanyu nĩkĩanange.
15 And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] Tyre shall be left seventy years, as the time of a king, as the time of a man: and it shall come to pass after seventy years, [that] Tyre shall be as the song of a harlot.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo itũũra rĩa Turo nĩrĩkariganĩra mĩaka mĩrongo mũgwanja, o ta ũrĩa matukũ ma mũthamaki ũmwe maigana. No mĩaka mĩrongo mũgwanja yathira-rĩ, Turo gũgaacooka kũhaana ta mũmaraya ũrĩa ũganagwo na rwĩmbo ta ũũ:
16 Take a harp, go about, O city, you harlot that have been forgotten; play well on the harp, sing many [songs], that you may be remembered.
“Oya kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto, ũtuĩkanie itũũra inene, wee mũmaraya ũyũ ũtũũrĩte ũriganĩire; Hũũra kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto wega, ũine nyĩmbo nyingĩ, nĩgeetha ũririkanwo.”
17 And it shall come to pass after the seventy years, [that] God will visit Tyre, and she shall be again restored to her primitive state, and she shall be a mart for all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.
Mĩaka mĩrongo mũgwanja yathira-rĩ, Jehova nĩagacookerera Turo. Itũũra rĩu nĩrĩgacooka wĩra-inĩ warĩo ũcio ũrehaga uumithio ta rĩkũhũũra ũmaraya, rĩonjorithanagie na mothamaki mothe ma thĩ.
18 And her trade and her gain shall be holiness to the Lord: it shall not be gathered for them, but for those that dwell before the Lord, [even] all her trade, to eat and drink and be filled, and for a covenant [and] a memorial before the Lord.
No rĩrĩ, wonjorithia warĩo na uumithio warĩo nĩikamũrĩrwo Jehova; itikaigwo igĩĩna-inĩ kana ihithwo. Uumithio warĩo ũgaatuĩka wa arĩa matũũraga marongoragia Jehova, moonage irio nyingĩ na nguo njega.
