Esias 1
1 The vision which Esaias the son of Amos saw, which he saw against Juda, and against Jerusalem, in the reign of Ozias, and Joatham, and Achaz, and Ezekias, who reigned over Judea.
ആമോസിന്റെ മകനായ യെശയ്യാവു യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരായ ഉസ്സീയാവു, യോഥാം, ആഹാസ്, യെഹിസ്കീയാവു എന്നിവരുടെ കാലത്തു യെഹൂദയെയും യെരൂശലേമിനെയും പറ്റി ദർശിച്ച ദർശനം.
2 Hear, O heaven, and listen, O earth: for the Lord has spoken, [saying], I have begotten and reared up children, but they have rebelled against me.
ആകാശമേ, കേൾക്ക; ഭൂമിയേ, ചെവിതരിക; യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ മക്കളെ പോറ്റി വളർത്തി; അവരോ എന്നോടു മത്സരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
3 The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel does not know me, and the people has not regarded me.
കാള തന്റെ ഉടയവനെയും കഴുത തന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ പുല്തൊട്ടിയെയും അറിയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേലോ അറിയുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ ജനം ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
4 Ah sinful nation, a people full of sins, an evil seed, lawless children: you have forsaken the Lord, and provoked the Holy One of Israel.
അയ്യോ പാപമുള്ള ജാതി! അകൃത്യഭാരം ചുമക്കുന്ന ജനം! ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ സന്തതി! വഷളായി നടക്കുന്ന മക്കൾ! അവർ യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ നിരസിച്ചു പുറകോട്ടു മാറിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
5 Why should you be struck [any] more, transgressing more and more? the whole head is pained, and the whole heart sad.
ഇനി നിങ്ങളെ അടിച്ചിട്ടു എന്തു? നിങ്ങൾ അധികം അധികം പിന്മാറുകേയുള്ളു; തല മുഴുവനും ദീനവും ഹൃദയം മുഴുവനും രോഗവും പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
6 From the feet to the head, there is no soundness in them; neither wound, nor bruise, nor festering ulcer [are healed]: it is not possible to apply a plaister, nor oil, nor bandages.
അടിതൊട്ടു മുടിവരെ ഒരു സുഖവും ഇല്ല; മുറിവും ചതവും പഴുത്തവ്രണവും മാത്രമേ ഉള്ളു; അവയെ ഞെക്കി കഴുകീട്ടില്ല, വെച്ചുകെട്ടീട്ടില്ല, എണ്ണപുരട്ടി ശമിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.
7 Your land is desolate, your cities burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is made desolate, overthrown by strange nations.
നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശം ശൂന്യമായി നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ തീക്കിരയായി; നിങ്ങൾ കാൺകെ അന്യജാതിക്കാർ നിങ്ങളുടെ നാടു തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; അതു അന്യജാതിക്കാർ ഉന്മൂലനാശം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
8 The daughter of Sion shall be deserted as a tent in a vineyard, and as a storehouse of fruits in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
സീയോൻപുത്രി, മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ കുടിൽപോലെയും വെള്ളരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ മാടംപോലെയും നിരോധിച്ച പട്ടണംപോലെയും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
9 And if the Lord of Sabaoth had not left us a seed, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been made like Gomorrha.
സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ നമുക്കു അത്യല്പമായോരു ശേഷിപ്പു വെച്ചിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ നാം സൊദോംപോലെ ആകുമായിരുന്നു; ഗൊമോറെക്കു സദൃശമാകുമായിരുന്നു.
10 Hear the word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodoma; attend to the law of God, you people of Gomorrha.
സൊദോം അധിപതികളേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ; ഗൊമോറജനമേ, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.
11 Of what [value] to me is the abundance of your sacrifices? says the Lord: I am full of whole burnt offerings of rams; and I delight not in the fat of lambs, and the blood of bulls and goats:
നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ ബാഹുല്യം എനിക്കു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; മുട്ടാടുകളെക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഹോമയാഗവും തടിപ്പിച്ച മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സുംകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു മതി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കാളകളുടെയോ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളുടെയോ കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെയോ രക്തം എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമല്ല.
12 neither shall you come [with these] to appear before me; for who has required these things at your hands? You shall no more tread my court.
നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വരുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളെ ചവിട്ടുവാൻ ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചതു ആർ?
13 Though you bring fine flour, [it is] vain; incense is an abomination to me; I can’t bear your new moons, and your sabbaths, and the great day;
ഇനി നിങ്ങൾ വ്യർത്ഥമായുള്ള കാഴ്ച കൊണ്ടുവരരുതു; ധൂപം എനിക്കു വെറുപ്പാകുന്നു; അമാവാസ്യയും ശബ്ബത്തും സഭായോഗം കൂടുന്നതും - നീതികേടും ഉത്സവയോഗവും എനിക്കു സഹിച്ചുകൂടാ.
14 [your] fasting, and rest from work, your new moons also, and your feasts my soul hates: you have become loathsome to me; I will no more pardon your sins.
നിങ്ങളുടെ അമാവാസ്യകളെയും ഉത്സവങ്ങളെയും ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്നു; അവ എനിക്കു അസഹ്യം; ഞാൻ അവ സഹിച്ചു മുഷിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
15 When you stretch forth your hands, I will turn away mine eyes from you: and though you make many supplications, I will not listen to you; for your hands are full of blood.
നിങ്ങൾ കൈമലർത്തുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എന്റെ കണ്ണു മറെച്ചുകളയും; നിങ്ങൾ എത്ര തന്നേ പ്രാർത്ഥന കഴിച്ചാലും ഞാൻ കേൾക്കയില്ല; നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈ രക്തംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
16 Wash you, be clean; remove your iniquities from your souls before mine eyes; cease from your iniquities;
നിങ്ങളെ കഴുകി വെടിപ്പാക്കുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തെ എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളവിൻ; തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതു മതിയാക്കുവിൻ.
17 learn to do well; diligently seek judgment, deliver him that is suffering wrong, plead for the orphan, and obtain justice for the widow.
നന്മ ചെയ്‌വാൻ പഠിപ്പിൻ; ന്യായം അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ; പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെ നേർവ്വഴിക്കാക്കുവിൻ; അനാഥന്നു ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുപ്പിൻ; വിധവെക്കു വേണ്ടി വ്യവഹരിപ്പിൻ.
18 And come, let us reason together, says the Lord: and though your sins be as purple, I will make them white as snow; and though they be as scarlet, I will make [them] white as wool.
വരുവിൻ, നമുക്കു തമ്മിൽ വാദിക്കാം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ കടുഞ്ചുവപ്പായിരുന്നാലും ഹിമംപോലെ വെളുക്കും; രക്താംബരംപോലെ ചുവപ്പായിരുന്നാലും പഞ്ഞിപോലെ ആയിത്തീരും.
19 And if you be willing, and listen to me, you shall eat the good of the land:
നിങ്ങൾ മനസ്സു വെച്ചു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ദേശത്തിലെ നന്മ അനുഭവിക്കും.
20 but if you be not willing, nor listen to me, a sword shall devour you: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken this.
മറുത്തു മത്സരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ നിങ്ങൾ വാളിന്നിരയായ്തീരും; യഹോവയുടെ വായ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
21 How has the faithful city Sion, [once] full of judgment, become a harlot! wherein righteousness lodged, but now murderers.
വിശ്വസ്തനഗരം വേശ്യയായി തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ! അതിൽ ന്യായം നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; നീതി വസിച്ചിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴോ, കൊലപാതകന്മാർ.
22 Your silver is worthless, your wine merchants mix the wine with water.
നിന്റെ വെള്ളി കീടമായും നിന്റെ വീഞ്ഞു വെള്ളം ചേർന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
23 Your princes are rebellious, companions of thieves, loving bribes, seeking after rewards; not pleading for orphans, and not heeding the cause of widows.
നിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ മത്സരികൾ; കള്ളന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടാളികൾ തന്നേ; അവർ ഒക്കെയും സമ്മാനപ്രിയരും പ്രതിഫലം കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നവരും ആകുന്നു; അവർ അനാഥന്നു ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല; വിധവയുടെ വ്യവഹാരം അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നതുമില്ല.
24 Therefore thus says the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Woe to the mighty [men] of Israel; for my wrath shall not cease against mine adversaries, and I will execute judgment on mine enemies.
അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വല്ലഭനായി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഹാ, ഞാൻ എന്റെ വൈരികളോടു പകവീട്ടി എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോടു പ്രതികാരം നടത്തും.
25 And I will bring my hand upon you, and purge you completely, and I will destroy the rebellious, and will take away from you all transgressors.
ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൈ നിന്റെ നേരെ തിരിച്ചു നിന്റെ കീടം തീരെ ഉരുക്കിക്കളകയും നിന്റെ വെള്ളീയം ഒക്കെയും നീക്കിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യും.
26 And I will establish your judges as before, and your counselors as at the beginning: and afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful mother-city of Sion.
ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ ആദിയിങ്കൽ എന്നപോലെയും നിന്റെ ആലോചനക്കാരെ ആരംഭത്തിങ്കൽ എന്നപോലെയും ആക്കും; അതിന്റെശേഷം നീ നീതിപുരം എന്നും വിശ്വസ്തനഗരം എന്നും വിളിക്കപ്പെടും.
27 For her captives shall be saved with judgment, and with mercy.
സീയോൻ ന്യായത്താലും അതിൽ മനം തിരിയുന്നവർ നീതിയാലും വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെടും.
28 And the transgressors and the sinners shall be crushed together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be utterly consumed.
എന്നാൽ അതിക്രമികൾക്കും പാപികൾക്കും ഒരുപോലെ നാശം ഭവിക്കും; യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.
29 For they shall be ashamed of their idols, which they delighted in, and they are made ashamed of the gardens which they coveted.
നിങ്ങൾ താല്പര്യം വെച്ചിരുന്ന കരുവേലകങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നാണിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരുന്ന തോട്ടങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിക്കും.
30 For they shall be as a turpentine tree that has cast its leaves, and as a garden that has no water.
നിങ്ങൾ ഇല പൊഴിഞ്ഞ കരുവേലകംപോലെയും വെള്ളമില്ലാത്ത തോട്ടംപോലെയും ഇരിക്കും.
31 And their strength shall be as a thread of tow, and their works as sparks, and the transgressors and the sinners shall be burnt up together, and there shall be none to quench [them].
ബലവാൻ ചണനാരുപോലെയും അവന്റെ പണി തീപ്പൊരിപോലെയും ആകും; കെടുത്തുവാൻ ആരുമില്ലാതെ രണ്ടും ഒരുമിച്ചു വെന്തുപോകും.
