< Genesis 15 >

1 And after these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram, I shield you, your reward shall be very great.
Kalpasan dagitoy a banbanag, immay ti sao ni Yahweh kenni Abram iti maysa a sirmata, a kunana, “Saanka nga agbuteng, Abram! “Siak ti salaknibmo ken ti naidaklan unay a gunggonam.”
2 And Abram said, Master [and] Lord, what will you give me? whereas I am departing without a child, but the son of Masek my home-born female slave, this Eliezer of Damascus [is mine heir.]
Kinuna ni Abram, “Apo a Yahweh, anianto ti ipaaymo kaniak, ta kastoy met latta, awananak iti anak, ken ti agtawid iti balayko ket ni Elieser a taga-Damasco?”
3 And Abram said, [I am grieved] since you have given me no seed, but my home-born [servant] shall succeed me.
Kinuna ni Abram, “Agsipud ta awan intedmo kaniak a kaputotan, kitaem, ti katalek iti balayko ket isu ti agtawid.”
4 And immediately there was a voice of the Lord to him, saying, This shall not be your heir; but he that shall come out of you shall be your heir.
Ket, pagammoan, immay kenkuana ti sao ni Yahweh, a kunana, “Saan a daytoy a lalaki ti agtawid iti sanikuam; ngem ketdi ti agtaudto a mismo iti bagim ti agtawidto.”
5 And he brought him out and said to him, Look up now to heaven, and count the stars, if you shall be able to number them fully, and he said, Thus shall your seed be.
Kalpasanna, impanna isuna iti ruar ket kinunana, “Tumangadka iti langit, ket bilangem dagiti bituen, no kabaelam ida a bilangen.” Ket kinunana kenkuana, “Kastanto met ngarud dagiti kaputotam.”
6 And Abram believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.
Namati isuna kenni Yahweh, ken imbilangna kenkuana daytoy a kinalinteg.
7 And he said to him, I am God that brought you out of the land of the Chaldeans, so as to give you this land to inherit.
Kinunana kenkuana, “Siak ni Yahweh a nangiruar kenka idiay Ur dagiti Caldeo, tapno itedko kenka daytoy a daga a tawidem.”
8 And he said, Master [and] Lord, how shall I know that I shall inherit it?
Kinunana “Apo a Yahweh, kasanonto a maammoak a tawidekto daytoy?”
9 And he said to him, Take for me an heifer in her third year, and a she-goat in her third year, and a ram in his third year, and a dove and a pigeon.
Ket kinunana kenkuana, “Mangidatagka kaniak iti tallo ti tawenna a baka a saan pay a nagmaya, tallo ti tawenna a kabaian a kalding, tallo ti tawenna a kalakian a karnero, kalapati ken sibong a pagaw.”
10 So he took to him all these, and divided them in the midst, and set them opposite to each other, but the birds he did not divide.
Impanna amin kenkuana dagitoy, ket ginuduana dagitoy. Ket inkabilna ti tunggal kagudua iti batug ti kapisina, ngem saanna a ginudua dagiti billit.
11 And birds came down upon the bodies, [even] upon the divided parts of them, and Abram sat down by them.
Idi bimmaba dagiti billit a mangan kadagiti natay nga ayup, inabog ni Abram dagitoy.
12 And about sunset a trance fell upon Abram, and behold! a great gloomy terror falls upon him.
Ket idi lumlumneken ti init, nakaturog iti nasimbeng ni Abram ket pagammoan, nasallukoban isuna iti nakaam-amak ken nakabutbuteng a sipnget.
13 And it was said to Abram, You shall surely know that your seed shall be a sojourner in a land not their won, and they shall enslave them, and afflict them, and humble them four hundred years.
Kalpasanna, kinuna ni Yahweh kenni Abram, “Ammoem koma a gangannaetto dagiti kaputotam iti saanda a daga, ket matagabudanto ken maparigatdanto iti las-ud iti uppat a gasut a tawen.
14 And the nation whoever they shall serve I will judge; and after this, they shall come forth hither with much property.
Ukomekto dayta a nasion a pagserbianda, ket rummuardanto kalpasan nga addaan iti nawadwad a sanikua.
15 But you shall depart to your fathers in peace, nourished in a good old age.
Ngem mapankanto kadagiti amam a sitatalna, ket lakaykanto unayen inton maitanemka.
16 And in the fourth generation they shall return hither, for the sins of the Amorites are not yet filled up, even until now.
Iti maikapat a henerasion ket umaydanto manen ditoy. Ta saan pay a nadanon ti pagpatinggaan ti kinadagsen iti basol dagiti Amorreo.”
17 And when the sun was about to set, there was a flame, and behold a smoking furnace and lamps of fire, which passed between these divided pieces.
Idi limneken ti init ket nasipngeten, adda maysa nga agas-asuk a banga ken sumsumged nga aluten a limmasat iti nagbabaetan dagiti pidaso ti ayup.
18 In that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your seed I will give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates.
Iti dayta nga aldaw, nakitulag ni Yahweh kenni Abram, kunana, “Kadagiti kaputotamto, itedko daytoy a daga, manipud iti karayan ti Egipto inggana iti dakkel a karayan, ti Eufrates—
19 The Kenites, and the Kenezites, and the Kedmoneans,
dagiti Kineo, dagiti Kenizeo, dagiti Kadmoneo,
20 and the Chettites, and the Pherezites, and the Raphaim,
dagiti Heteo, dagiti Perezeo, dagiti Refaim,
21 and the Amorites, and the Chananites, and the Evites, and the Gergesites, and the Jebusites.
dagiti Amorreo, dagiti Cananeo, dagiti Girgaseo ken dagiti Jebuseo.”
