< Jezekiel 29 >
1 In the twelfth year, in the tenth month, on the first [day] of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Mfe du so ɔsram a ɛto so du no da a ɛto so dumien no, Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn se:
2 Son of man, set your face against Pharao king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against the whole of Egypt:
“Onipa ba, fa wʼani kyerɛ Misraimhene Farao so na hyɛ nkɔm tia no ne Misraim nyinaa.
3 and say, Thus says the Lord; Behold, I am against Pharao, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers, that says, The rivers are mine, and I made them.
Kasa kyerɛ no na ka se: ‘Sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se. “‘Me ne wo anya, Misraimhene Farao asuboa kɛse a woda wo nsuwansuwa mu.’” Woka se, “Nil yɛ mede; meyɛ maa me ho.”
4 And I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will cause the fish of your river to stick to your sides, and I will bring you up out of the midst of your river:
Na mede nnarewa besuso wʼabogye mu na mama mpataa a wɔwɔ wo nsuwansuwa mu no atetare wʼabon ho. Mɛtwe wo afi wo nsuwansuwa no mu, a mpataa no nyinaa tetare wo ho.
5 and I will quickly cast down you and all the fish of your river: you shall fall on the face of the plain, and shall by no means be gathered, and shall not be brought together: I have given you for food to the wild beasts of the earth and to the fowls of the sky.
Megyaw wo hɔ wɔ sare no so, wo ne mpataa a wɔwɔ wo nsuwansuwa mu no nyinaa. Mobɛhwe ase wɔ asase petee mu a wɔremma mo so bio. Mede wo bɛma asase so mmoa ne wim nnomaa sɛ wɔn aduan.
6 And all the dwellers in Egypt shall know that I am the Lord, because you have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
Afei wɔn a wɔte Misraim nyinaa behu sɛ mene Awurade no. “‘Woayɛ sɛ demmire pema ama Israelfi.
7 When they took hold of you with their hand, you did break: and when every hand was clapped against them, and when they leaned on you, you were utterly broken, and did crush the loins of them all.
Wɔde wɔn nsa soo wo mu no, wo mu bukaw ma wuhuruwii, wotwerii wo no, wo mu bu ma wobɔɔ pemmɔ.
8 Therefore thus says the Lord; Behold, I [will] bring a sword upon you, and will cut off from you man and beast;
“‘Ɛno nti sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Mede afoa bɛba abɛko atia wo na makunkum wo mmarima ne wɔn mmoa.
9 and the land of Egypt shall be ruined and desert; and they shall know that I am the Lord; because you say, The rivers are mine, and I made them.
Misraim bɛda mpan na asɛe. Ɛno na wobehu sɛ mene Awurade. “‘Efisɛ wokae se, “Nil yɛ me de; me na meyɛe,” enti
10 Therefore, behold, I am against you, and against all your rivers, and I will give up the land of Egypt to desolation, and the sword, and destruction, from Magdol and Syene even to the borders of the Ethiopians.
me ne wo ne wo nsuwansuwa na anya, na mɛma Misraim asase asɛe na ada mpan, efi Migdol kosi Aswan twa mu de kɔka Kus hye so.
11 No foot of man shall pass through it, and no foot of beast shall pass through it, and it shall not be inhabited for forty years.
Onipa anaa aboa biara nan rensi so, obiara rentena so mfe aduanan.
12 And I will cause her land to be utterly destroyed in the midst of a land that is desolate, and her cities shall be [desolate] forty years in the midst of cities that are desolate: and I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and will utterly scatter them into the countries.
Mɛma Misraim asase no ada mpan wɔ nsase a asɛe mu na ne nkuropɔn bɛda mpan mfe aduanan wɔ wɔn nkuropɔn a asɛe no mu. Na mɛbɔ Misraimfo apete wɔ amanaman mu, na mahwete wɔn wɔ nsase so.
13 Thus says the Lord; After forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations among whom they have been scattered;
“‘Nanso sɛɛ ne nea Otumfo Awurade se: Mfe aduanan akyi no, mɛboaboa Misraimfo ano afi aman a mebɔɔ wɔn petee so no so.
14 and I will turn the captivity of the Egyptians, and will cause them to dwell in the land of Phathore, in the land whence they were taken;
Mede wɔn befi nnommumfa mu aba na mede wɔn akɔ Misraim Atifi, wɔn nenanom asase. Ɛhɔ na wɔbɛyɛ ahenni mu kumaa bi.
15 and it shall be a base kingdom beyond all [other] kingdoms; it shall not any more be exalted over the nations; and I will make them few in number, that they may not be [great] among the nations.
Ɛbɛyɛ ahenni a ɛnyɛ den na ɛrentumi mma ne ho so wɔ aman a aka no mu. Mɛyɛ no ahenni a ɛrentumi nni aman afoforo so.
16 And they shall no more be to the house of Israel a confidence bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they follow after them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Misraim renyɛ ɔman a Israelfo de wɔn ho bɛto no so bio, mmom ɛbɛkae wɔn bɔne a wɔyɛɛ sɛ wɔde wɔn ho kɔdan no de pɛɛ mmoa. Afei, wobehu sɛ mene Otumfo Awurade no.’”
17 And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, on the first [day] of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Mfe aduonu ason so, ɔsram a edi kan no da a edi kan no, Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn se:
18 Son of man, Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre; every head was bald, and every shoulder peeled; yet there was no reward to him or to his army [serving] against Tyre, nor for the service wherewith they served against it.
“Onipa ba, Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar ne nʼasraafo tuu Tiro so sa abran so, eti biara so pepae, na ɔbati nso so popɔree. Nanso ɔne nʼasraafo no annya hwee amfi adwumaden a wɔyɛ de tiaa Tiro no mu.
19 Thus says the Lord God; Behold, I [will] give to Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon the land of Egypt, and he shall take the plunder thereof, and seize the spoils thereof; and [it] shall be a reward for his army.
Ɛno nti, sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Mede Misraim rebɛhyɛ Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar nsa na ɔbɛsoa nʼahode akɔ. Ɔbɛfom asase no de ayɛ akatua ama nʼasraafo.
20 In return for his service wherewith he served against Tyre, I have given him the land of Egypt; thus says the Lord God:
Mede Misraim ama no sɛ nʼadwumayɛ so akatua, efisɛ ɔne nʼakofo yɛ maa me, Otumfo Awurade asɛm ni.
21 In that day shall a horn spring forth for all the house of Israel, and I will give you an open mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
“Saa da no mɛma abɛn bi afifi ama Israelfi, na mebue wʼano wɔ wɔn mu. Afei wobehu sɛ mene Awurade no.”
