Jezekiel 14
1 And there came to me men of the people of Israel, of the elders, and sat before me.
੧ਫੇਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਕੁ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਹਿ ਗਏ।
2 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
੨ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
3 Son of man, these men have conceived their devices in their hearts, and have set before their faces the punishment of their iniquities: shall I indeed answer them?
੩ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਥਾਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਠੋਕਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਪੁੱਛਣ।
4 Therefore speak to them, and you shall say to them, Thus says the Lord; Any man of the house of Israel, who shall conceive his devices in his heart, and shall set the punishment of his iniquity before his face, and shall come to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him [according to the things] in which his mind is entangled,
੪ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਠੋਕਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
5 that he should turn aside the house of Israel, according to their hearts that are estranged from me in their thoughts.
੫ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹਾਂ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
6 Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God, Be converted, and turn from your [evil] practices, and from all your sins, and turn your faces back again.
੬ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੁੜੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫਿਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣਿਆਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜੋ।
7 For any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who shall separate himself from me, and conceive his imaginations in his heart, and set before his face the punishment of his iniquity, and come to the prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the Lord will answer him, [according to the things] wherein he is entangled.
੭ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਓਪਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਡ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਠੋਕਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
8 And I will set my face against that man, and will make him desolate and ruined, and will cut him off from the midst of my people; and you shall know that I am the Lord.
੮ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਾਉਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ!
9 And if a prophet should cause to err and should speak, I the Lord have caused that prophet to err, and will stretch out my hand upon him, and will utterly destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
੯ਜੇਕਰ ਨਬੀ ਧੋਖਾ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਆਖੇ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੁੱਕਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
10 And they shall bear their iniquity according to the trespass of him that asks; and it shall be in like manner to the prophet according to the trespass:
੧੦ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ। ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਵੀ ਉਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ,
11 that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, and that they may no more defile themselves with any of their transgressions: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God, says the Lord.
੧੧ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਨਾ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਫੇਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ, ਸਗੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੋਵਾਂ।
12 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
੧੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
13 Son of man, if a land shall sin against me by committing a trespass, then will I stretch out my hand upon it, and will break its staff of bread, and will send forth famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast.
੧੩ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਦੇਸ ਭਾਰੀ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਚੁੱਕਾਂ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਤੋੜ ਦੇਵਾਂ, ਉੱਥੇ ਕਾਲ ਪਾ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਡੰਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਾਂ।
14 And though these three men should be in the midst of it, Noe, and Daniel, and Job, they [alone] should be delivered by their righteousness, says the Lord.
੧੪ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੂਹ, ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੋਣ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੇਵਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਬਚਾਉਣਗੇ।
15 If again I bring evil beasts upon the land, and take vengeance upon it, and it be ruined, and there be no one to pass through for fear of the wild beasts:
੧੫ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰੇ ਦਰਿੰਦੇ ਭੇਜਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਐਨਾ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਰਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ,
16 and [if] these three men should be in the midst of it, [as] I live, says the Lord, neither sons nor daughters shall be saved, but these only shall be saved, and the land shall be destroyed.
੧੬ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਕਿ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਬਚਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ, ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਚਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
17 Or again if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Let the sword go through the land; and I cut off from them man and beast:
੧੭ਜਾਂ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਭੇਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਾਂ, ਹੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਭਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਾਂ,
18 though these three men were in the midst of it, as I live, says the Lord, they shall not deliver sons or daughters, but they only shall be saved themselves.
੧੮ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਕਿ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਧੀਆਂ, ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ।
19 Or [if] again I send pestilence upon that land, and pour out my wrath upon it in blood, to destroy from off it man and beast:
੧੯ਜਾਂ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰੀ ਭੇਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਵਗਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜਾਂ, ਜੋ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਡੰਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਾਂ।
20 and should Noe, and Daniel, and Job, be in the midst of it, [as] I live, says the Lord, there shall be left [them] neither sons nor daughters; [only] they by their righteousness shall deliver their souls.
੨੦ਭਾਵੇਂ ਨੂਹ, ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ, ਨਾ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ, ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੇਵਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਬਚਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ।
21 Thus says the Lord, And if I even send upon Jerusalem my four sore judgments, sword, and famine, and evil beasts, and pestilence, to destroy from out of it man and beast;
੨੧ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਲੇ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਾਰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਨਿਆਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਕਾਲ, ਬੁਰੇ ਦਰਿੰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਰੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜਾਂ, ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਡੰਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਣ,
22 yet, behold, [there shall be] men left in it, the escaped thereof, who [shall] lead forth of it sons and daughters: behold, they [shall] go forth to you, and you shall see their ways and their thoughts: and you shall mourn over the evils which I have brought upon Jerusalem, [even] all the evils which I have brought upon it.
੨੨ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਕੁ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਧੀਆਂ ਬਚ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕੱਢੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਾਲ-ਚੱਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਬਲਾ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬਲਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਪਾਓਗੇ।
23 And they shall comfort you, because you shall see their ways and their thoughts: and you shall know that I have not done in vain all that I have done in it, says the Lord.
੨੩ਉਹ ਵੀ ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਾਲ-ਚੱਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖੋਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
