Exodus 8

1 And the Lord said to Moses, Go in to Pharao, and you shall say to him, These things says the Lord: send forth my people, that they may serve me.

Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Gehe hinein zu Pharao und sprich zu ihm: So spricht Jehovah: Entlaß Mein Volk, daß sie Mir dienen.

2 And if you will not send them forth, behold, I afflict all your borders with frogs:

Und wenn du dich weigerst, es zu entlassen, siehe, so schlage ich all deine Grenze mit Fröschen.

3 and the river shall teem with frogs, and they shall go up and enter into your houses, and into your bed-chambers, and upon your beds, and upon the houses of your servants, and of your people and on your dough, and on your ovens.

Und der Strom soll von Fröschen wimmeln, und sie sollen heraufsteigen und kommen in dein Haus und in deine Schlafkammer und auf dein Bett, und in das Haus deiner Knechte und zu deinem Volk, und in deine Öfen und in deine Backtröge.

4 And upon you, and upon your servants, and upon your people, shall the frogs come up.

Und an dich und dein Volk und an alle deine Knechte sollen die Frösche heraufkommen.

5 And the Lord said to Moses, Say to Aaron your brother, Stretch forth with the hand your rod over the rivers, and over the canals, and over the pools, and bring up the frogs.

Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Sprich zu Aharon: Strecke deine Hand aus mit deinem Stab über die Flüsse, über die Ströme und über die Seen, und bringe die Frösche herauf über Ägyptenland.

6 And Aaron stretched forth his hand over the waters of Egypt, and brought up the frogs: and the frog was brought up, and covered the land of Egypt.

Und Aharon streckte seine Hand aus über die Wasser Ägyptens, und herauf kam der Frosch und bedeckte Ägyptenland.

7 And the charmers of the Egyptians also did likewise with their sorceries, and brought up the frogs on the land of Egypt.

Und die Wahrsager taten mit ihren Zauberformeln gleich also. Und sie brachten Frösche herauf über Ägyptenland.

8 And Pharao called Moses and Aaron, and said, Pray for me to the Lord, and let him take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will send them away, and they shall sacrifice to the Lord.

Und Pharao rief Mose und Aharon und sprach: Flehet zu Jehovah, daß Er die Frösche von mir und Meinem Volk wegnehme; und ich will das Volk entlassen, daß sie dem Jehovah opfern.

9 And Moses said to Pharao, Appoint me [a time] when I shall pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, to cause the frogs to disappear from you, and from your people, and from your houses, only in the river shall they be left behind.

Und Mose sprach zu Pharao: Habe du den Ruhm über mich, bis wann soll ich für dich und für deine Knechte und für dein Volk flehen, daß die Frösche von dir und deinen Häusern ausgerottet werden; nur im Strom werden sie verbleiben.

10 And he said, On the morrow: he said therefore, As you has said; that you may know, that there is no other [God] but the Lord.

Und er sprach: Auf morgen! und er sprach: Nach deinem Wort! auf daß du wissest, daß keiner ist wie Jehovah, unser Gott.

11 And the frogs shall be removed away from you, and from your houses and from the villages, and from your servants, and from your people, only in the river they shall be left.

Und die Frösche sollen weichen von dir und deinen Häusern und von deinen Knechten und von deinem Volk; nur in dem Strome sollen sie verbleiben.

12 And Moses and Aaron went forth from Pharao, and Moses cried to the Lord concerning the restriction of the frogs, as Pharao appointed him.

Und Mose ging hinaus und Aharon fort von Pharao, und Mose schrie zu Jehovah der Frösche wegen, die Er über Pharao gebracht.

13 And the Lord did as Moses said, and the frogs died out of the houses, and out of the villages, and out of the fields.

Und Jehovah tat nach Moses Wort, und die Frösche starben weg aus den Häusern, aus den Höfen und aus den Feldern.

14 And they gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.

Und sie häuften sie auf zu Haufen und Haufen, und das Land stank.

15 And when Pharao saw that there was relief, his heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the Lord spoke.

Und Pharao sah, daß er wieder atmen konnte und er verstockte sein Herz und hörte nicht auf sie, wie Jehovah geredet hatte.

16 And the Lord said to Moses, Say to Aaron, Stretch forth your rod with your hand and strike the dust of the earth; and there shall be lice both upon man, and upon quadrupeds, and in all the land of Egypt.

Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Sprich zu Aharon: Strecke deinen Stab aus und schlage den Staub der Erde, daß er zu Läusen werde in ganz Ägyptenland!

17 So Aaron stretched out his rod with his hand, and struck the dust of the earth; and the lice were on men and on quadrupeds, and in all the dust of the earth there were lice.

Und sie taten also, und Aharon streckte seine Hand aus mit seinem Stab und schlug den Staub der Erde, und die Läuse waren an Mensch und Vieh; aller Staub der Erde ward zu Läusen im ganzen Land Ägypten.

18 And the charmers also did so with their sorceries, to bring forth the louse, and they could not. And the lice were both on the men and on the quadrupeds.

Und es taten die Wahrsager auch also mit ihren Zauberformeln, um Läuse hervorzubringen und sie vermochten es nicht, und die Läuse waren an Mensch und Vieh.

19 So the charmers said to Pharao, This is the finger of God. But the heart of Pharao was hardened, and he listened not to them, as the Lord said.

Und die Wahrsager sprachen zu Pharao: Dies ist der Finger Gottes! Und das Herz Pharaos bestärkte sich und er hörte nicht auf sie, wie Jehovah geredet hatte.

20 And the Lord said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharao: and behold, he will go forth to the water, and you shall say to him, These things says the Lord: Send away my people, that they may serve me in the wilderness.

Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Stehe früh am Morgen auf und stelle dich vor Pharao. Siehe, er geht aus an das Wasser; und sprich zu ihm: So spricht Jehovah: Entlaß Mein Volk, daß sie Mir dienen!

21 And if you will not let my people go, behold, I send upon you, and upon your servants, and upon your people, and upon your houses, the dog-fly; and the houses of the Egyptians shall be filled with the dog-fly, even throughout the land upon which they are.

Entlässest du nicht Mein Volk, siehe, da sende Ich Ungeziefer wider dich, wider deine Knechte und wider dein Volk und wider deine Häuser und die Häuser der Ägypter sollen voll vom Ungeziefer sein, und auch der Boden, auf dem sie sind.

22 and I will distinguish marvelously in that day the land of Gesem, on which my people dwell, in which the dog-fly shall not be: that you may know that I am the Lord the God of all the earth.

Und Ich will unterscheiden an jenem Tag Goschens Land, auf dem Mein Volk steht; daß dort das Ungeziefer nicht soll sein, damit du wissest daß Ich Jehovah bin inmitten des Landes.

23 And I will put a difference between my people and your people, and on the morrow shall this be on the land. And the Lord did thus.

Und eine Erlösung will Ich zwischen Mein Volk und zwischen deinem Volk setzen; morgen geschehe dieses Zeichen.

24 And the dog-fly came in abundance into the houses of Pharao, and into the houses of his servants, and into all the land of Egypt; and the land was destroyed by the dog-fly.

Und Jehovah tat also. Und schwer kam das Ungeziefer in Pharaos Haus und in seiner Knechte Haus und in das ganze Ägyptenland; das Land verdarb vor Ungeziefer.

25 And Pharao called Moses and Aaron, saying, Go and sacrifice to the Lord your God in the land.

Und Pharao rief Mose und Aharon und sprach: Gehet, opfert eurem Gott in dem Lande.

26 And Moses said, It can’t be so, for we shall sacrifice to the Lord our God the abominations of the Egyptians; for if we sacrifice the abominations of the Egyptians before them, we shall be stoned.

Mose aber sprach: Es ist nicht richtig, so zu tun, denn sonst würden wir den Greuel der Ägypter Jehovah, unserem Gotte, opfern. Siehe, würden wir den Greuel der Ägypter vor ihren Augen opfern, würden sie uns nicht steinigen?

27 We will go a journey of three days into the wilderness, and we will sacrifice to the Lord our God, as the Lord said to us.

Drei Tagreisen wollen wir in die Wüste ziehen und Jehovah, unserem Gotte, opfern, wie Er uns sagte.

28 And Pharao said, I [will] let you go, and do you sacrifice to your God in the wilderness, but do not go very far away: pray then for me to the Lord.

Und Pharao sprach: Ich will euch entlassen, daß ihr Jehovah, eurem Gotte, opfert in der Wüste. Nur sollt ihr nicht ferne gehen; flehet für mich!

29 And Moses said, I then will go forth from you and pray to God, and the dog-fly shall depart both from your servants, and from your people to-morrow. Do not you, Pharao, deceive again, so as not to send the people away to do sacrifice to the Lord.

Und Mose sprach: Siehe, ich gehe hinaus von dir und werde zu Jehovah flehen; und Er wird morgen wegnehmen das Ungeziefer von Pharao, von seinen Knechten und von seinem Volke. Nur möge Pharao nicht mehr uns hintergehen, das Volk nicht zu entlassen, daß es Jehovah opfere.

30 And Moses went out from Pharao, and prayed to God.

Und Mose ging hinaus von Pharao und flehte zu Jehovah.

31 And the Lord did as Moses said, and removed the dog-fly from Pharao, and from his servants, and from his people, and there was not one left.

Und Jehovah tat nach dem Worte Moses und nahm weg das Ungeziefer von Pharao, von seinen Knechten und von seinem Volk; nicht eines verblieb.

32 And Pharao hardened his heart, even on this occasion, and he would not send the people away.

Aber Pharao verstockte sein Herz auch diesmal und entließ das Volk nicht.
