Exodus 36
1 And Beseleel wrought, and Eliab and every one wise in understanding, to whom was given wisdom and knowledge, to understand to do all the works according to the holy offices, according to all things which the Lord appointed.
E Betsaleel e Oholiab e tutti gli uomini abili, nei quali l’Eterno ha messo sapienza e intelligenza per saper eseguire tutti i lavori per il servizio del santuario, faranno ogni cosa secondo che l’Eterno ha ordinato”.
2 And Moses called Beseleel and Eliab, and all that had wisdom, to whom God gave knowledge in [their] heart, and all who were freely willing to come forward to the works, to perform them.
Mosè chiamò dunque Betsaleel e Oholiab e tutti gli uomini abili ne’ quali l’Eterno avea messo intelligenza, tutti quelli che il cuore moveva ad applicarsi al lavoro per eseguirlo;
3 And they received from Moses all the offerings, which the children of Israel brought for all the works of the sanctuary to do them; and they continued to receive the gifts brought, from those who brought them in the morning.
ed essi presero in presenza di Mosè tutte le offerte recate dai figliuoli d’Israele per i lavori destinati al servizio del santuario, affin di eseguirli. Ma ogni mattina i figliuoli d’Israele continuavano a portare a Mosè delle offerte volontarie.
4 And there came all the wise men who wrought the works of the sanctuary, each according to his own work, which they wrought.
Allora tutti gli uomini abili ch’erano occupati a tutti i lavori del santuario, lasciato ognuno il lavoro che faceva, vennero a dire a Mosè:
5 And one said to Moses, The people bring an abundance [too great] in proportion to all the works which the Lord has appointed [them] to do.
“Il popolo porta molto più di quel che bisogna per eseguire i lavori che l’Eterno ha comandato di fare”.
6 And Moses commanded, and proclaimed in the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman any longer labor for the offerings of the sanctuary; and the people were restrained from bringing any more.
Allora Mosè dette quest’ordine, che fu bandito per il campo: “Né uomo né donna faccia più alcun lavoro come offerta per il santuario”. Così s’impedì che il popolo portasse altro.
7 And they had materials sufficient for making the furniture, and they left some besides.
Poiché la roba già pronta bastava a fare tutto il lavoro, e ve n’era d’avanzo.
8 And every wise one among those that wrought made the robes of the holy places, which belong to Aaron the priest, as the Lord commanded Moses.
Tutti gli uomini abili, fra quelli che eseguivano il lavoro, fecero dunque il tabernacolo di dieci teli, di lino fino ritorto, e di filo color violaceo, porporino e scarlatto, con dei cherubini artisticamente lavorati.
9 And he made the ephod of gold, and blue, and purple, and spun scarlet, and fine linen twined.
La lunghezza d’un telo era di ventotto cubiti; e la larghezza, di quattro cubiti; tutti i teli erano d’una stessa misura.
10 And the plates were divided, the threads of gold, so as to interweave with the blue and purple, and with the spun scarlet, and the fine linen twined, they made it a woven work;
Cinque teli furono uniti assieme, e gli altri cinque furon pure uniti assieme.
11 shoulder-pieces joined from both sides, a work woven by mutual twisting of the parts into one another.
Si fecero de’ nastri di color violaceo all’orlo del telo ch’era all’estremità della prima serie di teli; e lo stesso si fece all’orlo del telo ch’era all’estremità della seconda serie.
12 They made it of the same material according to the making of it, of gold, and blue, and purple, and spun scarlet, and fine linen twined, as the Lord commanded Moses;
Si misero cinquanta nastri al primo telo, e parimente cinquanta nastri all’orlo del telo ch’era all’estremità della seconda serie: i nastri si corrispondevano l’uno all’altro.
13 and they made the two emerald stones clasped together and set in gold, graven and cut after the cutting of a seal with the names of the children of Israel;
Si fecero pure cinquanta fermagli d’oro, e si unirono i teli l’uno all’altro mediante i fermagli; e così il tabernacolo formò un tutto.
14 and he put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, [as] stones of memorial of the children of Israel, as the Lord appointed Moses.
Si fecero inoltre dei teli di pel di capra, per servir da tenda per coprire il tabernacolo: di questi teli se ne fecero undici.
15 And they made the oracle, a work woven with embroidery, according to the work of the ephod, of gold, and blue, and purple, and spun scarlet, and fine linen twined.
La lunghezza d’ogni telo era di trenta cubiti; e la larghezza, di quattro cubiti; gli undici teli aveano la stessa misura.
16 They made the oracle square [and] double, the length of a span, and the breadth of a span, —double.
E si unirono insieme, da una parte, cinque teli, e si uniron insieme, dall’altra parte, gli altri sei.
17 And there was interwoven with it a woven work of four rows of stones, a series of stones, the first row, a sardius and topaz and emerald;
E si misero cinquanta nastri all’orlo del telo ch’era all’estremità della prima serie di teli, e cinquanta nastri all’orlo del telo ch’era all’estremità della seconda serie.
18 and the second row, a carbuncle and sapphire and jasper;
E si fecero cinquanta fermagli di rame per unire assieme la tenda, in modo che formasse un tutto.
19 and the third row, a ligure and agate and amethyst;
Si fece pure per la tenda una coperta di pelli di montone tinte di rosso, e, sopra questa, un’altra di pelli di delfino.
20 and the fourth row a chrysolite and beryl and onyx set round about with gold, and fastened with gold.
Poi si fecero per il tabernacolo le assi di legno d’acacia, messe per ritto.
21 And the stones were twelve according to the names of the children of Israel, graven according to their names like seals, each according to his own name for the twelve tribes.
La lunghezza d’un’asse era di dieci cubiti, e la larghezza d’un’asse, di un cubito e mezzo.
22 And they made on the oracle turned wreaths, wreathen work, of pure gold,
Ogni asse aveva due incastri paralleli; così fu fatto per tutte le assi del tabernacolo.
23 and they made two golden circlets and two golden rings.
Si fecero dunque le assi per il tabernacolo: venti assi dal lato meridionale, verso il sud;
24 And they put the two golden rings on both the [upper] corners of the oracle;
e si fecero quaranta basi d’argento sotto le venti assi: due basi sotto ciascun’asse per i suoi due incastri.
25 and they put the golden wreaths on the rings on both sides of the oracle, and the two wreaths into the two couplings.
E per il secondo lato del tabernacolo, il lato di nord,
26 And they put them on the two circlets, and they put them on the shoulders of the ephod opposite [each other] in front.
si fecero venti assi, con le loro quaranta basi d’argento: due basi sotto ciascun’asse.
27 And they made two golden rings, and put them on the two projections on the top of the oracle, and on the top of the hinder part of the ephod within.
E per la parte posteriore del tabernacolo, verso occidente, si fecero sei assi.
28 And they made two golden rings, and put them on both the shoulders of the ephod under it, in front by the coupling above the connexion of the ephod.
Si fecero pure due assi per gli angoli del tabernacolo, dalla parte posteriore.
29 And he fastened the oracle by the rings that were on it to the rings of the ephod, which were fastened with [a string] of blue, joined together with the woven work of the ephod; that the oracle should not be loosed from the ephod, as the Lord commanded Moses.
E queste erano doppie dal basso in su, e al tempo stesso formavano un tutto fino in cima, fino al primo anello. Così fu fatto per ambe due le assi, ch’erano ai due angoli.
30 And they made the tunic under the ephod, woven work, all of blue.
V’erano dunque otto assi, con le loro basi d’argento: sedici basi: due basi sotto ciascun’asse.
31 And the opening of the tunic in the midst woven closely together, the opening having a fringe round about, that it might not be tore.
E si fecero delle traverse di legno d’acacia: cinque, per le assi di un lato del tabernacolo;
32 And they made on the border of the tunic below pomegranates as of a flowering pomegranate tree, of blue, and purple, and spun scarlet, and fine linen twined.
cinque traverse per le assi dell’altro lato del tabernacolo, e cinque traverse per le assi della parte posteriore del tabernacolo, a occidente.
33 And they made golden bells, and put the bells on the border of the tunic round about between the pomegranates:
E si fece la traversa di mezzo, in mezzo alle assi, per farla passare da una parte all’altra.
34 a golden bell and a pomegranate on the border of the tunic round about, for the ministration, as the Lord commanded Moses.
E le assi furon rivestite d’oro, e furon fatti d’oro i loro anelli per i quali dovean passare le traverse, e le traverse furon rivestite d’oro.
35 And they made vestments of fine linen, a woven work, for Aaron and his sons,
Fu fatto pure il velo, di filo violaceo, porporino, scarlatto, e di lino fino ritorto con de’ cherubini artisticamente lavorati;
36 and the tires of fine linen, and the mitre of fine linen, and the drawers of fine linen twined;
e si fecero per esso quattro colonne di acacia e si rivestirono d’oro; i loro chiodi erano d’oro; e per le colonne, si fusero quattro basi d’argento.
37 and their girdles of fine linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet spun, the work of an embroiderer, according as the Lord commanded Moses.
Si fece anche per l’ingresso della tenda una portiera, di filo violaceo porporino, scarlatto, e di lino fino ritorto, in lavoro di ricamo.
38 And they made the golden plate, a dedicated thing of the sanctuary, of pure gold;
E si fecero le sue cinque colonne coi loro chiodi; si rivestiron d’oro i loro capitelli e le loro aste; e le loro cinque basi eran di rame.
39 and he wrote upon it graven letters [as] of a seal, Holiness to the Lord.
40 And they put it on the border of blue, so that it should be on the mitre above, as the Lord commanded Moses.
