And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 Speak to the children of Israel, and take first fruits of all, who may be disposed in their heart to give; and you shall take my first fruits.
“Speak to the sons of Israel, so that they may take the first-fruits to me. You shall accept these from every man who offers of his own accord.
3 And this is the offering which you shall take of them; gold and silver and brass,
Now these are the things that you must accept: Gold, and silver, and brass,
4 and blue, and purple, and double scarlet, and fine spun linen, and goats' hair,
hyacinth and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet, and fine linen, the hair of goats,
5 and rams' skins dyed red, and blue skins, and incorruptible wood,
and the skins of rams, dyed red, and skins of violet, and setim wood,
6 and oil for the light, incense for anointing oil, and for the composition of incense,
oil to prepare lights, aromatics as ointments and sweet-smelling incense,
7 and sardius stones, and stones for the carved work of the breast-plate, and the full-length robe.
onyx stones and gems to adorn the ephod as well as the breastplate.
8 And you shall make me a sanctuary, and I will appear among you.
And they shall make a sanctuary for me, and I will live in their midst.
9 And you shall make for me according to all things which I show you in the mountain; even the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all its furniture: so shall you make it.
According to exact likeness of the tabernacle, and all of the vessels for its rituals, that I will reveal to you, so shall you make it.
10 And you shall make the ark of testimony of incorruptible wood; the length of two cubits and a half, and the breadth of a cubit and a half, and the height of a cubit and a half.
Join together an ark of setim wood, whose length shall hold two and one half cubits; the width, one and one half cubits; the height, likewise, one and one half cubits.
11 And you shall gild it with pure gold, you shall gild it within and without; and you shall make for it golden wreaths twisted round about.
And you shall overlay it with the finest gold, inside and out. And over it, you shall fashion a gold crown all around,
12 And you shall cast for it four golden rings, and shall put them on the four sides; two rings on the one side, and two rings on the other side.
and four gold rings, which you shall set into the four corners of the ark. Let two rings be on one side and two on the other.
13 And you shall make staves [of] incorruptible wood, and shall gild them with gold.
Likewise, you shall make bars of setim wood and cover them with gold.
14 And you shall put the staves into the rings on the sides of the ark, to bear the ark with them.
And you shall put them through the rings that are in the sides of the ark, so that it may be carried on them.
15 The staves shall remain fixed in the rings of the ark.
These must always be in the rings, neither shall they ever be drawn out of them.
16 And you shall put into the ark the testimonies which I shall give you.
And you shall place the testimony, which I will give to you, in the ark.
17 And you shall make a propitiatory, a lid of pure gold; the length of two cubits and a half, and the breadth of a cubit and a half.
You shall also make a propitiatory of the finest gold. Its length shall hold two and one half cubits, and the width, one and one half cubits.
18 And you shall make two cherubs graven in gold, and you shall put them on both sides of the propitiatory.
Likewise, you shall make two Cherubim of formed gold, on both sides of the oracle.
19 They shall be made, one cherub on this side, and another cherub on the other side of the propitiatory; and you shall make the two cherubs on the two sides.
Let one Cherub be on the one side, and the other be on the other.
20 The cherubs shall stretch forth their wings above, overshadowing the propitiatory with their wings; and their faces shall be toward each other, the faces of the cherubs shall be toward the propitiatory.
And let them cover both sides of the propitiatory, spreading their wings and covering the oracle, and let them look out toward one another, their faces being turned toward the propitiatory, with which the ark is to be covered,
21 And you shall set the propitiatory on the ark above, and you shall put into the ark the testimonies which I shall give you.
in which you will place the testimony that I will give to you.
22 And I will make myself known to you from thence, and I will speak to you above the propitiatory between the two cherubs, which are upon the ark of testimony, even in all things which I shall charge you concerning the children of Israel.
From there, I will warn you and speak to you, above the propitiatory and from the middle of the two Cherubim, which will be over the ark of the testimony, about everything that I will command of the sons of Israel through you.
23 And you shall make a golden table of pure gold, in length two cubits, and in breadth a cubit, and in height a cubit and a half.
You shall also make a table of setim wood, having two cubits of length, and one cubit in width, and one cubit and one half cubits in height.
24 And you shall make for it golden wreaths twisted round about, and you shall make for it a crown of an hand-breadth round about.
And you shall overlay it with the purest gold. And you shall make it with a gold lip all around,
25 And you shall make a twisted wreath for the crown round about.
and for the lip itself an engraved crown, four fingers high, and above it another little gold crown.
26 And you shall make four golden rings; and you shall put the four rings upon the four parts of its feet under the crown.
Likewise, you shall prepare four gold rings and set them in the four corners of the same table, over each foot.
27 And the rings shall be for bearings for the staves, that they may bear the table with them.
Under the crown, there shall be gold rings, so that the bars may be put through them and the table may be carried.
28 And you shall make the staves of incorruptible wood, and you shall gild them with pure gold; and the table shall be borne with them.
Likewise, the bars themselves you shall make of setim wood, and surround them with gold, to lift up the table.
29 And you shall make its dishes and its censers, and its bowls, and its cups, with which you shall offer drink-offerings: of pure gold shall you make them.
You shall also prepare small cups, as well as bowls, censers, and measuring cups, with which the libations shall be offered, out of the purest gold.
30 And you shall set upon the table show bread before me continually.
And you shall place upon the table the bread of the presence, in my sight always.
31 And you shall make a candlestick of pure gold; you shall make the candlestick of graven work: its stem and its branches, and its bowls and its knops and its lilies shall be of one piece.
You shall also make a lampstand, formed from the finest gold, along with its stem and arms, its bowl and little spheres, as well as the lilies proceeding from it.
32 And six branches proceeding sideways, three branches of the candlestick from one side of it, and three branches of the candlestick from the other side.
Six branches shall go out from the sides: three out of one side and three out of the other.
33 And three bowls fashioned like almonds, on each branch a knop and a lily; so to the six branches proceeding from the candlestick,
Three bowls, the size of nuts, shall be on each branch, and a little sphere with it, and a lily. And three similar bowls, in the likeness of nuts, shall be on the other branch, and a little sphere with it, and a lily. This shall be the form of the six branches, which are to proceed from the stem.
34 and in the candlestick four bowls fashioned like almonds, in each branch knops and the flowers of the same.
Then, in the lampstand itself, there shall be four bowls, the size of nuts, and each with little spheres and lilies.
35 A knop under two branches out of it, and a knop under four branches out of it; so to the six branches proceeding from the candlestick; and in the candlestick four bowls fashioned like almonds.
Little spheres under two branches in three places, which together make six, shall proceed from one of the stems.
36 Let the knops and the branches be of one piece, altogether graven of one piece of pure gold.
Thus both the little spheres and the branches shall be made out of the same thing: entirely formed from the purest gold.
37 And you shall make its seven lamps: and you shall set on [it] the lamps, and they shall shine from one front.
You shall also make seven lamps, and you shall place them upon the lampstand, so that they may give light in every direction.
38 And you shall make its funnel and its snuff-dishes of pure gold.
Likewise, the candle snuffers, and the place where the candles will be extinguished, shall be made from the purest gold.
39 All these articles [shall be] a talent of pure gold.
The entire weight of the candlestick, with all its parts, shall hold one talent of the purest gold.
40 See, you shall make them according to the pattern showed you in the mount.
Observe, and then make it according to the example that was shown to you on the mountain.”
