Esther 10

1 And the king levied [a tax] upon [his] kingdom both by land and sea.

೧ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷ್ ರಾಜನು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದ್ರದ್ವೀಪಗಳಿಗೂ ತೆರಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಿದನು.

2 And [as for] his strength and valour, and the wealth and glory of his kingdom, behold, they are written in the book of the Persians and Medes, for a memorial.

೨ಅವನ ಬಲ ಪ್ರತಾಪಯುಕ್ತವಾದ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳೂ, ಅವನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತವಾದ ದೊಡ್ಡಸ್ತಿಕೆಯ ವಿವರಗಳು ಮೇದ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾರಸಿಯ ರಾಜಕಾಲ ವೃತ್ತಾಂತಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

3 And Mardochaeus was viceroy to king Artaxerxes, and was a great man in the kingdom, and honoured by the Jews, and passed his life beloved of all his nation.

೩ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನಾದ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಯಾದರೋ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಸ್ಥಾನದವನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿತನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಬಂಧುಬಳಗಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಪಾತ್ರನೂ, ಸ್ವಜನರ ಹಿತಚಿಂತಕನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಕುಲದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಶಾಂತಿದೂತನೂ, ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾಪರನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದನು.
