Deuteronomy 23
1 He that is fractured or mutilated in his private parts shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.
O quebrado de quebradura, e o castrado, não entrará na congregação do Senhor.
2 [One born] of a harlot shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.
Nenhum bastardo entrará na congregação do Senhor: nem ainda a sua décima geração entrará na congregação do Senhor.
3 The Ammanite and Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even until the tenth generation he shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even for ever:
Nenhum amonita nem moabita entrará na congregação do Senhor: nem ainda a sua décima geração entrará na congregação do Senhor eternamente.
4 because they met you not with bread and water by the way, when you went out of Egypt; and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor of Mesopotamia to curse you.
Porquanto não sairam com pão e água, a receber-vos no caminho, quando saíeis do Egito; e porquanto alugou contra ti a Balaão, filho de Beor, de Pethor, de Mesopotâmia, para te amaldiçoar.
5 But the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam; and the Lord your God changed the curses into blessings, because the Lord your God loved you.
Porém o Senhor teu Deus não quis ouvir Balaão: antes o Senhor teu Deus trocou em benção a maldição; porquanto o Senhor teu Deus te amava.
6 You shall not speak peaceably or profitably to them all your days for ever.
Não lhes procurarás nem paz nem bem em todos os teus dias para sempre.
7 You shall not abhor an Edomite, because he is your brother; you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were a stranger in his land.
Não abominarás o edumeu, pois é teu irmão: nem abominarás o egípcio; pois estrangeiro foste na sua terra.
8 If sons be born to them, in the third generation they shall enter into the assembly of the Lord.
Os filhos que lhes nascerem na terceira geração, cada um deles entrará na congregação do Senhor.
9 And if you should go forth to engage with your enemies, then you shall keep you from every wicked thing.
Quando o exército sair contra os teus inimigos, então te guardarás de toda a coisa má.
10 If there should be in you a man who is not clean by reason of his issue by night, then he shall go forth out of the camp, and he shall not enter into the camp.
Quando entre ti houver algum que por algum acidente de noite não estiver limpo, sairá fora do exército; não entrará no meio do exército.
11 And it shall come to pass toward evening he shall wash his body with water, and when the sun has gone down, he shall go into the camp.
Porém será que, declinando a tarde, se lavará em água; e, em se pondo o sol, entrará no meio do arraial.
12 And you shall have a place outside of the camp, and you shall go out there,
Também terás um lugar fora do arraial; e ali sairás fora.
13 and you shall have a trowel on your girdle; and it shall come to pass when you would relieve yourself abroad, that you shall dig with it, and shall bring back the earth and cover your nuisance.
E entre as tuas armas terás uma pá; e será que, quando estiveres assentado fora, então com ela cavarás, e, virando-te, cobrirás aquilo que saiu de ti.
14 Because the Lord your God walks in your camp to deliver you, and to give up your enemy before your face; and your camp shall be holy, and there shall not appear in you a disgraceful thing, and [so] he shall turn away from you.
Porquanto o Senhor teu Deus anda no meio do teu arraial, para te livrar, e entregar os teus inimigos diante de ti: pelo que o teu arraial será santo: para que ele não veja coisa feia em ti, e se torne atráz de ti.
15 You shall not deliver a servant to his master, who [coming] from his master attaches himself to you.
Não entregarás a seu senhor o servo que se acolher a ti de seu senhor;
16 He shall dwell with you, he shall dwell among you where he shall please; you shall not afflict him.
Contigo ficará no meio de ti, no lugar que escolher em alguma das tuas portas, onde lhe estiver bem: não o oprimirás.
17 There shall not be a harlot of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be a fornicator of the sons of Israel; there shall not be an idolatress of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be an initiated person of the sons of Israel.
Não haverá rameira dentre as filhas de Israel; nem haverá sodomita dentre os filhos de Israel.
18 You shall not bring the hire of a harlot, nor the price of a dog into the house of the Lord your God, for any vow; because even both are an abomination to the Lord your God.
Não trarás salário de rameira nem preço de cão à casa do Senhor teu Deus por qualquer voto: porque estes ambos são igualmente abominação ao Senhor teu Deus.
19 You shall not lend to your brother on usury of silver, or usury of meat, or usury of any thing which you may lend out.
A teu irmão não emprestarás à usura, nem à usura de dinheiro, nem à usura de comida, nem à usura de qualquer coisa que se empreste à usura.
20 You may lend on usury to a stranger, but to your brother you shall not lend on usury; that the Lord your God may bless you in all your works upon the land, into which you are entering to inherit it.
Ao estranho emprestarás à usura, porém a teu irmão não emprestarás à usura: para que o Senhor teu Deus te abençoe em tudo no que puseres a tua mão, na terra a qual vais a possuir.
21 And if you will vow a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it; for the Lord your God will surely require it of you, and [otherwise] it shall be sin in you.
Quando votares algum voto ao Senhor teu Deus, não tardarás em paga-lo; porque o Senhor teu Deus certamente o requererá de ti, e em ti haverá pecado.
22 But if you should be unwilling to vow, it is not sin in you.
Porém, abstendo-te de votar, não haverá pecado em ti
23 You shall observe the words that proceed from between your lips; and as you have vowed a gift to the Lord God, [so] shall you do that which you have spoken with your mouth.
O que saiu da tua boca guardarás, e o farás; trazendo a oferta voluntária, assim como votaste ao Senhor teu Deus, o que declaraste pela tua boca.
24 And if you should go into the corn field of your neighbor, then you may gather the ears with your hands; but you shall not put the sickle to your neighbor's corn.
Quando entrares na vinha do teu próximo, comerás uvas conforme ao teu desejo até te fartares, porém não as porás no teu vaso
25 And if you should go into the vineyard of your neighbor, you shall eat grapes sufficient to satisfy your desire; but you may not put them into a vessel.
Quando entrares na seara do teu próximo, com a tua mão arrancarás as espigas; porém não meterás a foice na seara do teu próximo.
