Daniel 11
1 And I in the first year of Cyrus stood to strengthen and confirm [him].
೧ಮೇದ್ಯನಾದ ದಾರ್ಯಾವೆಷನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೇ ಮೀಕಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆಶ್ರಯನಾಗಿ ನಿಂತೆನು.
2 And now I will tell you the truth. Behold, there shall yet rise up three kings in Persia: and the fourth shall be very far richer than all: and after that he is master of his wealth, he shall rise up against all the kingdoms of the Greeks.
೨ನಾನು ಈಗ ಸತ್ಯಾಂಶವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವೆನು, “ಇಗೋ, ಪಾರಸಿಯ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಮೂವರು ರಾಜರು ಏಳುವರು; ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ರಾಜನು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಧನವಂತನಾಗಿರುವನು; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಧನದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಬಲನಾಗಿ ಗ್ರೀಕ್ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಬಲವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವನು.
3 An there shall rise up a mighty king, and he shall be lord of a great empire, and shall do according to his will.
೩ಅನಂತರ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ರಾಜನು ಎದ್ದು ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದಿಂದ ಆಳುತ್ತಾ, ತನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
4 And when his kingdom shall stand up, it shall be broken, and shall be divided to the four winds of heaven; but not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled over: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, and [given] to others beside these.
೪ಅವನು ತಲೆಯೆತ್ತಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಒಡೆದು ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಿಗೂ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಾಲಾಗುವುದು. ಅದು ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಭಾಗವಾಗದು. ಅವನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಪ್ರಬಲವಾಗಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಇನ್ನು ಪ್ರಬಲವಾಗದು. ಆ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಕೀಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ನಾಲ್ವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಇತರರಿಗೂ ಪಾಲಾಗುವುದು.
5 And the king of the south shall be strong; and one of their princes shall prevail against him, and shall obtain a great dominion.
೫ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜನೂ, ಅವನ ಸರದಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಸರದಾರನು ರಾಜನಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಲಗೊಂಡು ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವನು. ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ದೊಡ್ಡ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
6 And after his years they shall associate; and the daughter of the king of the south shall come to the king of the north, to make agreements with him: but she shall not retain power of arm; neither shall his seed stand: and she shall be delivered up, and they that brought her, and the maiden, and he that strengthened her in these times.
೬ಕೆಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಕುಮಾರಿಯು ಉತ್ತರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವಳು. ಆದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಭುಜಬಲವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆಗದು; ಅವನೂ, ಅವನ ತೋಳೂ ನಿಲ್ಲವು; ಅವಳೂ, ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ತಂದವರೂ, ಪಡೆದವನೂ, ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡವನೂ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಈಡಾಗುವರು.
7 [But] out of the flower of her root there shall arise [one on] his place, and shall come against the host, and shall enter into the strongholds of the king of the north, and shall fight against them, and prevail.
೭ಅನಂತರ ಅವಳು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ವಂಶವೃಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರು ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಸೈನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಅವನ ದುರ್ಗದೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿ, ಅವರೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲುವರು.
8 Yes, he shall carry with a body of captives into Egypt their gods with their molten [images, and] all their precious vessels of silver and gold; and he shall last longer than the king of the north.
೮ಅವರ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಎರಕದ ಬೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಒಳ್ಳೊಳ್ಳೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸೂರೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು, ಕೆಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ತನಕ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ತಂಟೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
9 And he shall enter into the kingdom of the king of the south, and shall return to his own land.
೯ಬಳಿಕ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವನು. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವನು.
10 And his sons shall gather a multitude among many: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through, and he shall rest, and collect his strength.
೧೦ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯುದ್ಧ ಸನ್ನಾಹ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಹಾವ್ಯೂಹವಾದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವರು. ಆ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಮುಂದುವರೆದು ತುಂಬಿತುಳುಕಿ ಹಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು. ಅವರು ಪುನಃ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ದುರ್ಗದವರೆಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗುವರು.
11 And the king of the south shall be greatly enraged, and shall come forth, and shall war with the king of the north: and he shall raise a great multitude; but the multitude shall be delivered into his hand.
೧೧ಆಗ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ಕ್ರೋಧದಿಂದ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದು, ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವನು. ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ಮಹಾವ್ಯೂಹವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದರೂ, ಅದೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.
12 And he shall take the multitude, and his heart shall be exalted; and he shall cast down many thousands; but he shall not prevail.
೧೨ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ತುಂಬುವುದು. ಅವನು ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನು ಬೀಳಿಸಿದರೂ ಪ್ರಾಬಲ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
13 For the king of the north shall return, and bring a multitude greater than the former, and at the end of the times of years an invading army shall come with a great force, and with much substance.
೧೩ತರುವಾಯ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಂಡಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದಂಡನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಬಹಳ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಮಹಾ ಸೈನ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ಅಧಿಕ ಆಯುಧಗಳ ಸಮೇತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಬರುವನು.
14 And in those times many shall rise up against the king of the south; and the children of the spoilers of your people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; and they shall fail.
೧೪ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನಿಗೆ ಎದುರು ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂಸಕರು ಕನಸನ್ನು ನಿಜ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ದಂಗೆ ಏಳುವರು. ಆದರೆ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವರು.
15 And the king of the north shall come in, and cast up a mound, and take strong cities: and the arms of the king of the south shall withstand, and his chosen ones shall rise up, but there shall be no strength to stand.
೧೫ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ಬಂದು ದಿಬ್ಬ ಹಾಕಿ, ಕೋಟೆ ಕೊತ್ತಲದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವನು; ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ಭುಜಬಲವು ನಿಲ್ಲದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಹಾವೀರರು ತಡೆಯಲಾರರು, ಎದುರಿಸುವ ಯಾವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಇರದು.
16 And he that comes in against him shall do according to his will, and there is no one to stand before him: and he shall stand in the land of beauty, and it shall be consumed by his hand.
೧೬ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಬರುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಛಾನುಸಾರ ನಡೆಯುವನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು ಇಲ್ಲ, ನಾಶವನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಅಂದ ಚಂದದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವನು.
17 And he shall set his face to come in with the force of his whole kingdom, and shall cause everything to prosper with him: and he shall give him the daughter of women to corrupt her: but she shall not continue, neither be on his side.
೧೭ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬಲ ಸಮೇತನಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಹಾನಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಉಪಾಯವೂ ನಿಲ್ಲದು, ತನಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
18 And he shall turn his face to the islands, and shall take many, and cause princes to cease from their reproach: nevertheless his own reproach shall return to him.
೧೮ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸುವನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಮಾಡುವ ನಿಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಸರದಾರನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅದು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ತಿರುಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು.
19 Then he shall turn back his face to the strength of his own land: but he shall become weak, and fall, and not be found.
೧೯ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ವದೇಶದ ದುರ್ಗಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಎಡವಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗುವನು.
20 And there shall arise out of his root one that shall cause a plant of the kingdom to pass over his place, earning kingly glory: and yet in those days shall he be broken, yet not openly, nor in war.
೨೦ಅವನ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಎದ್ದು, ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿರೋಮಣಿಯಾದ ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ದೋಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳತಕ್ಕವನನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸುವನು. ಅವನು ಕೆಲವು ದಿನಗಳೊಳಗೆ ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು. ಅವನ ನಾಶ ಕೋಪದ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದಲ್ಲ, ಯುದ್ಧದಿಂದಲೂ ಅಲ್ಲ.
21 [One] shall stand on his place, [who] has been set a nothing, and they have not put upon him the honor of the kingdom: but he shall come in prosperously, and obtain the kingdom by deceitful ways.
೨೧“ಅವನ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಪದವಿಗೆ ಹಕ್ಕುದಾರನಲ್ಲದ ಒಬ್ಬ ನೀಚನು ಎದ್ದು, ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ನಯವಾದ ನುಡಿಗಳಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
22 And the arms of him that overflows shall be washed away as with a flood from before him, and shall be broken, and [so shall be] the head of the covenant.
೨೨ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುವ ವ್ಯೂಹಗಳೂ, ದೇವರ ನಿಬಂಧನಾಧಿಪತಿಯೂ ಅವನ ರಭಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಭಂಗವಾಗುವರು.
23 And because of the leagues made with him he shall work deceit: and he shall come up, and overpower them with a small nation.
೨೩ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವನಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡುವನು; ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಏಳಿಗೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
24 And he shall enter with prosperity, and [that] into fertile districts; and he shall do what his fathers and his fathers' fathers have not done; he shall scatter among them plunder, and spoils, and wealth; and he shall devise plans against Egypt, even for a time.
೨೪ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದ ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನುಗ್ಗುವನು. ತಂದೆ, ತಾತಂದಿರು ಮಾಡದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವನು, ಸೂರೆ, ಸುಲಿಗೆ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆದವುಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನವರಿಗೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿಬಿಡುವನು. ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಕುತಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊನೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸುವನು.
25 And his strength and his heart shall be stirred up against the king of the south with a great force; and the king of the south shall engage in war with a great and very strong force; but [his forces] shall not stand, for they shall devise plans against him:
೨೫ಅವನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ದಂಡೆತ್ತಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಬಲವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವನು. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ಮಹಾ ಸೈನ್ಯಸಮೇತನಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡುವನು. ಆದರೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಾರನು, ಅವನು ಸೋಲುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವನು.
26 and they shall eat his provisions, and shall crush him, and he shall carry away armies as with a flood, and many shall fall down slain.
೨೬ಅವನ ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವವರೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸುವರು; ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುವುದು. ಬಹಳ ಜನರು ಹತರಾಗಿ ಬೀಳುವರು.
27 And [as for] both the kings, their hearts [are set] upon mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper; for yet the end is for a [fixed] time.
೨೭ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ರಾಜರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಕೇಡಿನ ಮನಸುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಸಹ ಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸುಳ್ಳು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಆದರೆ ಏನೂ ಸಾಗದು, ಪರಿಣಾಮವು ನಿಶ್ಚಿತ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೇ ತಲೆದೋರುವುದು.
28 And he shall return to his land with much substance; and his heart [shall be] against the holy covenant; and he shall perform [great deeds], and return to his own land.
೨೮ಅನಂತರ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ಬಹಳ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದು ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವನು. ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ಬಂದಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸ್ವದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸೇರುವನು.
29 At the [set] time he shall return, and shall come into the south, but the last [expedition] shall [not] be as the first.
೨೯ನಿಶ್ಚಿತ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನಃ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ನುಗ್ಗುವನು. ಆದರೆ ಮೊದಲು ಆದಂತೆಯೇ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಲ ಆಗದು.
30 For the Citians issuing forth shall come against him, and he shall be brought low, and shall return, and shall be incensed against the holy covenant: and he shall do [thus], and shall return, and have intelligence with them that have forsaken the holy covenant.
೩೦ಅವನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಕಿತ್ತೀಮಿನ ಹಡಗುಗಳು ಬರಲು, ಅವನು ಎದೆಗುಂದಿ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ಸರಗೊಂಡು ತನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ಬಂದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು. ಅವನು ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಯನ್ನು ತೊರೆದವರನ್ನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು.
31 And seeds shall spring up out of him, and they shall profane the sanctuary of strength, and they shall remove the perpetual [sacrifice], and make the abomination desolate.
೩೧ಅವನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಆಶ್ರಯ ದುರ್ಗವಾದ ಪವಿತ್ರಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆಗೆಡಿಸಿ, ನಿತ್ಯಹೋಮವನ್ನು ನೀಗಿಸಿ, ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸುವುದು.
32 And the transgressors shall bring about a covenant by deceitful ways: but a people knowing their God shall prevail, and do [valiantly].
೩೨ನಿಬಂಧನ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳು ಅವನ ನಯನುಡಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವರು. ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಅರಿತವರೋ ದೃಢಚಿತ್ತರಾಗಿ ಕೃತಾರ್ಥರಾಗುವರು.
33 And the intelligent of the people shall understand much: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, and by captivity, and by spoil of [many] days.
೩೩ಜನರಲ್ಲಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಅನೇಕರಿಗೆ ವಿವೇಕ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿ, ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ದಿನ ಕತ್ತಿ, ಬೆಂಕಿ, ಸೆರೆಸೂರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬೀಳುವರು.
34 And when they are weak they shall be helped with a little help: but many shall attach themselves to them with treachery.
೩೪ಬೀಳುವಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಹಾಯ ದೊರೆಯುವುದು. ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಹಳ ಮಂದಿ ನಯವಾದ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
35 And [some] of them that understand shall fall, to try them as with fire, and to test [them], and that they may be manifested at the time of the end, for the matter [is] yet for a [set] time.
೩೫ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಂತ್ಯಕಾಲದವರೆಗೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿರುವರು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಶೋಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ಶುದ್ಧಿಹೊಂದಿ ಶುಭ್ರರಾಗುವರು. ಅಂತ್ಯವು ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೇ ಆಗುವುದು.
36 And he shall do according to his will, and the king shall exalt and magnify himself against every god, and shall speak great swelling words, and shall prosper until the indignation shall be accomplished: for it is coming to an end.
೩೬“ರಾಜನು ತನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಛಾನುಸಾರ ನಡೆದು ತಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡವನೆಂದು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ಉಬ್ಬಿ, ದೇವಾಧಿ ದೇವನನ್ನು ಮಿತಿಮೀರಿ ದೂಷಿಸಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿನ ದೈವ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರುವ ತನಕ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿರುವನು. ದೈವಸಂಕಲ್ಪವು ನೆರವೇರಲೇ ಬೇಕು.
37 And he shall not regard any gods of his fathers, nor the desire of women, neither shall he regard any deity: for he shall magnify himself above all.
೩೭ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಮೋಹಿಸುವ ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಯಾವ ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ತನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
38 And he shall honor the god of forces on his place: and a god whom his fathers knew not he shall honor with gold, and silver, and precious stones, and desirable things.
೩೮ಕುಲದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ದುರ್ಗಾಭಿಮಾನಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಘನಪಡಿಸುವನು; ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದಲೂ, ರತ್ನಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಸೇವಿಸುವನು.
39 And he shall do [thus] in the strong places of refuge with a strange god, and shall increase his glory: and he shall subject many to them, and shall distribute the land in gifts.
೩೯ಅನ್ಯದೇವರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸುವನು; ಯಾರನ್ನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸುವನೋ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವುದು; ಬಹಳ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವನು; ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಂಚುವನು.
40 And at the end of the time he shall conflict with the king of the south: and the king of the north shall come against him with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and they shall enter into the land: and he shall break in pieces, and pass on:
೪೦“ಅಂತ್ಯಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಲು, ಅವನು ರಥಾಶ್ವಬಲಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ಬಹು ನಾವೆಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಕೂಡಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಮೇಲೆ ರಭಸವಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಡುನಾಡುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನುಗ್ಗಿ, ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕಿ ಹರಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
41 and he shall enter into the land of beauty, and many shall fail: but these shall escape out of his hand, Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
೪೧ಅಂದ ಚಂದದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ ನುಗ್ಗುವನು. ಅನೇಕ ಸೀಮೆಗಳು ಅವನಿಂದ ಹಾಳಾಗುವವು. ಆದರೆ ಎದೋಮ್ಯರು, ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರು, ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಭಾಗದವರು, ಅವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
42 And he shall stretch forth [his] hand over the land; and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
೪೨ಅವನು ದೇಶಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಮಾಡಲು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶವೂ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದು.
43 And he shall have the mastery over the secret [treasures] of gold and silver, and over all the desirable [possessions] of Egypt, and of the Libyans and Ethiopians in their strongholds.
೪೩ಅವನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರಗಳ ನಿಧಿನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಒಳ್ಳೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಮಸ್ತ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಶಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಲೂಬ್ಯರೂ, ಕೂಷ್ಯರೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುವರು.
44 But rumors and anxieties out of the east and from the north shall trouble him; and he shall come with great wrath to destroy many.
೪೪ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಪೂರ್ವದಿಂದಲೂ, ಉತ್ತರದಿಂದಲೂ ಬರುವ ಸುದ್ದಿಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವುದು ಅವನು ಅತಿ ರೋಷಗೊಂಡು ಬಹಳ ಜನರನ್ನು ಧ್ವಂಸ ಮಾಡಿ, ನಿರ್ನಾಮ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡುವನು.
45 And he shall pitch the tabernacle of his palace between the seas in the holy mountain of beauty: [but] he shall come to his portion, and there is none to deliver him.
೪೫ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೂ, ಅಂದ ಚಂದದ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪರ್ವತಕ್ಕೂ ನಡುವೆ ಅರಮನೆಯಂಥ ತನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಸುವನು. ಆಹಾ, ಅವನು ಕೊನೆಗಾಣುವನು, ಯಾರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡರು.”
