Amos 3
1 Hear you this word, O house of Israel, which the Lord has spoken concerning you, and against the whole family whom I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying,
Pakaiyin nangho douna thu asei hi ngai jun, Vo Israel leh Judah mite, keiman Egypt gam’a kon’a kahin puidoh na insung pumpi douna-a kisei ahi.
2 You especially have I known out of all the families of the earth: therefore will I take vengeance upon you for all your sins.
“Leiset chung mihem insung jouse lah’a, keiman nangho bou kahet nahiuve. Hijeh’a chu na themmo nau jouse chung’a, tei tu ding nahiuve”
3 Shall two walk together at all, if they do not know one another?
Ajotna ding mun kihoutoh masa louva, mini lampi khat’a kijot khom thei mong hinam?
4 Will a lion roar out of his thicket if he has no prey? will a [lion's] whelp utter his voice at all out of his lair, if he have taken nothing?
Neh ding kimat masah louva, gammang noija sakei bahkai hutum ngai am? Chuleh aneh ding ima kimat louva, sakei bahkai nou jong peng mong hinam?
5 Will a bird fall on the earth without a fowler? will a snare be taken up from the earth without having taken anything?
Anchah beija kikam thang’a, vacha oh thei mong ding ham? Achonpil umlouva tol’a thang kikam chu kipil thei ding ham?
6 Shall the trumpet sound in the city, and the people not be alarmed? shall there be evil in a city which the Lord has not wrought?
Gal ginna pengkul kimut teng, khopi mite tija louva umthei ding ham? Pakaiyin abol louva ahileh khopi chung’a thilse moh lhun thei ding ham?
7 For the Lord God will do nothing, without revealing instruction to his servants the prophets.
Dihtah mong in, Hatchungnung Pakaiyin, alhacha themgao ho henga phongdoh masa louvin, imacha aguh in abol hih hel e.
8 A lion shall roar, and who will not be alarmed? the Lord God has spoken, and who will not prophesy?
Sakei bahkai akitumtai, hijeh chun, koiham akicha lou ding? Hatchungnung Pakaiyin thu asei tai, hijeh chun, koiham Pakai thuseiphong jal lou ding?
9 Proclaim it to the regions among the Assyrians, and to the regions of Egypt, and say, Gather yourselves to the mountain of Samaria, and behold many wonderful things in the midst of it, and the oppression that is in it.

10 And she knew not what things would come against her, says the Lord, [even] those that store up wrong and misery in their countries.
Pakaiyin aseiye, “Kamiten thudihtah’a thil bolje ahaimiltauve. Akulpi hou jong, pumhat leh guchat’a kichom khom nei leh gou dimset in akholkhom tauvin ahi.
11 Therefore thus says the Lord God; O Tyre, your land shall be made desolate round about [you]; and he shall bring down your strength out of you, and your countries shall be spoiled.
Hijeh chun Hatchungnung Pakaiyin aseiye, “Melma na kidoupi khat ahung kon’e. Aman gamsung pumpi aumchah kheh ding, kivenna pal ho jong aloichim ding, chuleh akulpiu jouse jong asuh chim ding ahi.”
12 Thus says the Lord; As when a shepherd rescues from the mouth of a lion two legs or a piece of an ear, so shall be drawn forth the children of Israel who dwell in Samaria in the presence of [a foreign] tribe, and in Damascus.
Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, “Kelngoi chingpan sakei bahkai kam sunga kon’a kalngoi huhdoh agot’a, akeng teni leh abilkol khatseh bou achulhah ham ham ji bang a, Samaria khopi a nomsa tah’a cheng Israel chate leh Damascus khomite chu, alupnau jalkhun ningchong kah’a abong abaiya kiloidoh ding ahiuve.
13 Hear, O you priests, and testify to the house of Jacob, says the Lord God Almighty.
“Ngai uvin, chuleh Israel dounan gamsung pumpia thu gasei jun,” tin, Pakai, van Pathen chun aseiye.
14 For in the day wherein I shall take vengeance of the sins of Israel upon him, I will also take vengeance on the altars of Bethel: and the horns of the altar shall be broken down, and they shall fall upon the ground.
Hche nikho chuleh keiman achonset jal’a Israel chu talen ka matsah ding, Bethel kho’a milimdoi maicham’a saki ka satlhah’a, chuleh maicham phung jong ka suhmang ding ahi.
15 I will crush and strike the turreted-house upon the summer-house; and the ivory-houses shall be destroyed, and many other houses also, says the Lord.
Chuleh mihaosa hon phalbi-in ding’a asah’u innom tah ho leh nipilai-in dinga asah’u inho jong, chuleh saiha-a kisa leng inpiho jong abon’a ka suhmang ding ahi.
