< Amos 2 >
1 Thus says the Lord; For three sins of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away from it; because they burnt the bones of the king of Idumea to lime.

2 But I will send forth a fire on Moab, and it shall devour the foundations of its cities: and Moab shall perish in weakness, with a shout, and with the sound of a trumpet.
Hijeh’a chu keiman Moab gamsung meiya kahal lhah ding, chuleh Kerioth khopi kulpi ho ka suhmang ding ahi. Chuleh Moab mite chu gal’a ka leh mao na thum jeju lah’a, agalmi hon saki amut denuva thigam ding ahiuve”, ati.
3 And I will destroy the judge out of her, and kill all her princes with him, says the Lord.
Chuteng keiman alengpau ka suhmang ding, chuleh leng chapa teu jouse jong ka suhgam ding ahi,” tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
4 Thus says the Lord; For three sins of the children of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away from him; because they have rejected the law of the Lord, and have not kept his ordinances, and their vain [idols] which they made, which their fathers followed, caused them to err.
Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, “Keiman Judah talen manlouva ka lha louhel ding ahi. Ajeh chu amahon chonset abol bol jengun anga deh pouvin ahi. Amahon Pakai peh chondan thuhil don louvin akoijun, chuleh athupeh jong anitdeh pouvin ahi. Apu apateu vamang na jou leh nal’a kilheplhahna ah avahmang gam tauvin ahi.
5 And I will send a fire on Juda, and it shall devour the foundations of Jerusalem.
Hijeh’a chu keiman meiya Judah kahallhah ding, chuleh Jerusalem khopi kulpi ho jong kasuhmang ding ahi,” ati.
6 Thus says the Lord; for three sins of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away from him; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for sandals,
Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, “Keiman Israel talen man louva kalha louhel ding ahi. Ajeh chu, amahon chonset abol bol jeng un angadeh pouvin ahi. Amahon midih jong dangka lhomcha man in ajoh doh’un, chuleh tahlel vaichate jong kengchot to-khat toh aki lheh tauve.
7 wherewith to tread on the dust of the earth, and they have struck upon the heads of the poor, and have perverted the way of the lowly: and a son and his father have gone into the same maid, that they might profane the name of their God.
Amahon tahlel gentheite leivui lah’a achonlut nun, chuleh vaichate jong lampam’a asondoh un ahi. Apa leh achapa jong numei khat kom’a aga lumkhom ji lhon in, keima mintheng chu asuboh tauvin ahi.
8 And binding their clothes with cords they have made them curtains near the altar, and they have drunk wine gained by extortion in the house of their God.
Pathen houna maicham phung dung’a chun, aleiba teuvin, bat sahdoh kah’a ding’a apeh’u, ponsil ho akisil’un akijam leuve. Chuleh a Pathen’u houin sunga jong, thudihlou tah’a mi agap nau Lengpitwi adon uvin ahi.
9 Nevertheless I cut off the Amorite from before them, whose height was as the height of a cedar, and he was strong as an oak; and I dried up his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
Amavang, kamite masang tah’a, Cedar thing banga sang leh Oak thing banga tah, Amor mite ana suhmang peh chu keima kahi. Keiman thingbah lah’a aga jouse jong ka sugam in, chuleh noi lam’a ajung geijin ka kaldoh in ahi.
10 And I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you about in the desert forty years, that you should inherit the land of the Amorites.
Egypt gam’a kon’a nahin pui doh uva chu keima kahi, chuleh kum somli jen nelphai gamthip’a nahinpuileu chu keima kahi. Hijeh’a chu nanghon Amor mite gamsung naloden theiju ahi.
11 And I took of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for consecration. Are not these things so, you sons of Israel? says the Lord.
Keiman na chapa teu phabep themgaovin ka pansah in, chuleh adangho jong Nazir ka hisah e. Vo Israel kamite, nangman hichehi ahipoi tia na seithei ding ham?” tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
12 But you gave the consecrated ones wine to drink; and you commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.
Ahivang in, nangman Nazir ho jong, ju na donsah in chonset na bolsah e. Chuleh themgao ho jong gao thu seilou ding’in naphoh thiptai.
13 Therefore, behold, I roll under you, as a waggon full of straw is rolled.
Hijeh’a chu, keiman thohgim tah’a kalha ding, bongkang changpal dimset kiheng’a uh jen jun bang’a kalha ding, kasuh nem ding nahi.
14 And flight shall perish from the runner, and the strong shall not hold fast his strength, and the warrior shall not save his life:
Nalah uva akal jang pen jong jammang deh lou ding, chuleh atha hat pen jong pang jou dehlou ding ahi. Thahattah’a galsat hon jong, ahinkho akihuh doh joulou diu ahi.
15 and the archer shall not withstand, and he that is swift of foot shall in no wise escape; and the horseman shall not save his life.
Thalpi kap’a pangho jong ding det joulou diu, chuleh Sakol chung touthem ho jong, amaho leh amaho kihuhdoh jou lou diu ahi.
16 And the strong shall find no confidence in power: the naked shall flee away in that day, says the Lord.
Hiche nikho chuleh gal hang pen’a panghon jong, agal manchah’u ase lhah diu chuleh ahindoh nadiuva jamdiu ahi”, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
