Kings IV 25
1 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, [that] Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came, and all his host, against Jerusalem; and he encamped against it, and built a mound against it.
Y aconteció a los nueve años de su reino, en el mes décimo, a los diez del mes, que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia vino con todo su ejército contra Jerusalem: y cercóla, y levantaron contra ella ingenios al derredor.
2 And the city was besieged until the eleventh year of king Sedekias on the ninth day of the month.
Y estuvo la ciudad cercada hasta el onceno año del rey Sedecías.
3 And the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
A los nueve del mes la hambre prevaleció en la ciudad, que no hubo pan para el pueblo de la tierra.
4 And the city was broken up, and all the men of war went forth by night, by the way of the gate between the walls, this is [the gate] of the king's garden: and the Chaldeans [were set] against the city round about: and [the king] went by the way of the plain.
Abierta ya la ciudad, huyeron de noche todos los hombres de guerra por el camino de la puerta que estaba entre los dos muros, junto a los huertos del rey, estando los Caldeos al rededor de la ciudad; y el rey se fue camino de la campaña.
5 And the force of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army was dispersed from about him.
Y el ejército de los Caldeos siguió al rey, y tomóle en las campañas de Jericó, habiéndose esparcido de él todo su ejército.
6 And they took the king, and brought him to the king of Babylon to Reblatha; and he gave judgment upon him.
Y el rey tomado, trajéronle al rey de Babilonia a Rebla, y hablaron con él juicios.
7 And he killed the sons of Sedekias before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Sedekias, and bound him in fetters, and brought him to Babylon.
Y degollaron a los hijos de Sedecías en su presencia, y a Sedecías quebraron los ojos, y atado con dos cadenas lleváronle a Babilonia.
8 And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month (this [is] the nineteenth year of Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon), came Nabuzardan, captain of the guard, who stood before the king of Babylon, to Jerusalem.
En el mes quinto a los siete del mes que era el año de diez y nueve de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, vino a Jerusalem Nabuzardán, capitán de los de la guardia, siervo del rey de Babilonia.
9 And he burnt the house of the Lord, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every house did the captain of the guard burn.
Y quemó la casa de Jehová, y la casa del rey, y todas las casas de Jerusalem: y todas las casas de los principales quemó a fuego.
10 And the force of the Chaldeans pulled down the wall of Jerusalem round about.
Y todo el ejército de los Caldeos que estaba con el capitán de la guardia derribó los muros de Jerusalem al derredor.
11 And Nabuzardan the captain of the guard removed the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the men who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.
Y a los del pueblo que habían quedado en la ciudad, y a los que se habían juntado al rey de Babilonia, y a los que habían quedado del vulgo, Nabuzardán capitán de los de la guardia los trasportó.
12 But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land to be vine-dressers and husbandmen.
Mas de la pobreza de la tierra dejo Nabuzardán capitán de los de la guardia, para que labrasen las viñas y las tierras.
13 And the Chaldeans broke to pieces the brazen pillars that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brazen sea that was in the house of the Lord, and carried their brass to Babylon.
Y las columnas de metal, que estaban en la casa de Jehová, y las basas, y el mar de metal que estaba en la casa de Jehová quebraron los Caldeos, y el metal de ello llevaron a Babilonia.
14 And the caldrons, and the shovels, and the bowls, and the censers, and all the brazen vessels with which they minister, he took.
Los calderos también, y los badiles, y los salterios, y los cucharones, y todos los vasos de metal con que servían, llevaron.
15 And the captain of the guard took the fire-pans, and the gold and silver bowls.
Y los incensarios, y los lebrillos; los que de oro, de oro; y los que de plata, de plata; todo lo llevó el capitán de los de la guardia:
16 Two pillars, and one sea, and the bases which Solomon made for the house of the Lord: there was no weight of the brass of all the vessels.
Las dos columnas, un mar, y las basas, que Salomón había hecho para la casa de Jehová, no había peso de todos estos vasos.
17 The height of one pillar [was] eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was of brass: and the height of the chapiter was three cubits: the border, and the pomegranates on the chapiter round about were all of brass: and so it was with the second pillar with its border.
La altura de la una columna era de diez y ocho codos, y tenía encima un capitel de metal, y la altura del capitel era de tres codos: y sobre el capitel había un enredado, y unas granadas al derredor, todo de metal, y semejante obra había en la otra columna con el enredado.
18 And the captain of the guard took Saraias the high-priest, and Sophonias the second in order, and the three doorkeepers.
Asimismo tomó el capitán de los de la guardia a Saraías primer sacerdote, y a Sofonías segundo sacerdote, y tres guardas de la vajilla.
19 And they took out of the city one eunuch who was commander of the men of war, and five men that saw the face of the king, that were found in the city, and the secretary of the commander-in-chief, who took account of the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land that were found in the city.
Y de la ciudad tomó un eunuco, el cual era maestre de campo, y cinco varones de los continuos del rey que se hallaron en la ciudad, y al escriba príncipe del ejército, que hacía la gente de la tierra, con sesenta varones del pueblo de la tierra que se hallaron en la ciudad.
20 And Nabuzardan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Reblatha.
Estos tomó Nabuzardán capitán de los de la guardia, y llevólos a Rebla al rey de Babilonia.
21 And the king of Babylon struck them and killed them at Reblatha in the land of Aemath. So Juda was carried away from his land.
Y el rey de Babilonia los hirió, y mató en Rebla en tierra de Emat: y así pasó Judá de sobre su tierra.
22 And [as for] the people that were left in the land of Juda, whom Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon left, even over them he set Godolias son of Achicam son of Saphan.
Y al pueblo que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia dejó en tierra de Judá, puso por gobernador a Godolías, hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Safán.
23 And all the captains of the host, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had [thus] appointed Godolias, and they came to Godolias to Massephath, both Ismael the son of Nathanias, and Jona son of Careth, and Saraias, son of Thanamath the Netophathite, and Jezonias son of a Machathite, they and their men.
Y oyendo todos los príncipes del ejército, ellos y los varones, que el rey de Babilonia había puesto por gobernador a Godolías, viniéronse a Godolías en Maspa, es a saber, Ismael, hijo de Natanías, y Johannán, hijo de Carée, y Saraías, hijo de Tanehumet Netofatita, y Jezonías, hijo de Maacati, ellos con los suyos.
24 And Godolias swore to them and their men, and said to them, Fear not the incursion of the Chaldeans; dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
Y Godolías les hizo juramento, a ellos y a los suyos, y díjoles: No hayáis temor de los siervos de los Caldeos: habitád en la tierra, y servíd al rey de Babilonia, y habréis bien.
25 And it came to pass in the seventh month [that] Ismael son of Nathanias son of Helisama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and he struck Godolias, that he died, [him] and the Jews and the Chaldeans that were with him in Massepha.
Y en el mes séptimo vino Ismael, hijo de Natanías, hijo de Elisama de la simiente real, y diez varones con él, e hirieron a Godolías, y murió, y también a los Judíos y Caldeos que estaban con él en Maspa.
26 And all the people, great and small rose up, [they] and the captains of the forces, and went into Egypt; because they were afraid of the Chaldeans.
Entonces levantándose todo el pueblo, desde el menor hasta el mayor, con los capitanes del ejército, fuéronse a Egipto por temor de los Caldeos.
27 And it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the carrying away of Joachim king of Juda, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, [that] Evialmarodec king of Babylon in the [first] year of his reign lifted up the head of Joachim king of Juda, and brought him out of his prison-house.
Y aconteció a los treinta y siete años de la transmigración de Joaquín rey de Judá, en el mes doceno, a los veinte y siete del mes, que Evil-merodac rey de Babilonia, en el primer año de su reino, levantó la cabeza de Joaquín rey de Judá, sacándole de la casa de la cárcel;
28 And he spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the thrones of the kings that were with him in Babylon;
Y hablóle bien, y puso su asiento sobre el asiento de los reyes que con él estaban en Babilonia.
29 And changed his prison garments: and he ate bread continually before him all the days of his life.
Y mudóle los vestidos de su prisión, y comió delante de él continuamente todos los días de su vida.
30 And his portion, a continual portion, was given him out of the house of the king, a daily rate for every day all the days of his life.
Y hacíale dar el rey su comida continuamente, cada cosa en su tiempo, todos los días de su vida.
