Kings IV 11
1 And Gotholia the mother of Ochozias saw that her son was dead, and she destroyed all the seed royal.
Und Athaljah war die Mutter Achasjahus, und sie sah, daß ihr Sohn tot war, und sie machte sich auf und zerstörte allen Samen des Königtums.
2 And Josabee daughter of king Joram, sister of Ochozias, took Joas the son of her brother, and stole him from among the king's sons that were put to death, [secreting] him and his nurse in the bedchamber, and hid him from the face of Gotholia, and he was not slain.
Und Jehoscheba, eine Tochter des Königs Joram, Schwester Achasjahus, nahm den Joasch, den Sohn Achasjahs und stahl ihn mitten aus den Söhnen des Königs, die getötet wurden, ihn und seine Amme in der Kammer der Betten, und verbarg ihn vor Athaljah, so daß er nicht getötet wurde;
3 And he remained with her hid in the house of the Lord six years: and Gotholia reigned over the land.
Und er war bei ihr versteckt im Hause Jehovahs sechs Jahre; Athaljah aber regierte das Land.
4 And in the seventh year Jodae sent and took the captains of hundreds of the Chorri and of the Rhasim, and brought them to him into the house of the Lord, and made a covenant of the Lord with them, and adjured them, and Jodae showed them the king's son.
Und im siebenten Jahre sandte Jehojada und nahm zu sich die Obersten der Hunderte der Kari und der Läufer, und ließ sie zu sich kommen in das Haus Jehovahs, und schloß einen Bund mit ihnen, und ließ sie schwören im Hause Jehovahs und zeigte ihnen den Sohn des Königs;
5 And charged them, saying, This [is] the thing which you shall do.
Und er gebot ihnen und sprach: Das ist es, was ihr tun sollt: Ein Drittel von euch, die am Sabbath hereinkommen, hütet die Hut vom Königshause.
6 Let a third part of you go in [on] the sabbath-day, and keep you the watch of the king's house in the porch; and another third in the gate of the high way, and a third at the gate behind the footmen; and keep you the guard of the house.
Und ein Drittel am Tore Sur und ein Drittel am Tore hinter den Läufern, und ihr hütet der Hut am Hause, zur Abwehr.
7 And there [shall be] two parties among you, even every one that goes out on the Sabbath, and they shall keep the guard of the Lord's house before the king.
Aber zwei Teile von euch, alle, die am Sabbath ausgehen, hütet die Hut des Hauses Jehovahs bei dem König.
8 And do you compass the king about every man with his weapon in his hand, and he that goes into the ranges shall die: and they shall be with the king in his going out and in his coming in.
Und ihr sollt den König ringsum umringen, jeder Mann mit seiner Wehr in seiner Hand, und wer in die Reihen kommt, der soll sterben, und ihr sollt mit bei dem König sein, wenn er ausgeht und wenn er eingeht.
9 And the captains of hundreds did all things that the wise Jodae commanded; and they took each his men, both those that went in on the sabbath-day, and those that went out on the sabbath-day, and went in to Jodae the priest.
Und die Obersten der Hunderte taten nach allem, was ihnen Jehojada, der Priester, gebot und sie nahmen jeder Mann seine Männer, die am Sabbath eingingen, samt denen, die am Sabbath ausgingen, und kamen zu Jehojada, dem Priester,
10 And the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the swords and spears of king David that were in the house of the Lord.
Und der Priester gab den Obersten der Hunderte die Spieße und Schilde, die des Königs David gewesen waren, die im Hause Jehovahs waren.
11 And the footmen stood each with his weapon in his hand from the right corner of the house to the left corner of the house, [by] the altar and the house round about the king.
Und die Läufer standen, jeder Mann mit seiner Wehr in seiner Hand, von der rechten Seite des Hauses bis zur linken Seite des Hauses bei dem Altar und bei dem Hause, ringsum bei dem König.
12 And he brought forth the king's son, and put upon him the crown and [gave him] the testimony; and he made him king, and anointed him: and they clapped [their] hands, and said, Long live the king.
Und er brachte den Sohn des Königs heraus, und gab auf ihn das Diadem und das Zeugnis; und sie machten ihn zum König und salbten ihn und schlugen in die Hände und sprachen: Es lebe der König!
13 And Gotholia heard the sound of the people running, and she went in to the people to the house of the Lord.
Und Athaljah hörte die Stimme der Läufer, des Volkes, und sie kam zum Volk in das Haus Jehovahs.
14 And she looked, and, behold, the king stood near a pillar according to the manner; and the singers and the trumpeters were before the king and all the people of the land [even] rejoicing and sounding with trumpets: and Gotholia tore her garments, and cried, A conspiracy, a conspiracy.
Und sie sah, und siehe, der König stand bei der Säule nach dem Rechte, und die Obersten und die Trompeten beim König, und alles Volk des Landes war fröhlich, und man stieß in die Trompeten. Da zerriß Athaljah ihre Kleider und rief: Verschwörung, Verschwörung!
15 And Jodae the priest commanded the captains of hundreds who were over the host, and said to them, Bring her forth without the ranges, [and] he that goes in after her shall certainly die by the sword. For the priest said, Let her not however be slain in the house of the Lord.
Und Jehojada, der Priester, gebot den Obersten der Hunderte, die über die Streitmacht bestellt waren, und sprach zu ihnen: Bringt sie hinaus innerhalb der Reihen, und wer hinter ihr kommt, der sterbe durch das Schwert; denn, so sprach der Priester, sie soll nicht in dem Hause Jehovahs sterben.
16 And they laid hands upon her, and went in by the way of the horses' entrance into the house of the Lord, and she was slain there.
Und sie legten ihre Hände an sie, und sie ging hinein auf dem Wege des Eingangs der Rosse in das Haus des Königs und ward allda getötet.
17 And Jodae made a covenant between the Lord and the king and the people, that they should be the Lord's people; also between the king and the people.
Und Jehojada schloß den Bund zwischen Jehovah und dem König und dem Volke, daß sie ein Volk für Jehovah sein sollten, und zwischen dem König und dem Volk.
18 And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and tore it down, and completely broke in pieces his altars and his images, and they killed Mathan the priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest appointed overseers over the house of the Lord.
Und alles Volk des Landes kam nach dem Hause Baals, und sie rissen seine Altäre ein und zerbrachen seine Bilder wohl, und erwürgten Matthan, den Priester Baals, vor den Altären; und der Priester setzte Amtleute über das Haus Jehovahs.
19 And he took the captains of the hundreds, and the Chorri, and the Rhasim, and all the people of the land, and brought down the king out of the house of the Lord; and they went in by the way of the gate of the footmen of the king's house, and seated him there on the throne of the kings.
Und er nahm die Obersten der Hunderte und die Kari und die Läufer und alles Volk des Landes, und sie brachten den König hinab aus dem Hause Jehovahs und zogen hinein des Weges durch das Läufertor in das Haus des Königs; und er saß auf dem Throne der Könige.
20 And all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was at rest: and they killed Gotholia with the sword in the house of the king.
Und alles Volk des Landes war fröhlich, und die Stadt war ruhig; Athaljah aber hatten sie im Hause des Königs mit dem Schwert getötet.
21 Joas [was] seven years old when he began to reign.
Sieben Jahre war Jehoasch alt, da er König wurde.
