Chronicles II 33
1 Manasses was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
മനശ്ശെ വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു പന്ത്രണ്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അമ്പത്തഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു.
2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord destroyed from before the face of the children of Israel.
യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ ജാതികളുടെ മ്ലേച്ഛതകളെപ്പോലെ അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.
3 And he returned and built the high places, which his father Ezekias had pulled down, and set up images to Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന പൂജാഗിരികളെ വീണ്ടും പണിതു, ബാൽവിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കു ബലിപീഠങ്ങളെ തീർത്തു, അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ആകാശത്തിലെ സർവ്വസൈന്യത്തെയും നമസ്കരിച്ചു സേവിച്ചു.
4 And he built altars in the house of the Lord, concerning which the Lord said, In Jerusalem shall be my name for ever.
യെരൂശലേമിൽ എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലും അവൻ ബലിപീഠങ്ങൾ പണിതു.
5 And he built altars to all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രാകാരം രണ്ടിലും അവൻ ആകാശത്തിലെ സൈന്യത്തിന്നു ബലിപീഠങ്ങൾ പണിതു.
6 He also passed his children through the fire in the valley of Benennom; and he divined, and used auspices, and sorceries, and appointed those who had divining spirits, and enchanters, and wrought abundant wickedness before the Lord, to provoke him.
അവൻ തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്‌വരയിൽ അഗ്നിപ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിച്ചു; മുഹുർത്തം നോക്കി, ആഭിചാരങ്ങളും ക്ഷുദ്രങ്ങളും പ്രയോഗിച്ചു, വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്മാരെയും ലക്ഷണം പറയുന്നവരെയും നിയമിച്ചു, യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു പലതും ചെയ്തു അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു.
7 And he set the graven [image], the molten [statue], the idol which he made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name for ever;
താൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹപ്രതിമയെ അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു; ഈ ആലയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ: ഈ ആലയത്തിലും ഞാൻ എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേൽഗോത്രങ്ങളിലുംനിന്നു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമിലും ഞാൻ എന്റെ നാമം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥാപിക്കും എന്നും
8 and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land which I gave to their fathers, if only they will take heed to do all things which I have commanded them, according to all the law and the ordinances and the judgments [given] by the hand of Moses.
ഞാൻ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം യിസ്രായേലിനോടു കല്പിച്ച സകലന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെയും ചട്ടങ്ങളെയും ന്യായങ്ങളെയും അനുസരിച്ചുനടപ്പാൻ അവർ സൂക്ഷിക്കുമെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കായി നിശ്ചയിച്ച ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവരുടെ കാൽ ഞാൻ ഇനി നീക്കിക്കളകയില്ല എന്നും ദൈവം ദാവീദിനോടും അവന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
9 So Manasses led astray Juda and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to do evil beyond all the nations which the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel.
അങ്ങനെ മനശ്ശെ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽപുത്രന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ച ജാതികൾ ചെയ്തതിലും അധികം വഷളത്വം പ്രവർത്തിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം യെഹൂദയെയും യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളെയും തെറ്റുമാറാക്കി.
10 And the Lord spoke to Manasses, and to his people: but they listened not.
യഹോവ മനശ്ശെയോടും അവന്റെ ജനത്തോടും സംസാരിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവർ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചില്ല.
11 And the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, and they took Manasses in bonds, and bound him in fetters, and brought him to Babylon.
ആകയാൽ യഹോവ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ സേനാധിപതിമാരെ അവരുടെ നേരെ വരുത്തി; അവർ മനശ്ശെയെ കൊളുത്തുകളാൽ പിടിച്ചു ചങ്ങലയിട്ടു ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
12 And when he was afflicted, he sought the face of the Lord his God, and was greatly humbled before the face of the God of his fathers;
കഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആയപ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു, തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ തന്നേത്താൻ ഏറ്റവും താഴ്ത്തി അവനോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.
13 and he prayed to him: and he listened to him, and listened to his cry, and brought him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom: and Manasses knew that the Lord he is God.
അവൻ അവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കൈക്കൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ യാചന കേട്ടു അവനെ വീണ്ടും യെരൂശലേമിൽ അവന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിന്നു തിരിച്ചു വരുത്തി; യഹോവ തന്നേ ദൈവം എന്നു മനശ്ശെക്കു ബോധമായി.
14 And afterward he built a wall without the city of David, from the southwest southward in the valleys and at the entrance through the fish-gate, as men go out by the gate round about, even as far as Opel: and he raised it much, and set captains of the host in all the fortified cities in Juda.
അതിന്റെശേഷം അവൻ ഗീഹോന്നു പടിഞ്ഞാറുതാഴ്‌വരയിൽ മീൻവാതിലിന്റെ പ്രവേശനംവരെ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിന്നു ഒരു പുറമതിൽ പണിതു; അവൻ അതു ഓഫേലിന്നു ചുറ്റും വളരെ പൊക്കത്തിൽ പണിയുകയും യെഹൂദയിലെ ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ സേനാധിപന്മാരെ പാർപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
15 And he removed the strange gods, and the graven [image] out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars which he had built in the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Jerusalem, and without the city.
അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽനിന്നു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെയും വിഗ്രഹത്തെയും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം നില്ക്കുന്ന പർവ്വതത്തിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും താൻ പണിതിരുന്ന സകലബലിപീഠങ്ങളെയും നീക്കി നഗരത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു.
16 And he repaired the altar of the Lord, and offered upon it a sacrifice of peace-offering and thank-offering, and he told Juda to serve the Lord God of Israel.
അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠം നന്നാക്കി, അതിന്മേൽ സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിച്ചു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ സേവിപ്പാൻ യെഹൂദയോടു കല്പിച്ചു.
17 Nevertheless the people still sacrificed on the high places, only to the Lord their God.
എന്നാൽ ജനം പൂജാഗിരികളിൽ യാഗം കഴിച്ചുപോന്നു; എങ്കിലും തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു അത്രേ.
18 And the rest of the acts of Manasses, and his prayer to God, and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of the God of Israel,
മനശ്ശെയുടെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ തന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു കഴിച്ച പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ച ദർശകന്മാരുടെ വചനങ്ങളും യിസ്രായേൽരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
19 behold, [they are] in the account of his prayer; and [God] listened to him. And all his sins, and his backslidings, and the spots on which he built the high places, and set there groves and graven images, before he repented, behold, they are written in the books of the seers.
അവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയും ദൈവം അവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേട്ടതും അവൻ തന്നേത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തിയതിന്നു മുമ്പെയുള്ള അവന്റെ സകല പാപവും അകൃത്യവും അവൻ പൂജാഗിരികളെ പണികയും അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെയും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കയും ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലങ്ങളും ദർശകന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 And Manasses slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the garden of his house: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
മനശ്ശെ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവനെ അവന്റെ അരമനയിൽ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ആമോൻ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.
21 Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.
ആമോൻ വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു.
22 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasses did: and Amon sacrificed to all the idols which his father Manasses had made, and served them.
അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ മനശ്ശെ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു, തന്റെ അപ്പനായ മനശ്ശെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ സകല വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കും ആമോൻ ബലികഴിച്ചു അവയെ സേവിച്ചു.
23 And he was not humbled before the Lord as his father Manasses was humbled; for his son Amon abounded in transgression.
തന്റെ അപ്പനായ മനശ്ശെ തന്നേത്താൻ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ താഴ്ത്തിയതുപോലെ അവൻ തന്നേത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തിയില്ല; ആമോൻ മേല്ക്കുമേൽ അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തതേയുള്ളു.
24 And his servants conspired against him, and killed him in his house.
അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ അവന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി അവനെ അവന്റെ നേരെ അരമനയിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.
25 And the people of the land killed the men who had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josias his son king in his stead.
എന്നാൽ ദേശത്തെ ജനം ആമോൻ രാജാവിന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയവരെയൊക്കെയും കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു; ദേശത്തെ ജനം അവന്റെ മകനായ യോശീയാവെ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവാക്കി.
