< Chronicles II 23 >

1 And in the eighth year Jodae strengthened [himself], and took the captains of hundreds, Azarias the son of Joram, and Ismael the son of Joanan, and Azarias the son of Obed, and Maasaeas the son of Adia, and Elisaphan the son of Zacharias, with him to the house of the Lord.
Ní ọdún keje, Jehoiada fi agbára rẹ̀ hàn. O dá májẹ̀mú pẹ̀lú àwọn alákòóso ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún kan, Asariah ọmọ Jerohamu, Iṣmaeli ọmọ Jehohanani Asariah ọmọ Obedi, Maaseiah ọmọ Adaiah àti Elisafati ọmọ Sikri.
2 And they went round about Juda, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Juda, and heads of the families of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem.
Wọ́n lọ sí gbogbo Juda, wọ́n sì pe àwọn ará Lefi àti àwọn olórí àwọn ìdílé àwọn ará Israẹli láti gbogbo àwọn ìlú jọ. Nígbà tí wọ́n wá sí Jerusalẹmu.
3 and all the congregation of Juda made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he showed them the king's son, and said to them, Behold, let the king's son reign, as the Lord said concerning the house of David.
Gbogbo ìpéjọ náà dá májẹ̀mú pẹ̀lú ọba ní ilé Ọlọ́run. Jehoiada wí fún wọn pé, “Ọmọkùnrin ọba yóò jẹ ọba, bí Olúwa ti ṣèlérí nípa àwọn ìran Dafidi.
4 Now this [is] the thing which you shall do. Let a third part of you, [even] of the priests and of the Levites, enter in on the sabbath, even into the gates of the entrances;
Nísinsin yìí èyí ni ohun tí ó yẹ kí ó ṣe, ìdámẹ́ta àlùfáà yín àti àwọn ará Lefi tí ó ń lọ fún iṣẹ́ ìsìn ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi ni kí ó bojútó àwọn ìlẹ̀kùn.
5 and let a third part be in the house of the king; and another third at the middle gate: and all the people in the courts of the Lord's house.
Ìdámẹ́ta yín níbi ààfin ọba àti ìdámẹ́ta níbi ẹnu odi ìdásílẹ̀ àti gbogbo ọkùnrin mìíràn ni kí ó wà ní àgbàlá ààfin ilé Olúwa.
6 And let not [any one] enter into the house of the Lord, except the priests and the Levites, and the servants of the Levites; they shall enter in, because they are holy: and let all the people keep the watch of the Lord.
Kò sí ẹnìkan tí ó gbọdọ̀ wọ inú ilé Olúwa yàtọ̀ sí àwọn àlùfáà àti àwọn ará Lefi tí a rán ní iṣẹ́ ìsìn. Wọ́n lè wọlé nítorí tí a ti yà wọ́n sọ́tọ̀, ṣùgbọ́n gbogbo ọkùnrin mìíràn ni kí wọn ó sọ ohun tí Olúwa ti yàn fún wọn.
7 And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man's weapon in his hand; and whoever [else] goes into the house shall die: but they shall be with the king when he goes out, and when he comes in.
Àwọn ará Lefi gbọdọ̀ wà ní ìdúró ṣinṣin yí ọba ká. Olúkúlùkù pẹ̀lú àwọn nǹkan ìjà ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀. Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá wọ ilé Olúwa ni kí ẹ pa. Ẹ dúró ti ọba níbikíbi tí ó bá lọ.”
8 And the Levites and all Juda did according to all that the priest Jodae commanded them, and they took each his men from the beginning of the sabbath to the end of the sabbath, for Jodae the priest did not dismiss the courses.
Àwọn ará Lefi àti gbogbo ọkùnrin Juda ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí Jehoiada àlùfáà ti paláṣẹ. Olúkúlùkù mú àwọn ọkùnrin rẹ̀, àwọn tí wọ́n lọ fún iṣẹ́ ìsìn ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi àti àwọn tí wọ́n ń kúrò ní ibi iṣẹ́. Nítorí Jehoiada àlùfáà kò ì tí tú ìpín kankan sílẹ̀.
9 And Jodae gave to the men the swords, and the shields, and the arms, which [had] belonged to King David, in the house of God.
Jehoiada àlùfáà, sì fi ọ̀kọ̀ àti asà, àti àpáta wọ̀n-ọn-nì, tí ó jẹ́ ti ọba Dafidi tí wọn wà ní ilé Ọlọ́run, fún àwọn balógun ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún.
10 And he set the whole people, every man with his arms, from the right side of the house to the left side of the altar and the house, over against the king round about.
Ó sì to gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn ti ọba káàkiri, olúkúlùkù pẹ̀lú ohun ìjà rẹ̀ ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀, láti apá ọ̀tún ilé náà títí dé apá òsì ilé náà, lẹ́bàá pẹpẹ àti lẹ́bàá ilé náà.
11 And he brought out the king's son, and put on him the crown and the testimony, and Jodae the priest and his sons proclaimed him king, and anointed him, and said, Long live the king!
Jehoiada àti àwọn ọmọkùnrin rẹ̀ mú ọmọkùnrin ọba jáde wá wọ́n sì gbé adé sórí rẹ̀; wọ́n mú ẹ̀dà májẹ̀mú kan fún un. Wọ́n sì kéde rẹ̀ lọ́ba. Wọ́n fi àmì òróró yàn án, wọ́n sì kígbe pé, “Kí ọba kí ó pẹ́!”
12 And Gotholia heard the sound of the people running, and acknowledging and praising the king: and she went in to the king into the house of the Lord.
Nígbà tí Ataliah gbọ́ igbe àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n ń sáré tí wọ́n ń kígbe ọba, ó lọ sí ọ̀dọ̀ wọn ní ilé Olúwa.
13 And she looked, and, behold, the king [stood] in his place, and the princes and trumpets were at the entrance, and the princes were round the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded the trumpets, and there were the singers singing with instruments, and singing hymns of praise. and Gotholia tore her robe, and cried, you surely are plotting against [me].
Ó sì wò, sì kíyèsi, ọba dúró ní ibùdó rẹ̀ ní ẹ̀bá ẹnu-ọ̀nà, àti àwọn balógun àti àwọn afùnpè lọ́dọ̀ ọba, gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn ilẹ̀ náà sì yọ̀, wọ́n sì fọn ìpè, àti àwọn akọrin pẹ̀lú ohun èlò ìyìn. Nígbà náà ni Ataliah fa aṣọ rẹ̀ ya, ó sì kégbe wí pé, “Ọ̀tẹ̀! Ọ̀tẹ̀!”
14 And Jodae the priest went forth, and Jodae the priest charged the captains of hundreds, even the captains of the host, and said to them, Thrust her forth outside the house, and follow her, and let her be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Let her not be slain in the house of the Lord.
Jehoiada àlùfáà mú àwọn alákòóso ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún, tí ó wà ní àbojútó àwọn ọ̀wọ́ ogun, ó sì wá wí fún wọn pé, “Mú un jáde wá láàrín àwọn ọgbà, kí a sì fi idà pa ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá tẹ̀lé.” Nítorí tí àlùfáà ti wí pé, “Má ṣe pa á nínú ilé Olúwa.”
15 So they let her go [out]; and she went through the horsemen's gate of the house of the king, and they killed her there.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n fi ipá mú un kí ó tó dé ẹnu-ọ̀nà àbáwọlé ẹṣin ti ilé ọba, wọ́n sì ti pa á níbẹ̀.
16 And Jodae made a covenant between himself, and the people, and the king, that the people should be the Lord's.
Nígbà náà ni Jehoiada, dá májẹ̀mú pé òun àti àwọn ènìyàn àti ọba yóò jẹ́ ènìyàn Olúwa.
17 And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and tore down it and its altars, and they ground his images to powder, and they killed Matthan the priest of Baal before his altars.
Gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn lọ sí ilé Baali, wọ́n sì fà á ya lulẹ̀. Wọ́n fọ́ àwọn pẹpẹ àti àwọn òrìṣà, wọ́n sì pa Mattani àlùfáà Baali níwájú àwọn pẹpẹ.
18 And Jodae the priest committed the works of the house of the Lord into the and of the priests and Levites, and he re-established the courses of the priests and Levites which David appointed over the house of the Lord, and [he appointed them] to offer whole burnt offerings to the Lord, as it is written in the law of Moses, with gladness, and with songs by the hand of David.
Nígbà náà, Jehoiada tẹ àwòrán ilé Olúwa sí ọwọ́ àwọn àlùfáà tí wọ́n jẹ́ ará Lefi ẹni tí Dafidi ti fi ṣe iṣẹ́ ní ilé Olúwa láti tẹ ẹbọ sísun ti Olúwa bí a ti kọ ọ́ nínú òfin Mose, pẹ̀lú ayọ̀ àti orin kíkọ, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Dafidi ti pàṣẹ.
19 And the porters stood at the gates of the house of the Lord, that no one unclean in any respect should enter in.
Ó mú àwọn olùṣọ́nà wà ni ipò ìdúró ní ẹnu odi ilé Olúwa kí ẹni aláìmọ́ nínú ohunkóhun kó má ba à wọlé.
20 And he took the heads of families, and the mighty men, and the chiefs of the people, and all the people of the land, and they conducted the king into the house of the Lord; and he went through the inner gate into the king's house, and they seated the king on the throne of the kingdom.
Ó mú pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ àwọn alákòóso ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún, àwọn ẹni ọlá, àwọn olórí àwọn ènìyàn àti gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn ilẹ̀ náà. Ó sì mú ọba sọ̀kalẹ̀ wá láti ilé Olúwa. Wọ́n lọ sínú ààfin láti ẹnu òde ti òkè. Wọ́n sì fi ọba jókòó lórí ìtẹ́.
21 And all the people of the land rejoiced; and the city was quiet: and they killed Gotholia.
Gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn ilẹ̀ náà sì yọ̀, ìlú náà sì dákẹ́ rọ́rọ́. Nítorí a pa Ataliah pẹ̀lú idà.
