Chronicles II 23
1 And in the eighth year Jodae strengthened [himself], and took the captains of hundreds, Azarias the son of Joram, and Ismael the son of Joanan, and Azarias the son of Obed, and Maasaeas the son of Adia, and Elisaphan the son of Zacharias, with him to the house of the Lord.
सातवे साल यहूयदा' ने ज़ोर पकड़ा और सैकड़ों के सरदारों या'नी 'अज़रियाह बिन यहूराम और इस्मा'ईल बिन यहूहनान और अज़रियाह बिन 'ओबेद और मासियाह बिन 'अदायाह और इलीसाफ़त बिन ज़िकरी से 'अहद बाँधा।
2 And they went round about Juda, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Juda, and heads of the families of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem.
वह यहूदाह में फिरे, और यहूदाह के सब शहरों में से लावियों को, और इस्राईल के आबाई ख़ान्दानों के सरदारों को इकट्ठा किया, और वह येरूशलेम में आए।
3 and all the congregation of Juda made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he showed them the king's son, and said to them, Behold, let the king's son reign, as the Lord said concerning the house of David.
और सारी जमा'अत ने ख़ुदा के घर में बादशाह के साथ 'अहद बाँधा, और यहूयदा' ने उनसे कहा, “देखो! यह शाहज़ादा जैसा ख़ुदावन्द ने बनी दाऊद के हक़ में फ़रमाया है, हुकूमत करेगा।
4 Now this [is] the thing which you shall do. Let a third part of you, [even] of the priests and of the Levites, enter in on the sabbath, even into the gates of the entrances;
जो काम तुम को करना है वह यह है कि तुम काहिनों और लावियों में से जो सब्त को आते हो, एक तिहाई दरबान हो,
5 and let a third part be in the house of the king; and another third at the middle gate: and all the people in the courts of the Lord's house.
और एक तिहाई शाही महल पर, और एक तिहाई बुनियाद के फाटक पर; और सब लोग ख़ुदावन्द के घर के सहनों में हो।
6 And let not [any one] enter into the house of the Lord, except the priests and the Levites, and the servants of the Levites; they shall enter in, because they are holy: and let all the people keep the watch of the Lord.
पर ख़ुदावन्द के घर में सिवा काहिनों के और उनके जो लावियों में से ख़िदमत करते हैं, और कोई न आने पाए वही अन्दर आए क्यूँकि वह मुक़द्दस है लेकिन सब लोग ख़ुदावन्द का पहरा देते रहें।
7 And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man's weapon in his hand; and whoever [else] goes into the house shall die: but they shall be with the king when he goes out, and when he comes in.
और लावी अपने अपने हाथ में अपने हथियार लिए हुए बादशाह को चारों तरफ़ से घेरे रहे, और जो कोई हैकल में आए क़त्ल किया जाए और बादशाह जब अन्दर आए और बाहर निकले तो तुम उसके साथ रहना।”
8 And the Levites and all Juda did according to all that the priest Jodae commanded them, and they took each his men from the beginning of the sabbath to the end of the sabbath, for Jodae the priest did not dismiss the courses.
इसलिए लावियों और सारे यहूदाह ने यहूयदा' काहिन के हुक्म के मुताबिक़ सब कुछ किया, और उनमें से हर शख़्स ने अपने लोगों को लिया, या'नी उनको जो सब्त को अन्दर आते थे और उनको जो सब्त को बाहर चले जाते थे; क्यूँकि यहूयदा' काहिन ने बारी वालों को रुख़सत नहीं किया था।
9 And Jodae gave to the men the swords, and the shields, and the arms, which [had] belonged to King David, in the house of God.
और यहूयदा' काहिन ने दाऊद बादशाह की बर्छियाँ और ढालें और फरियाँ, जो ख़ुदा के घर में थीं, सैंकड़ों सरदारों को दीं।
10 And he set the whole people, every man with his arms, from the right side of the house to the left side of the altar and the house, over against the king round about.
और उसने सब लोगों को जो अपना अपना हथियार हाथ में लिए हुए थे, हैकल की दहनी तरफ़ से उसकी बाई तरफ़ तक, मज़बह और हैकल के पास बादशाह के चारो तरफ़ खड़ा कर दिया।
11 And he brought out the king's son, and put on him the crown and the testimony, and Jodae the priest and his sons proclaimed him king, and anointed him, and said, Long live the king!
फिर वह शाहज़ादे को बाहर लाए, और उसके सिर पर ताज रखकर गवाही नामा दिया और उसे बादशाह बनाया; और यहूयदा' और उसके बेटों ने उसे मसह किया, और वह बोल उठे, “बादशाह सलामत रहे।”
12 And Gotholia heard the sound of the people running, and acknowledging and praising the king: and she went in to the king into the house of the Lord.
जब 'अतलियाह ने लोगों का शोर सुना, जो दौड़ दौड़ कर बादशाह की तारीफ़ कर रहे थे, तो वह ख़ुदावन्द के घर में लोगों के पास आई।
13 And she looked, and, behold, the king [stood] in his place, and the princes and trumpets were at the entrance, and the princes were round the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded the trumpets, and there were the singers singing with instruments, and singing hymns of praise. and Gotholia tore her robe, and cried, you surely are plotting against [me].
और उसने निगाह की और क्या देखा कि बादशाह फाटक में अपने सुतून के पास खड़ा है, और बादशाह के नज़दीक हाकिम और नरसिंगे हैं और सारी ममलकत के लोग ख़ुश हैं और नरसिंगे फूंक रहे हैं, और गानेवाले बाजों को लिए हुए मदहसराई करने में पेशवाई कर रहे हैं। तब 'अतलियाह ने अपने कपड़े फाड़े और कहा, “गद्र है! गद्र!”
14 And Jodae the priest went forth, and Jodae the priest charged the captains of hundreds, even the captains of the host, and said to them, Thrust her forth outside the house, and follow her, and let her be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Let her not be slain in the house of the Lord.
तब यहूयदा' काहिन सैकड़ों के सरदारों को जो लश्कर पर मुक़र्रर थे, बाहर ले आया और उनसे कहा कि उसको सफ़ों के बीच करके निकाल ले जाओ, और जो कोई उसके पीछे चले वह तलवार से मारा जाए। क्यूँकि काहिन कहने लगा कि ख़ुदावन्द के घर में उसे क़त्ल न करो।
15 So they let her go [out]; and she went through the horsemen's gate of the house of the king, and they killed her there.
इसलिए उन्होंने उसके लिए रास्ता छोड़ दिया, और वह शाही महल के घोड़ा फाटक के सहन को गई, और वहाँ उन्होंने उसे क़त्ल कर दिया
16 And Jodae made a covenant between himself, and the people, and the king, that the people should be the Lord's.
फिर यहूयदा' ने अपने और सब लोगों और बादशाह के बीच 'अहद बाँधा कि वह ख़ुदावन्द के लोग हों।
17 And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and tore down it and its altars, and they ground his images to powder, and they killed Matthan the priest of Baal before his altars.
तब सब लोग बा'ल के मन्दिर को गए और उसे ढाया; और उन्होंने उसके मज़बहों और उसकी मूरतों को चकनाचूर किया, और बा'ल के पुजारी मतान को मज़बहों के सामने क़त्ल किया।
18 And Jodae the priest committed the works of the house of the Lord into the and of the priests and Levites, and he re-established the courses of the priests and Levites which David appointed over the house of the Lord, and [he appointed them] to offer whole burnt offerings to the Lord, as it is written in the law of Moses, with gladness, and with songs by the hand of David.
और यहूयदा' ने ख़ुदावन्द की हैकल की ख़िदमत लावी काहिनों के हाथ में सौंपी, जिनको दाऊद' ने ख़ुदावन्द की हैकल में अलग अलग ठहराया था कि ख़ुदावन्द की सोख़्तनी क़ुर्बानियाँ जैसा मूसा की तौरेत में लिखा है, ख़ुशी मनाते हुए और गाते हुए दाऊद के दस्तूर के मुताबिक़ अदा करेंगे।
19 And the porters stood at the gates of the house of the Lord, that no one unclean in any respect should enter in.
और उसने ख़ुदावन्द की हैकल के फाटकों पर दरबानों को बिठाया, ताकि जो कोई किसी तरह से नापाक हो, अन्दर आने न पाए।
20 And he took the heads of families, and the mighty men, and the chiefs of the people, and all the people of the land, and they conducted the king into the house of the Lord; and he went through the inner gate into the king's house, and they seated the king on the throne of the kingdom.
और उसने सैकड़ों के सरदारों और हाकिम और क़ौम के हाकिमों और मुल्क के सब लोगों को साथ लिया, और बादशाह को ख़ुदावन्द की हैकल से ले आया, और वह ऊपर के फाटक से शाही महल में आए और बादशाह की तख़्त — ए — हुकूमत पर बिठाया।
21 And all the people of the land rejoiced; and the city was quiet: and they killed Gotholia.
तब मुल्क के सब लोगों ने ख़ुशी मनाई और शहर में अमन हुआ। उन्होंने 'अतलियाह को तलवार से क़त्ल कर दिया।
