< Chronicles II 17 >
1 And Josaphat his son reigned in his stead, Josaphat strengthened himself against Israel.
Jehoshafat nwa ya ghọrọ eze nʼọnọdụ ya, o mere onwe ya ka ọ dị ike imegide Izrel.
2 And he put garrisons in all the strong cities of Juda, and appointed captains in all the cities of Juda, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
O tinyere ụfọdụ ndị agha ya nʼobodo niile dị na Juda e wusiri ike, tinyekwa ụfọdụ nʼobodo ndị ọzọ dị nʼIfrem, na ebe ndị ọzọ niile nke nna ya, Asa meriri nʼagha.
3 And the Lord was with Josaphat, for he walked in the first ways of his father, and did not seek to idols;
Onyenwe anyị nọnyeere Jehoshafat nʼihi na o sooro nzọ ụkwụ nna ya, bụ Devid, onye buuru ya ụzọ chịa. Ọ jụghị ase site nʼaka Baal,
4 but he sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in the commandments of his father, and not according to the works of Israel.
kama ọ chọrọ Onyenwe anyị, Chineke nna ya, dobekwa iwu ya niile, ọ bụghịkwa dịka omume ndị Izrel si dị.
5 And the Lord prospered the kingdom in his hand; and all Juda gave gifts to Josaphat; and he had great wealth and glory.
Nʼihi nke a Onyenwe anyị mere ka ọchịchị ya guzosie ike. Ndị Juda niile tụkwara ụtụ ha dịka o kwesiri wetara Jehoshafat, nke a mere ka o nwee akụnụba ebe ọ dị ukwuu, nwekwa nsọpụrụ.
6 And his heart was exalted in the way of the Lord; and he removed the high places and the groves from the land of Juda.
O ji obi ya niile gbasoo ụzọ Onyenwe anyị. Ọzọkwa, o sitere na Juda wezuga ebe niile dị elu nakwa ogidi Ashera niile.
7 And in the third year of his reign, he sent his chief men, and his mighty men, Abdias and Zacharias, and Nathanael, and Michaias, to teach in the cities of Juda.
Nʼafọ nke atọ nke ọchịchị ya, o zipụrụ ndịisi ọchịchị alaeze ya ndị a, Ben-Hail, Ọbadaya, Zekaraya, Netanel na Mikaya ka ha gaa zie ndị mmadụ ihe nʼobodo niile nke Juda.
8 And with them [were] the Levites, Samaias, and Nathanias, and Zabdias, and Asiel, and Semiramoth, and Jonathan, and Adonias, and Tobias, and Tobadonias, Levites, and with them Elisama and Joram, the priests.
Ụfọdụ ndị Livayị ndị a sokwa gaa: Shemaya, Netanaya, Zebadaya, Asahel, Shemiramot, Jehonatan, Adonaịja, Tobaija, Tob-Adonaịja na ndị nchụaja ụfọdụ, ndị dị ka Elishama na Jehoram.
9 And they taught in Juda, and [there was] with them the book of the law of the Lord, and they passed through the cities of Juda, and taught the people.
Ha ji akwụkwọ iwu Onyenwe anyị, zie ihe na Juda. Ha jere gburugburu obodo niile nke Juda na-ezi ndị mmadụ ihe.
10 And a terror of the Lord was upon all the kingdoms of the land round about Juda, and they made no war against Josaphat.
Egwu Onyenwe anyị dakwasịrị alaeze niile dị gburugburu Juda, nʼihi ya, ha ebukwaghị agha megide Jehoshafat.
11 And [some] of the Philistines brought to Josaphat gifts, and silver, and presents; and the Arabians brought him seven thousand seven hundred rams.
Ụfọdụ nʼime ndị Filistia wetaara ya onyinye na ọlaọcha kwa afọ nʼụzọ ịkwanyere ya ugwu, ma ndị Arab, wetaara ya igwe anụ ụlọ dị puku ebule asaa na narị asaa, na puku mkpi asaa na narị asaa.
12 And Josaphat increased in greatness exceedingly, and built in Judea places of abode, and strong cities.
Ya mere, Jehoshafat ghọrọ eze dị ike. O wusiri obodo ndị dị na Juda ike, wukwaa obodo ịchịkọba ihe.
13 And he had many works in Judea: and the mighty men of war, [the men] of strength, [were] in Jerusalem.
O nwekwara ihe ndị ọ chịkọbara nʼọtụtụ obodo Juda. O debekwara ndị agha ibu agha doro anya nʼime Jerusalem.
14 And this [is] their number according to the houses of their fathers; even the captains of thousands in Juda [were], Ednas the chief, and with him mighty men of strength three hundred thousand.

15 And after him, Joanan the captain, and with him two hundred eighty thousand.
onye na-eso ya bụ Jehohanan, onyeisi agha, na-achị narị puku ndị agha abụọ na iri puku asatọ,
16 And after him Amasias the [son] of Zari, who was zealous for the Lord; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of strength.

17 And out of Benjamin [there was] a mighty man of strength, even Eliada, and with him two hundred thousand archers and targeteers.
Ndị si Benjamin, Eliada, dimkpa nʼagha, na-achị narị puku ndị agha abụọ, ndị ji akụ na ụta, na ọta ebu agha.
18 And after him Jozabad, and with him a hundred and eighty thousand mighty men of war.
Onye ọzọ bụ Jehozabad, onye na-achị narị puku ndị agha na iri puku asatọ, ndị jikeere ibu agha.
19 These were the king's servants besides those whom the king put in the strong cities in all Judea.
Ndị a bụ ndị ikom na-ejere eze ozi, nʼagụnyeghị ndị ahụ o tinyere ka ha nọdụ nʼobodo niile e wusiri ike dị nʼime Juda.
