< Chronicles I 18 >
1 And it came to pass afterwards, that David struck the Philistines, and routed them, and took Geth and its villages out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 And he struck Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, [and] tributaries.
3 And David struck Adraazar king of Suba of Emath, as he was going to establish power toward the river Euphrates.
4 And David took of them a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand infantry: and David houghed all the chariot [horses], but there were reserved of them a hundred chariots.
Pea naʻe toʻo mai ʻe Tevita meiate ia ʻae ngaahi saliote ʻe afe, mo e kakai heka hoosi ʻe toko fitu afe, mo e kakai hāʻele ʻe toko ua mano: pea naʻe tuʻusi foki ʻe Tevita ʻae uoua ʻoe vaʻe ʻoe fanga hoosi kotoa pē ʻoe ngaahi saliote, ka naʻa ne tuku ha [hoosi ]ki he saliote ʻe teau.
5 And the Syrian came from Damascus to help Adraazar king of Suba; and David struck of the Syrian [army] twenty and two thousand men.
6 And David put a garrison in Syria near Damascus; and they became tributary servants to David: and the Lord delivered David wherever he went.
Hili ia naʻe tuku ʻe Tevita [ha kautau ]ki Silia-Tamasikusi: pea naʻe hoko ʻae kakai Silia ko e kau hopoate kia Tevita, pea naʻa nau ʻomi koloa. Naʻe pehē ʻae fakamoʻui ʻa Tevita ʻe Sihova ʻi he potu kotoa pē naʻa ne ʻalu ki ai.
7 And David took the golden collars that were on the servants of Adraazar, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 And David took out of Matabeth, and out of the chief cities of Adraazar very much brass: of this Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the brazen vessels.
Pea mei Tipati foki, pea mei Kuni, ko e ongo kolo ʻa Hetatesa, naʻe ʻomi ʻe Tevita ʻae palasa lahi ʻaupito, ʻaia naʻe ngaohiʻaki ʻe Solomone ʻae fuʻu ʻaiʻanga vai lahi, mo e ngaahi pou, mo e ngaahi ipu palasa.
9 And Thoa king of Emath heard that David had struck the whole force of Adraazar king of Suba.
Pea ko eni, ʻi heʻene fanongo ʻe Tou ko e tuʻi ʻo Hamati ki he teʻia ʻe Tevita ʻae kautau kotoa pē ʻo Hetatesa ko e tuʻi ʻa Sopa;
10 And he sent Aduram his son to king David to ask how he was, and to congratulate him because he had fought against Adraazar, and struck him; for Thoa was the enemy of Adraazar.
Naʻa ne fekau ʻa Hatolami ko hono foha ke [ʻalu ]kia Tevita, ke ʻaʻahi fakakāinga kiate ia, mo ne lea lelei kiate ia, koeʻuhi ko ʻene tauʻi ʻa Hetatesa, mo ne teʻia ia; (he naʻe faʻa tau ʻa Hetatesa mo Tou; ) pea naʻe [ʻoange ]mo ia ʻae ngaahi ipu koula mo e siliva mo e palasa.
11 And all the golden and silver and brazen vessels, even these king David consecrated to the Lord, with the silver and the gold which he took from all the nations; from Idumaea, and Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalec.
Naʻe fakatapui foki ia ʻe Tevita kia Sihova, ʻaia mo e siliva mo e koula naʻa ne ʻomi mei he ngaahi puleʻanga [ko ia]; mei ʻItomi, pea mo Moape, pea mei he fānau ʻa ʻAmoni, pea mei he kakai Filisitia, pea mei ʻAmaleki.
12 And Abesa son of Saruia struck the Idumeans in the valley of Salt, eighteen thousand.
Pea naʻe tāmateʻi ʻe ʻApisai foki ko e tama ʻa Seluia ʻae kau ʻItomi ʻe tokotaha mano mo e toko valu afe ʻi he potu talalo ʻoe māsima.
13 And he put garrisons in the valley; and all the Idumaeans became David's servants: and the Lord delivered David wherever he went.
14 So David reigned over all Israel; and he executed judgment and justice to all his people.
Ko ia, naʻe pule ʻa Tevita ki ʻIsileli kātoa, mo ne fai ʻae fakamaau mo e pule totonu ʻi he lotolotonga ʻo ʻene kakai kotoa pē.
15 And Joab the son of Saruia [was] over the army, and Josaphat the son of Achilud [was] recorder.
Pea naʻe pule ʻa Soape ko e tama ʻa Seluia ki he kautau; pea ko Sihosafate ko e foha ʻo ʻAhilute ko e tangata tohi meʻa fakapuleʻanga ia.
16 And Sadoc son of Achitob, and Achimelech son of Abiathar, [were] the priests; and Susa [was] the scribe;
Pea ko Satoki ko e foha ʻo ʻAhitupe, mo ʻApimeleki ko e foha ʻo ʻApiata, ko e ongo taulaʻeiki ʻakinaua; pea ko Savisa ko e tangata tohi ia;
17 and Banaeas the son of Jodae [was] over the Cherethite and the Phelethite, and the sons of David were the chief deputies of the king.
Pea naʻe pule ʻa Penaia ko e foha ʻo Sihoiata ki he kakai Keliti mo e kakai Peleti; pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Tevita naʻe tuʻu ʻo ofi ki he tuʻi.
