Chronicles I 17
1 And it came to pass as David lived in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Behold, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of the Lord [is] under [curtains] of skins.
ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಒಂದು ದಿನ ದಾವೀದನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನಿಗೆ, “ನೋಡು, ನಾನು ದೇವದಾರು ಮರದ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವು ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
2 And Nathan said to David, Do all that is in your heart; for God [is] with you.
ಆಗ ನಾತಾನನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಇದೆಯೋ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
3 And it came to pass in that night, that the word of the Lord came to Nathan, [saying],
ಅದೇ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನಾತಾನನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
4 Go and say to David my servant, Thus said the Lord, You shall not build me a house for me to dwell in it.
“ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ನಾನು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಬೇಡ.
5 For I have not lived in a house from the day that I brought up Israel until this day, but I have been in a tabernacle and a tent,
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ದಿವಸ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು, ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡದೆ ಒಂದು ಗುಡಾರದ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಗುಡಾರದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೂ, ಒಂದು ತಂಗುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ತಂಗುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೂ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
6 in all places through which I have gone with all Israel: did I ever speak to [any] one tribe of Israel whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, [Why is it] that you have not built me a house of cedar?
ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪರಿಪಾಲಿಸಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಜೊತೆಯಾದರೂ, “ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ದೇವದಾರು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದ ಯಾವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಾದರೂ, ಯಾವಾಗಲಾದರೂ ಕೇಳಿದೆನೋ?’
7 And now thus shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the Lord Almighty, I took you from the sheepfold, from following the flocks, to be a ruler over my people Israel:
“ಈಗ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ಕುರಿಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕುರಿಯ ಹಟ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದೆನು.
8 and I was with you in all places whither you went, and I destroyed all your enemies from before you, and I made for you a name according to the name of the great ones that are upon the earth.
ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದು, ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದೆನು. ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಹಾಪುರುಷರ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.
9 And I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and I will plant him, and he shall dwell by himself, and shall no longer be anxious; and the son of iniquity shall no longer afflict him, as at the beginning,
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವ ಭಯವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು.
10 and from the days when I appointed judges over my people Israel. Also I have humbled all your enemies, and I will increase you, and the Lord will build you a house.
ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದೆ. ಆ ದಿವಸದಿಂದ ಈಚೆಗೆ, ದುಷ್ಟರು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸದೆ ಇರುವರು. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. “‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಾದ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು, ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
11 And it shall come to pass when your days shall be fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, that I will raise up your seed after you, which shall be of your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಕಾಲವು ಮುಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸುವಾಗ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಉತ್ತರಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಮಾಡುವೆನು.
12 He shall build me a house, and I will set up his throne for ever.
ಅವನೇ ನನಗೆ ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವನು. ನಾನು ಅವನ ರಾಜಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನು ಸದಾಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ಥಿರಮಾಡುವೆನು.
13 I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son: and my mercy will I not withdraw from him, as I withdrew [it] from them that were before you.
ನಾನು ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು. ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವನು. ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದವನ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಅವನಿಂದ ಹಿಂತೆಗೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
14 And I will establish him in my house and in his kingdom for ever; and his throne shall be set up for ever.
ಅವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸದಾಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು ಯುಗಯುಗಾಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿರುವುದು,’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so spoke Nathan to David.
ನಾತಾನನು ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.
16 And king David came and sat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what [is] my house, that you have loved me for ever?
ಅನಂತರ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು, “ದೇವರೇ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನಂಥವನಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಈ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ, ಇಷ್ಟು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ನಾನೆಷ್ಟರವನು? ನನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಎಷ್ಟರದು?
17 And these things were little in your sight, O God: you have also spoken concerning the house of your servant for a long time to come, and you have looked upon me as a man looks upon his fellow, and have exalted me, O Lord God.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಇದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಪವೆಂದು ಕಾಣಿಸಿದರೂ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನ ಸಂತಾನದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಕುರಿತೂ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿರುವಿರಿ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಂತೆ ನೋಡಿರುವಿರಿ.
18 What shall David do more toward you to glorify [you]? and you know your servant.
“ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನ ಘನತೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ, ದಾವೀದನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇನಿದೆ? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ.
19 And you have wrought all this greatness according to your heart.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ತಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಈ ಮಹಾಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಎಲ್ಲ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸಿರುವಿರಿ.
20 O Lord, there is none like you, and there is no God beside you, according to all things which we have heard with our ears.
“ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಿವಿಗಳಿಂದ ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೊರತು ದೇವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
21 Neither is there another nation upon the earth [such] as your people Israel, whereas God led him in the way, to redeem a people for himself, to make for himself a great and glorious name, to cast out nations from before your people, whom you redeemed out of Egypt.
ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಜನಾಂಗ ಯಾವುದು? ದೇವರಾದ ನೀವೇ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಜನರಾಗಿ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿ ತಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಕರವಾದ ಮಹಾ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲವೇ?
22 And you have appointed your people Israel as a people to yourself for ever; and you, Lord, did become a God to them.
ನೀವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಜನರಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರಾದಿರಿ.
23 And now, Lord, let the word which you spoke to your servant, and concerning his house, be confirmed for ever, and do you as you have spoken.
“ಈಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತೂ, ಅವನ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿರಿ.
24 And let your name [be] established and magnified for ever, [men] saying, Lord, Lord, Almighty God of Israel: and [let] the house of your servant David [be] established before you.
‘ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಾಮವು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಘನಪಡಲಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಜನರು ಹೇಳಲಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಮನೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
25 For you, O Lord my God, have revealed to the ear of your servant that you will build him a house; therefore your servant has found a willingness to pray before you.
“ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನೆಂದು ಪ್ರಕಟ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಧೈರ್ಯ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು.
26 And now, Lord, you yourself are God, and you have spoken these good things concerning your servant.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ಈ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿದ ನೀವು ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
27 And now you have begun to bless the house of your servant, so that it should continue for ever before you: for you, Lord, have blessed [it], and do you bless [it] for ever.
ಈಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನ ಮನೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿರಿ; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ, ಅದು ನಿತ್ಯ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದು.”
