Chronicles I 12
1 And these [are] they that came to Sikelag, when he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kis; and these [were] among the mighty, aiding [him] in war,
Ahora, estos son los hombres que vinieron a David a Siclag, mientras él todavía estaba desterrado, debido a Saúl, el hijo de Cis; estaban entre los hombres fuertes, sus ayudantes en la guerra.
2 and [using] the bow with the right hand and with the left, and slingers with stones, and [shooters] with bows. Of the brethren of Saul of Benjamin,
Estaban armados con arcos y podían enviar piedras y flechas desde el arco, con la mano derecha o con la izquierda: eran los hermanos de Saúl, de la tribu de Benjamín.
3 the chief [was] Achiezer, and Joas son of Asma the Gabathite, and Joel and Jophalet, sons of Asmoth, and Berchia, and Jeul of Anathoth,
Ahiezer era su jefe, luego Joás, los hijos de Sema de Guibea; y Jeziel y Pelet, los hijos de Azmavet; y Beraca y Jehú de Anatot;
4 and Samaias the Gabaonite a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; [and] Jeremia, and Jeziel, and Joanan, and Jozabath of Gadarathiim,
Ismaías, el Gabaonita, un gran hombre entre los treinta, y su jefe; y Jeremías, Jehaziel, Johanan, Jozabad de Gedera;
5 Azai and Arimuth, and Baalia, and Samaraia, and Saphatias of Charaephiel,

6 Helcana, and Jesuni, and Ozriel, and Jozara, and Sobocam, and the Corites,
Elcana, Isaías y Azareel, Joezer, Jasobeam, Coreitas;
7 and Jelia and Zabadia, sons of Iroam, and the [men] of Gedor.

8 And from Gad these separated themselves to David from the wilderness, strong mighty men of war, bearing shields and spears, and their faces [were as] the face of a lion, and they were nimble as roes upon the mountains in speed.
Y algunos de los gaditas, al lado de David, fueron a su fortaleza en el desierto, hombres grandes y fuertes, entrenados para la guerra, expertos en el uso de armas, cuyos rostros eran como los rostros de leones, y eran de patas rápidas como venados en las montañas;
9 Aza the chief, Abdia the second, Eliab the third,
Ezer su jefe, Obadiah, el segundo; Eliab, el tercero;
10 Masmana the fourth, Jeremias the fifth,

11 Jethi the sixth, Eliab the seventh,

12 Joanan the eighth, Eleazer the ninth,

14 These [were] chiefs of the army of the sons of Gad, the least one commander of a hundred, and the greatest one of a thousand.
Estos gaditas eran capitanes del ejército; el menor de ellos era el capitán de más de cien hombres y el mayor de los mil.
15 These [are] the [men] that crossed over Jordan in the first month, and it had overflowed all its banks; and they drove out all the inhabitants of the valleys, from the east to the west.
Fueron los que pasaron por el Jordán en el primer mes, cuando el río se desbordó, e hicieron huir a todas las personas de los valles, al este y al oeste.
16 And there came [some] of the sons of Benjamin and Juda to the assistance of David.
Y algunos de los hijos de Benjamín y Judá vinieron a David en su fortaleza.
17 And David went out to meet them, and said to them, If you are come peaceably to me, let my heart be at peace with you: but if [you are come] to betray me to my enemies unfaithfully, the God of your fathers look upon it, and reprove it.
Y saliendo a ellos David, les dijo: Si han venido en paz para ayudarme, mi corazón se unirá al de ustedes; pero si has venido a entregarme a aquellos que me quitarían la vida, aunque mis manos están limpias de cualquier mal, entonces el Dios de nuestros padres puede verlo y castigarte.
18 And the Spirit came upon Amasai, a captain of the thirty, and he said, Go, David, son of Jesse, you and your people, peace, peace be to you, and peace to your helpers, for your God has helped you. And David received them, and made them captains of the forces.
Entonces vino el espíritu sobre Amasai, que era el jefe de los capitanes, y dijo: Somos tuyos, David, estamos de tu lado, oh hijo de Isaí: que la paz esté contigo y que la paz a los que te ayudan porque Dios es tu ayudante. Entonces David los llevó a su ejército y los convirtió en capitanes del ejército.
19 And [some] came to David from Manasse, when the Philistines came against Saul to war: and he helped them not, because the captains of the Philistines took counsel, saying, With the heads of those men will he return to his master Saul.
Y algunos de los hombres de Manasés se acercaron a David, cuando fue con los filisteos a la guerra contra Saúl, pero no les ayudó: porque los señores de los filisteos, después de discutir, lo despidieron, diciendo: Volverá a su maestro Saúl, al precio de nuestras vidas.
20 When David was going to Sikelag, there came to him of Manasse, Edna and Jozabath, and Rodiel, and Michael, and Josabaith, and Elimuth, and Semathi: [these] are the captains of thousands of Manasse.
Luego, cuando regresó a Siclag, se acercó a él, de los hombres de Manasés, Adnas y Jozabad y Jediael y Micael y Jozabad y Elihu y Ziletai, capitanes de miles de los ejércitos de Manasés.
21 And they fought on the side of David against a troop, for they [were] all men of might; and they were commanders in the army, [because] of [their] might.
Y ayudaron a David contra las bandas armadas, porque todos ellos eran grandes hombres de guerra y capitanes en el ejército.
22 For daily men came to David, [till they amounted] to a great force, as the force of God.
Y de día en día llegaron más partidarios a David, hasta que tuvo un gran ejército como el ejército de Dios.
23 And these [are] the names of the commanders of the army, who came to David to Chebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him according to the word of the Lord.
Estos son los números de los jefes de los hombres armados, listos para la guerra, que llegaron a David en Hebrón, para entregar el reino de Saúl en sus manos, como el Señor lo había dicho.
24 The sons of Juda, bearing shields and spears, six thousand and eight hundred mighty in war.
Había seis mil ochocientos lanceros de los hijos de Judá, armados para la guerra;
25 Of the sons of Symeon mighty for battle, seven thousand and a hundred.
Siete mil, cien de los hijos de Simeón, grandes hombres de guerra;
26 Of the sons of Levi, four thousand and six hundred.
De los hijos de Leví, cuatro mil seiscientos.
27 And Joadas the chief [of the family] of Aaron, and with him three thousand and seven hundred.
Y Joiada, la principal de la familia de Aarón, y con él tres mil setecientos hombres;
28 And Sadoc, a young [man] mighty in strength, and [there were] twenty-two leaders of his father's house.
Y Sadoc, un joven, grande y fuerte en la guerra, con veintidós capitanes de la gente de su padre.
29 And of the sons of Benjamin, the brethren of Saul, three thousand: and still the greater part of them kept the guard of the house of Saul.
Y de los hijos de Benjamín, los hermanos de Saúl, tres mil; durante ese tiempo, la mayor parte de ellos había sido fiel a Saúl.
30 And of the sons of Ephraim, twenty thousand and eight hundred mighty men, famous in the houses of their fathers.
Y de los hijos de Efraín, veinte mil ochocientos grandes hombres de guerra, hombres de gran nombre en sus familias.
31 And of the half-tribe of Manasse, eighteen thousand, even [those] who were named by name, to make David king.
Y de la media tribu de Manasés, dieciocho mil, nombrados por nombre, vinieron a hacer rey a David.
32 And of the sons of Issachar having wisdom with regard to the times, knowing what Israel should do, two hundred; and all their brethren with them.
Y de los hijos de Isacar, había doscientos jefes, hombres que tenían conocimiento experto de los tiempos y lo que era mejor que hiciera Israel, y todos sus hermanos estaban bajo sus órdenes.
33 And of Zabulon they that went out to battle, with all weapons of war, [were] fifty thousand to help David, not weak-handed.
De Zabulón, había cincuenta mil hombres que salieron con el ejército, expertos en organizar la batalla, para ayudar con todo tipo de armas; Hombres de corazón verdadero.
34 And of Nephthali a thousand captains, and with them [men] with shields and spears, thirty-seven thousand.
Y de Neftalí, mil capitanes con treinta y siete mil lanzas y escudos.
35 And of the Danites [men] ready for war twenty-eight thousand and eight hundred.
Y de los de Dan, veintiocho mil seiscientos, expertos en ordenar la pelea.
36 And of Aser, they that went out to give aid in war, forty thousand.
De la tribu de Aser, cuarenta mil que salieron con el ejército, expertos en infantería.
37 And from the country beyond Jordan, from Ruben, and the Gadites, and from the half-tribe of Manasse, a hundred and twenty thousand, with all weapons of war.
Desde el otro lado del Jordán, había ciento veinte mil de Rubén y de Gad y los hombres de la media tribu de Manasés, armados con todo tipo de instrumentos de guerra.
38 All these [were] men of war, setting [the army] in battle array, with a peaceful mind [towards him], and they came to Chebron to make David king over all Israel: and the rest of Israel [were of] one mind to make David king.
Todos estos hombres de guerra, expertos en organizar la batalla, llegaron a Hebrón con el propósito de hacer que David fuera rey sobre todo Israel; y todo el resto de Israel se unió en su deseo de hacer rey a David.
39 And they were there three days eating and drinking, for their brethren [had] made preparations.
Por tres días estuvieron allí con David, festejando en su mesa, porque sus hermanos habían preparado la comida para ellos.
40 And their neighbors, as far as Issachar and Zabulon and Nephthali, brought to them upon camels, and asses, and mules, and upon calves, food, meal, cakes of figs, raisins, wine, and oil, calves and sheep abundantly: for [there was] joy in Israel.
Y los que estaban cerca, hasta Isacar, Zabulón, Neftalí, vinieron con comida en asnos y camellos y mulas y bueyes, con comida para comer y tortas de higos, pasas, vino, aceite, bueyes, ovejas en gran número, porque había gozo en Israel.
