Chronicles I 11
1 And all Israel came to David in Chebron, saying, Behold, we [are] your bones and your flesh.
Entonces todo Israel se juntó a David en Hebrón, diciendo: He aquí, nosotros somos tu hueso y tu carne:
2 And heretofore when Saul was king, you were he that led Israel in and out, and the Lord of Israel said to you, You shall feed my people Israel, and you shall be for a ruler over Israel.
Y demás de esto, ayer y anteayer, aun cuando Saul reinaba, tú sacabas y metías a Israel. También Jehová tu Dios te ha dicho: Tú apacentarás mi pueblo Israel, y tú serás príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel.
3 And all the elders of Israel came to the king to Chebron; and king David made a covenant with them in Chebron before the Lord: and they anointed David to be king over Israel, according to the word of the Lord by Samuel.
Y vinieron todos los ancianos de Israel al rey en Hebrón; y David hizo con ellos alianza en Hebrón delante de Jehová; y ellos ungieron a David por rey sobre Israel, conforme a la palabra de Jehová por mano de Samuel.
4 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem, this [is] Jebus; and there the Jebusites the inhabitants of the land said to David,
Entonces David con todo Israel se fue a Jerusalem, la cual es Jebús, porque allí el Jebuseo era habitador de aquella tierra.
5 You shall not enter in hither. But he took the strong hold of Sion: this [is] the city of David.
Y los de Jebús dijeron a David: No entrarás acá. Mas David tomó la fortaleza de Sión, que es la ciudad de David.
6 And David said, Whoever first smites the Jebusite, even he shall be chief and captain. And Joab the son of Saruia went up first, and became chief.
Y David dijo: El que primero hiriere al Jebuseo, será cabeza y príncipe. Entonces subió Joab, hijo de Sarvia, el primero, y fue hecho príncipe.
7 And David lived in the strong hold; therefore he called it the city of David.
Y David habitó en la fortaleza, y por esto la llamaron la ciudad de David.
8 And he fortified the city round about.
Y edificó la ciudad al derredor desde Melo hasta la cerca: y Joab reparó el resto de la ciudad.
9 And David continued to increase, and the Lord Almighty [was] with him.
Y David se aumentaba, yendo creciendo, y Jehová de los ejércitos era con él.
10 And these [are] the chiefs of the mighty men, whom David had, who strengthened [themselves] with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the Lord concerning Israel.
Estos son los capitanes de los valientes hombres que David tuvo, y los que le ayudaron en su reino, con todo Israel, para hacerle rey sobre Israel, conforme a la palabra de Jehová.
11 And this [is] the list of the mighty [men] of David; Jesebada, son of Achaman, first of the thirty: he drew his sword once against three hundred whom he killed at one time.
Y este es el número de los valientes que David tuvo: Jesbaán, hijo de Hacamoní, príncipe de los treinta, el cual blandió su lanza una vez contra trescientos, a los cuales mató.
12 And after him Eleazar son of Dodai, the Achochite: he was among the three mighty men.
Tras este fue Eleasar, hijo de Dodo, Ahohita, el cual era entre los tres valientes.
13 He was with David in Phasodamin, and the Philistines were gathered there to battle, and [there was] a portion of the field full of barley; and the people fled before the Philistines.
Este estaba con David en Fes-domim, estando allí juntos en batalla los Filisteos: y había allí una suerte de tierra llena de cebada, y huyendo el pueblo delante de los Filisteos,
14 And he stood in the midst of the portion, and rescued it, and struck the Philistines; and the Lord wrought a great deliverance.
Ellos se pusieron en medio de la haza, y la defendieron, y vencieron a los Filisteos; y salvó Jehová de gran salud.
15 And three of the thirty chiefs went down to the rock to David, to the cave of Odollam, and the camp of the Philistines [was] in the giants' valley.
Ítem, tres de los treinta principales, descendieron a la peña a David, a la cueva de Odollam, estando el campo de los Filisteos en el valle de Rafaim.
16 And David [was] then in the hold, and the garrison of the Philistines [was] then in Bethleem.
Y David estaba entonces en la fortaleza, y el alojamiento de los Filisteos estaba en Belén.
17 And David longed, and said, Who will give me water to drink of the well of Bethleem, that is in the gate?
Entonces David deseó, y dijo: ¡Oh quién me diese a beber de las aguas del pozo de Belén, que está a la puerta!
18 And the three broke through the camp of the Philistines, and they drew water out of the well that was in Bethleem, which was in the gate, and they took it, and came to David: but David would not drink it, and poured it out to the Lord, and said,
Entonces aquellos tres rompieron por el campo de los Filisteos, y sacaron agua del pozo de Belén, que está a la puerta: y tomaron, y trajéronla a David: mas él no la quiso beber, mas derramóla a Jehová, y dijo:
19 God forbid that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood of these men with their lives? for with [the peril of] their lives they brought it. So he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty [men].
Guárdeme mi Dios de hacer esto: ¿había yo de beber la sangre de estos varones con sus vidas, que con el peligro de sus vidas la han traído? Y no la quiso beber. Esto hicieron aquellos tres valientes.
20 And Abisa the brother of Joab, he was chief of three: he drew his sword against three hundred slain at one time, and he had a name among the [second] three.
Ítem, Abisaí, hermano de Joab, era cabeza de los tres, el cual blandió su lanza sobre trescientos, a los cuales hirió: y en los tres fue nombrado.
21 He was more famous than the two [others] of the three, and he was chief [over] them; yet he reached not to the [first] three.
Y fue el más ilustre de los tres, en los segundos; y fue príncipe de ellos: mas no llegó a los tres primeros.
22 And Banaia the son of Jodae was the son of a mighty man: many [were] his acts for Cabasael: he struck two lion-like men of Moab, and he went down and struck a lion in a pit on a snowy day.
Banaías, hijo de Joiada, hijo de varón de esfuerzo, de grandes hechos, de Cabseel. Este venció los dos leones de Moab. El mismo descendió, e hirió un león en mitad de un foso en tiempo de nieve.
23 And he struck an Egyptian, a wonderful man five cubits [high]; and in the hand of the Egyptian [there was] a spear like a weavers' beam; and Banaia went down to him with a staff, and took the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and killed him with his own spear.
El mismo venció a un Egipcio, hombre de medida de cinco codos: y el Egipcio traía una lanza como un enjullo de tejedor: y él descendió a él con un bastón; y arrebató al Egipcio la lanza de la mano, y matóle con su misma lanza.
24 These things did Banaia son of Jodae, and his name [was] among the three mighties.
Esto hizo Banaías, hijo de Joiada, y fue nombrado entre los tres valientes,
25 He was distinguished beyond the thirty, yet he reached not to the [first] three: and David set him over his family.
Y fue el más honrado de los treinta, mas no llegó a los tres. A este puso David en su consejo.
26 And the mighty [men] of the forces [were], Asael the brother of Joab, Eleanan the son of Dodoe of Bethleem,
Y los valientes de los ejércitos fueron Asael, hermano de Joab, y Elcanán, hijo de Dodo, de Belén,
27 Samaoth the Arorite, Chelles the Phelonite,
Samot Arotita, Helles Falonita,
28 Ora the son of Ekkis the Thecoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,
Ira, hijo de Acces Tecuita, Abiezer Anatotita,
29 Sobochai the Usathite, Eli the Achonite,
Sobocai Husatita, Ilai Ahohita,
30 Marai the Netophathite, Chthaod the son of Nooza the Netophathite,
Maharai Netofatita, Heled, hijo de Baana Netofatita,
31 Airi the son of Rebie of the hill of Benjamin, Banaias the Pharathonite,
Etai, hijo de Ribai, de Gabaat, de los hijos de Ben-jamín, Banaías Paratonita,
32 Uri of Nachali Gaas, Abiel the Garabaethite,

43 Anan the son of Moocha, and Josaphat the Matthanite,

44 Ozia the Astarothite, Samatha and Jeiel sons of Chotham the Ararite,

45 Jediel the son of Sameri, and Jozae his brother the Thosaite,
