Titus 3
1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
Amonéstales que se sujeten a los principados y potestades, que obedezcan, que estén aparejados a toda buena obra:
2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, [but] gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Que no digan mal de nadie, que no sean pendencieros, mas modestos, mostrando toda mansedumbre para con todos los hombres.
3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.
Porque también éramos nosotros insensatos en otro tiempo, rebeldes, errados, sirviendo a concupiscencias y deleites diversos, viviendo en malicia y en envidia, aborrecibles, aborreciendo los unos a los otros:
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Mas cuando se manifestó la bondad del Salvador nuestro Dios, y su amor para con los hombres,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
No por las obras de justicia que nosotros habíamos hecho, mas por su misericordia, nos salvó por el lavamiento de la regeneración, y de la renovación del Espíritu Santo;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
El cual derramó en nosotros ricamente por Jesu Cristo Salvador nuestro:
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Para que justificados por su gracia, seamos hechos herederos según la esperanza de la vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
8 [This is] a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Palabra fiel, y estas cosas quiero que afirmes constantemente: que los que creen a Dios, procuren sobresalir en buenas obras. Esto es lo bueno y lo útil para los hombres.
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
Mas evita las cuestiones insensatas, y las genealogías, y las contenciones, y disputas sobre la ley; porque son sin provecho y vanas.
10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
Al hombre hereje, después de una y otra amonestación, deséchale:
11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
Estando cierto que el tal es trastornado, y peca, siendo condenado de su propio juicio.
12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
Cuando enviare a ti a Artemas, o a Tíquico, dáte priesa en venir a mí a Nicópolis; porque allí he determinado de invernar.
13 Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.
A Zénas doctor de la ley, y a Apolo envía delante, procurando que nada les falte.
14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
Aprendan asimismo los nuestros a sobresalir en buenas obras para los usos necesarios, porque no sean inútiles.
15 All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace [be] with you all. Amen.
Todos los que están conmigo te saludan. Saluda a los que nos aman en la fe. La gracia sea con todos vosotros. Amén. A Tito, el cual fue el primer obispo ordenado para la iglesia de los Cretenses, escrita de Nicópolis de Macedonia.
