< Song of Solomon 1 >
1 The song of songs, which [is] Solomon’s.
Pesem pesmi, ki je Salomonova.
2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love [is] better than wine.
Naj me poljublja s poljubi svojih ust, kajti tvoja ljubezen je boljša kakor vino.
3 Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name [is as] ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.
Zaradi vonja tvojih dobrih mazil je tvoje ime kakor izlito mazilo, zato te ljubijo device.
4 Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.
Povleci me, me bomo tekle za teboj. Kralj me je privedel v svoje sobe; me bomo vesele in se veselile v tebi, me se bomo spominjale tvoje ljubezni bolj kakor vina. Poštene te ljubijo.
5 I [am] black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
Črna sem, toda ljubka, oh ve hčere jeruzalemske, kakor kedárski šotori, kakor Salomonove zavese.
6 Look not upon me, because I [am] black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; [but] mine own vineyard have I not kept.
Ne glejte name, ker sem počrnela, ker je name pogledalo sonce. Otroci moje matere so bili jezni name, postavili so me za varuhinjo vinogradov, toda svojega lastnega vinograda nisem varovala.
7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest [thy flock] to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?
Povej mi, oh ti, ki ga ljubi moja duša, kje paseš, kje daješ svojemu tropu, da počiva opoldan; kajti zakaj bi bila jaz kakor nekdo, ki se obrača vstran ob tropih tvojih družabnikov?
8 If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds’ tents.
Če ne veš, oh najlepša med ženami, pojdi svojo pot naprej ob stopinjah tropa in pasi svoje kozličke poleg pastirskih šotorov.
9 I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh’s chariots.
Primerjal sem te, oh moja ljubezen, s skupino konj v faraonovih bojnih vozovih.
10 Thy cheeks are comely with rows [of jewels], thy neck with chains [of gold].
Tvoja lica so ljubka z nizi draguljev, tvoj vrat z verižicami iz zlata.
11 We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver.
Naredile ti bomo zlate robove s srebrnimi kroglicami.
12 While the king [sitteth] at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.
Medtem ko kralj sedi pri svoji mizi, moja narda oddaja svoj vonj.
13 A bundle of myrrh [is] my wellbeloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts.
Moj srčno ljubljeni mi je sveženj mire, vso noč bo ležal med mojimi prsmi.
14 My beloved [is] unto me [as] a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of En-gedi.
Moj ljubljeni mi je kakor skupina kan v engedijskih vinogradih.
15 Behold, thou [art] fair, my love; behold, thou [art] fair; thou [hast] doves’ eyes.
Glej, lepa si, moja ljubezen, glej, lepa si, imaš oči golobice.
16 Behold, thou [art] fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed [is] green.
Glej, lep si, moj ljubljeni, da, prijeten. Tudi najina postelja je zelena.
17 The beams of our house [are] cedar, [and] our rafters of fir.
Bruna najine hiše so cedre in najini trami v ostrešju iz cipresovine.
